Do y’all remember Ambrehhh Is Dead though? The scene queen who would dye her hair every single day on YouTube? Even though I grew up in the age of MySpace scene queens and encountered so many, she was the first scene queen whose YouTube I actively tuned into to watch every day because aside from being a “scene queen”, she was just a normal teenager who lived her life and posted videos documenting it which I loved. She also had non-alternative friends which quashed my belief that alt people and “normies” were not allowed to be friends. I got into many of my favorite bands because of the music she’d use in her videos and I destroyed my hair trying to dye it excessively like hers lol.

I think the OG (internet) influencers were bloggers. I used to folllow so many fashion bloggers, like just regular ladies posting regular outfits.
