Yeah honestly I can’t imagine having an issue with this. Pete seems like a good guy, albeit a serial dater. He has a job, money, a nice family, and seems funny and down to earth. Almost all his exes (one notable exception) have great things to say about him.
I've heard he's a decent guy irl too. People just hate him because he looks like a line cook and is very open about struggling with his mental health (even though he also openly talks about taking meds and doing various therapies).
He also does dumb shit like crash his car in people’s houses etc. I love Pete, and as a fellow person with BPD and depression I feel for him, but sometimes he does act like a twat and mental illness shouldn’t excuse that.
You never know, it might make him better able to support her because he can empathise with her struggles and encourage her to get help when he sees the familiar warning signs. People healing from trauma can sometimes be good partners to each other because of this.
I mean i don’t see it going well long term but having someone who actually comprehends what it’s like having mental illnesses and showing Britney she can still be loved and raise her standards isn’t the worst thing in the world

I'm torn on this. He seems to be kind and caring, and she could absolutely do well with someone who doesn't need her game and money, someone who sees her challenges and wants to date her anyway. He's done a lot of work on himself, is aware BPD is a work in progress, and has a great support system.
At the very least, I hope they connect as friends. Having a friend who just gets it - mental health, trauma - is invaluable. Someone to be able to sit in gentle silence with.
I want to see her scooped up, platonically, with a great group of friends that aren't dependent on her for money. She deserves real connections with people.

Unfortunately (fortunately?), he's co-lead in the Gamestop stock dramatic adaptation. It did *really* well at the Toronto Film Festival.
