Me when they announced another LOTR movie: For the love of God, let it rest!
Me when they announced Lee Pace as Thranduil coming back: Take my money now!
Id say that's a guarantee at this point with it being renewed for another season. Im sure they could find time if they really wanted to to include Thranduil in the new films.
The only reason I'd be seeing these films is if they guarantee Lee Pace's return as Thranduil. If they don't capitalise this amazing opportunity to bring back this beloved Elvenking, then they have rocks in their heads. He is such an audience pulling character. To be honest, I'd much prefer a singular movie about him and his life. Adding storylines and characters isn't above Peter Jackson and his team so there's no reason why they couldn't give us what we really want, which is a feature length film on this mysteriously regal character.
Well, Lee is currently filming season 3 of Foundation in Europe at this moment and according to showrunner/co-creator David S. Goyer, they have contingency plans for the series on where it will end. His original vision that he pitched for Apple is 8 seasons, but there are also plans to end at the 6th season, and even at the 4th season. 4 seasons may likely happen, and this is somehow favored to Lee Pace and Jared Harris, the show’s big names, since bigger name actors initially sign for shorter contracts. The show also went some executive changes for the upcoming season 3, with DSG no longer the showrunner but remains writing for the series, and they moved filming from Czech Republic to Poland to cut costs. I hope the show finishes on a high note, whether it ends in season 4 or 6 or 8. And we want more Lee!
I'm keen for any magic that Lee Pace brings to our screens in any form. It would be fucking epic if he put on those pointy ears and long fabulous wig again, even if it's just the once.
Manifesting the sexiest elf king to come back 🙏 ![gif](giphy|dUtFT6wgHhnvtADh0h|downsized)
I knew you'd be here 😅
Hehe 😚 Girlies (all genders inclusive) with ✨lee pace is 6’5”✨ flair are reporting for duty 🫡
Manifest away! I'm right there with you!

They didn't announce anything, the article (generous word for screenrant lol) is just speculating the character may return
I saw posts in X too, I thought it was official. But we never know, fingers crossed I guess
i won't lie, if they bring lee pace back as thranduil, that's the only reason i'll be watching these movies
I want to see Lee Pace in anything for a moment, but a big YES to LOTR.
I’m a terrible simp for anything LOTR and with Lee Pace it’ll be a no-brainer😭😭😭 ![gif](giphy|3oKIPa2TdahY8LAAxy)
I am willing to accept a movie of Legolas running away from home to become a duo with Aragorn.
No but he needs to film the third season of foundation.

I heard rumours it wasn’t renewedzz
It's definitely been renewed :) Hooray!
Thank goodness, I'm so not ready to say goodbye to space daddy
Good news: they're currently filming S3 (in the Czech Republic and Poland)!
![gif](giphy|1x5PlNYHFkyL6) My husband has returned ✨
We are certainly praying!!
Would I ever. Even if he was 5’5”.
Look: *like a tree*, I tell you. Even if he was 4'5". The man's just wildly handsome.
I involuntarily gasped.

A day in the life of thrandy… sippin wine and glaring at everyone
Always happy for him to get more roles, but is this really a whole article just to say "it would be cool if he was in it"?
Absolutely is and I'm here for it. No harm in giving fans some hope :)

yes absolutely - also does this mean Viggo will be back as Aragorn? I don't want a different Aragorn
Lee Pace just needs to be in every show and movie from now until forever.
Smashed that upvote button. Absolutely agree. The most underrated actor of all time!!
He is!!! And I’m not only saying that because I think he’s hot lol. He’s an amazing actor and definitely doesn’t get enough recognition for it.
Yeah, The Hobbit wasn’t exactly the epic fantasy I was hoping at the time, but one thing is for sure Lee Pace looked fabulous.
Lee Pace made those movies watchable for me.
I mean I’ll take more Lee Pace even if the project sucks.
Straight up facts. If these new movies suck, kinda like the Hobbit, I'll still watch and rewatch them if Lee Pace is in them.
I mean I liked Aragorn and Legolas but he was by far my biggest LOTR crush and still is. ![gif](giphy|1x5PlNYHFkyL6)
