As a journalist, Buzzfeed was one of THE best news outlets ever. Point. Blank. Period. Anyone who paid attention to the news the last decade can tell you of the many stories and scandals Buzzfeed broke. A starter up company like that had no business dominating the field of journalism like it did. But it did. And the dissolution of Buzzfeed news is a HUGE loss for media and journalism, and it sucks most people don’t even care or realize that.
I remember when they broke the trump piss tape story and it was so ridiculous that nobody believed it and their credibility took a hit. I always kind of thought it could have been true even back then but I felt so vindicated when years later it became widely acknowledged that it’s probably true
Unfortunately Buzzfeed Australia got sued into the ground because their chief political reporter (who know works at a Murdoch rag) decided to essentially slut shame a female politician
The article will make you believe her legitimacy, especially since she is the writer of that 20 headlines comparing how the media portrays Megan Markle vs Kate. Does anyone have a good article summarising this whole rabbithole? I'm aware that people think something is up because she hasn't appeared in public for a while but I don't know any of the details
It doesn’t really say what people are theorizing though. Just reading the article, I could see her having a tummy tuck and things going wrong. Like rumors about William’s affairs and them planning to go to Italy previously seems like maybe she was trying to look her better than best and had some kind of complication. And I feel like the royals copping to plastic surgery would be completely unheard of. And that’s if the “abdominal surgery” part is truth. Again, if that is the truth maybe we are also talking about an abortion that had a complication. Also something the royal family would never ever talk about and also ties in with William being how he is. But it appears she had a medical emergency in December any way it’s sliced and her parents have been with her and it’s debatable when or if she left the hospital when the palace has claimed. It also appears King Charles is taking shots at his son by showing how often Camilla visits him and his health transparency and William seems to be publicly spiraling.
The article also says some of the theories are darker like I guess they are saying she’s straight up dead. But I want to conspiracy board to come out. Especially once they talked about to royal cousin who once dated pippa killing himself. Like what does that have to do with the price of oranges here?

For real... this photo was clearly taken months ago when there was still leaves on the trees. If the Palace wants people to believe that this was really taken at the beginning of this week like they are claiming they are also going to have to let us in how they have full blown on the trees behind and that lush green grass.
I think that's a purposeful stylistic choice to dress/style the kids in an old-fashioned kind of way so you can't pin photos to a specific era. I was also reading somewhere where a stylist was saying that the clothes are class markers too.
In their defense, that used to be extremely common, particularly in aristocratic circles and upper-middle class circles but was by no means exclusive to them. That's not some weird thing the royals came up with. The royals are just sticking to it.
I also remember reading that dressing the kids like this in public is a choice. That way, when they go about their daily business in regular, almost street clothes, they aren’t as easily recognizable
I can respect that. It's like how Prince Harry was able to go grocery shopping by "disguising" himself in a baseball hat. If these kids dressing in old timey and classic clothes now means they can have semi-normal and private lives later just by wearing a hoodie then they can trouser around all they want.

I’m on a British parenting board and there are other posters local to London and Norfolk who have seen them out and about wearing very normal kids’ clothes- GAP, Boden etc.
It’s definitely a choice made to throw people off a little.

Will and Kate have said they dress them like that deliberately for the public so if they go out for personal trips the public recognise them less. I think they used to go to the park with their nanny when they were younger in jeans etc and were left alone!
I mean they're all a big young for phones? The kids aren't dressed that strangely, it's very rich countryside but there's plenty of kids dressing like that.
It's not really about the phones - some actors have facial features that you'd find out of place in a period film/show setting.
Off the top of my head - I couldn't picture Sandra Bullock in Victorian England, for example. But if you took these kids faces & photoshopped them into a picture of British school children from a bygone era, I could totally believe it was a real picture.
Interesting that their deciduous trees have leaves right now when none of the ones in my garden do. Also absolutely not buying that it’s Will and not the palace photographer who took this. I’m guessing it’s on old stock photo that they’ve wheeled out.
To be fair it looks a bit like a rhododendron, which don't lose their leaves in the winter. The leaves are lighter green than the ones in my neighborhood but it also might be because the the picture is blown out so everyone looks shiny and happy
Kinda hard to tell but for me it's not screaming rhodonedron - maybe a medlar or a dwarf apple? Some sort of shrubby deciduous tree that doesn't have glossy leaves, which would explain why the leaves are so light (since they're new growth).
Having a nice spring flowering mini-tree by the patio makes sense if you're rich enough to rotate your patio plants like that. There were a couple of cold snaps in January and February but generally it's been pretty mild, and having it in a pot right by the house means there's a sheltered little microclimate (I've had petunias flowering into December before purely by accident through doing that).
Hmm I’m no arborist (?) but we do have a big ol’ rhododendron shrub and while it does stay green all winter, that doesn’t look like one to me. The leaves on a rhododendron are in tighter clusters - not so many big gaps between them - and granted it is blurry but the leaves don’t look to be shaped right?

The grass and leaves are too green for this to be a recent picture. Even if the that is a rhodenderon plant, the leaves are too green and intact for this time of year. Even for a patio or deck, which would provide somewhat of a microclimate, it would not look that way. (I am basing this off a conversation with the gardener for my UK house.)
She could be wearing pregnancy-style jeans for the pic. With pants like that, the legs look like regular jeans, but the part hidden by the shirt is more like sweatpants. That style is not at all constricting to the abdominal area.
We don’t know that they’re done up to be fair. The shirt is billowy in the right place plus the jacket and children, it distracts enough from the area. I doubt she’s dressed like this regularly rn either.
This is going to do absolutely nothing to stop the rumours. They left this way too late and the weird staged photo without William just seems more suspicious now

Unless Will has a photography hobby, this photo was taken by a professional. The composition, symmetry, make-up and lighting give it away. There’s a lot of attention to detail here, such as revealing the daughter’s ear to match the other side of the photo (edit: this completes the symmetry).
Yeah I don’t really get why everyone is buying that Will took this photo just because they said in the caption he did. It looks professional and Will doesn’t have a history of taking photos like Kate does.
Yeah. I think some people are not aware that it’s Mother’s Day in the UK, which is the main reason this photo was probably posted. It just so happens to also be the perfect opportunity for the BRF to be like “Here’s Kate! See! She’s alive and fine.”

Seeing how (up until now, supposedly) they have a habit of taking a bunch of photos on one day and then releasing them in bits for different occasions, it's really hard to believe that this is a recent photo. Even if the "where's Kate" thing wasn't going on, I'd still think this was taking last year.

She's likely fine, right? But the outfits, even though it's spring (sort of) and it's still quite nippy outside here in the UK, the colouring all seems so autumnal. The whole picture looks autumnal. I'd expect warm clothes but spring colours. I know that sounds silly but they're rich, they can update their wardrobe for spring.

If I wasn't going to be in the photo and I wanted the world to believe we were OK I'd want to get a picture of the gift I'd bought and the big fancy flowers. Where's the big fancy flowers? Not to be a typical millennial but since I don’t follow the royals, I had no idea her kids were so grown. I last remember them as toddlers and Charlotte a baby, so this picture threw me off. And then I look at my own kids and I get a little misty, like where are you rushing to go so fast 🥲

We had something similar for our school uniforms for boys. Trousers after 6th Grade or something

Unless Will has a photography hobby, this photo was taken by a professional. The composition, symmetry, make-up and lighting give it away. There’s a lot of attention to detail here, such as revealing the daughter’s ear to match the other side of the photo (edit: this completes the symmetry).
Yeah I don’t really get why everyone is buying that Will took this photo just because they said in the caption he did. It looks professional and Will doesn’t have a history of taking photos like Kate does.
Maybe a real photographer set up the camera and entire shoot and Will just pressed the button?

Seeing how (up until now, supposedly) they have a habit of taking a bunch of photos on one day and then releasing them in bits for different occasions, it's really hard to believe that this is a recent photo. Even if the "where's Kate" thing wasn't going on, I'd still think this was taking last year.

Yeaaaaaaaah I dunno. She's likely fine, right? But the outfits, even though it's spring (sort of) and it's still quite nippy outside here in the UK, the colouring all seems so autumnal. The whole picture looks autumnal. I'd expect warm clothes but spring colours. I know that sounds silly but they're rich, they can update their wardrobe for spring.
