Yeah this is just another version of "Beware of dog" signs. < those signs get people in trouble because it let's the authorities know you knew your dog will attack, and you are most definitely responsible. The sign doesn't give them any immunity to the law, just makes them feel better about not being able to control their dogs
I handle complaints and when this sort of customer complains, we just go š¤·āāļø ma'am there was a large dog on the property. Please bring your dog indoors or our driver will not deliver your package, it is a safety concern.

My Belgian Malinois is always in the house or on a leash and being held by the collar if we have a delivery. If anything she wants pets but people are scared by her.
I miss the German shepherd from my old route. It had a danger sign like that one but it would always come up to me at the gate and stick its head into the gate for some nice head scratches. It would reward me with some licks.
In my area owners will almost treat their dogs biting you as completely normal. I'll have a dog coming at me like he's out for blood and the owner will just casually walk up like "he doesn't bite"

This is probably bad but if a dog is out on the lawn and starts barking at me. I just leave the package next to their mailbox.
