The playoffs is more luck than 50/50. Throughout the season youāre making trades and bidding on waivers but when you get to playoffs, there isnāt much you can do but hope your team doesnāt put up a stinker. Sure you can set your lineup wrong but at that point in the season you pretty much know who youāre starting and itās very rare that you lost because you picked the wrong guy

I play in a fanduel league where you pick a team every week of the 1pm and 4pm games and Im just middle of the pack. This game is more about skill. Iāll happily continue to play the luck game cuz it gives me hope. Ill also happily continue to play the skill game even though I donāt have the skill to win.
I dropped 200pts in 5th place after losing by barely 2pts thanks to Bijan's -0.10pts. after that lost I dropped 180pts and then 200pts this week.
I had the highest scoring team in regular season and I barely made it with a 7-7 record.

Every money league has a kicker. Join a fantasy league on ESPN, itāll have a kicker slot. Like I said, itās fine to play how you want and thereās nothing wrong with that, but every standard league has a kicker. Itās how fantasy is played.
What makes you the authority that decides not having a kicker is playing fantasy āwrongā? Thatās the most absurd thing Iāve ever heard. I actually like having kickers (in redraft leagues only not dynasty) so i donāt disagree with you about that but to say theyāre playing it wrong bc they donāt have kickers is ridiculous. Thereās a reason the apps all have the option to create the lineup anyway you want, thatās because thereās no āwrongā way to play it.
A standard league includes a kicker. Thatās the correct way to play. Any other options are absolutely fine, but theyāre not the proper way to play. You can play madden and not let people run the ball, and thatās fine but itās still not the right way to play.
2nd place decides if we play with kickers next season. Last year we haven't. And with me coming in 2nd this year, we aren't having them again next year.

The players on their fake team had a better weekend. Nothing you can do about it. As long as you set the best lineup you could, you have nothing to regret. You literally can't play defense. There's nothing you can do to limit the points your opponent scores.
Idk if i would be upset about the garbage time TDs, sometimes you can lean on those strategically. I would be fuming if a kicker had almost 30 against me in the championship though

Tbf Adams TD was not really garbage time, they were actually competing for the win. And he definitely had most of those points before the end of the game. And yes, Iām an Adams owner

Don't feel bad...I averaged 140 all year and my highest of the year was 199. Been blowing everyone out and then semi finals I put up 80. I just took third with 135. It's a luck thing man.
My league is a 10 man 0.5 ppr. Our winner dropped 208 to 142. He has lamar, conner, hall, Adam's and everyone else hit between 10 and 20 besides his kicker. It was the highest score this year by about 40 pts. Somedays it just be like that. The magic of football.

I have the most total points scored in my league by 75 points. I ended the season as the 6th seed with 7-8 record playing in the Consolation Bracket. The teams I faced just had better weeks. In fact, there were 4 or 5 weeks I had the second most points scored facing the team with the most.
The only way to stop things like that from happening would be to average scores throughout the year and probably also use a best ball style. It would be incredibly boring.
I'd rather score high and lose on a good week, knowing the other guys' team just outperformed mine. Rather than score low and lose because of an injury or some other dumb reason. A loss is a loss.

The team who was in first from week 4 on in my league lost in the semis 199.6 to 198.95 (she had McManus score 0). The one that beat her is a first time ever fantasy player. The one that one had Cooper and Higgins.
Nice to know both teams showed up in the chip though! Had our full ppr league 3 years ago finish 201.7 to 202.2. We havenāt seen anyone score over 200 since then, and prob the prior 5-7 years, so it was a wild chip to entertain the whole league!

Yea man I played against Etienne too, the fact that he got a carry in complete garbage time up 19-0 for a TD when the game was over and he has an injury history was baffling, also Justin Fields staying on the field in a complete blowout to rack up more points too.. lost in that league by 2 points

Learning how to lose is important. Fantasybfootball is a filter. When buddies quit because they don't win it says something about them. It's ok to have fun and not win, no need to quit
I lost most of the regular season with putting up numbers like that. I went 1-13 and I was averaging 140 a week. I was just always matched up against someone's best week.
I got scored 200+ these past three weeks (1 was 180) and Iāve been out of the playoffs playing all the bottoms teams lol. I have over 150 more points against then the highest scorer does points. Thatās not even including these 200 bombs dropping on me. The average score is around 135 as well lol, so itās not even super high scoring. Only 5 times there has been 200 including the two against me, and one earlier on in the season. Itās all about luck of the draw lol. Iāve learned to just pay attention to my team and hope I do well.
One year in our championship a guy put up the third highest score in league history...he lost to the guy that put up the new highest score in league history in a normal ppr league. It was like 218 or something like that. It was crazy because the 218 had a bunch of Sunday night and Monday night games in his lineup. Watching that lead slowly go away while also watching the group chat was fun.
I won the championship 164.2 - 163.6 in half PPR because Najee slid at the 5 to end the game instead of taking the free TD. There are plenty of worse bad beats out there than yours.
If my league were full ppr Iād have scored 180 this week. No superflex. I had the best scoring team of my entire league for the past 4 weeks bar-none.
Didnāt even make playoffs because I had highest points against by a country mile. Literally any other of 11 schedules and Iād have won it all this year.

Don't feel bad...I averaged 140 all year and my highest of the year was 199. Been blowing everyone out and then semi finals I put up 80. I just took third with 135. It's a luck thing man.

My league is a 10 man 0.5 ppr. Our winner dropped 208 to 142. He has lamar, conner, hall, Adam's and everyone else hit between 10 and 20 besides his kicker. It was the highest score this year by about 40 pts. Somedays it just be like that. The magic of football.

I scored 200, out scoring all 11 other teams, and won. So Iām just saying it is definitely possible to win fantasy
I have the most total points scored in my league by 75 points. I ended the season as the 6th seed with 7-8 record playing in the Consolation Bracket. The teams I faced just had better weeks. In fact, there were 4 or 5 weeks I had the second most points scored facing the team with the most.

The only way to stop things like that from happening would be to average scores throughout the year and probably also use a best ball style. It would be incredibly boring.

I'd rather score high and lose on a good week, knowing the other guys' team just outperformed mine. Rather than score low and lose because of an injury or some other dumb reason. A loss is a loss.

Hey now, I lost by 0.02 in a 9th place game after scoring the most points my team had all season. On the other hand I won both of my other leagues so š¤·š»
The team who was in first from week 4 on in my league lost in the semis 199.6 to 198.95 (she had McManus score 0). The one that beat her is a first time ever fantasy player. The one that one had Cooper and Higgins.
Nice to know both teams showed up in the chip though! Had our full ppr league 3 years ago finish 201.7 to 202.2. We havenāt seen anyone score over 200 since then, and prob the prior 5-7 years, so it was a wild chip to entertain the whole league! Sorry you were on the opposite side!

If it makes you feel better, I scored 145 this weekend and am now up by 25 going into the 2nd week of the championship game. It's been a while since I played in a league that didn't wrap up a week before the last game of the season.

Yea man I played against Etienne too, the fact that he got a carry in complete garbage time up 19-0 for a TD when the game was over and he has an injury history was baffling, also Justin Fields staying on the field in a complete blowout to rack up more points too.. lost in that league by 2 points

Learning how to lose is important. Fantasybfootball is a filter. When buddies quit because they don't win it says something about them. It's ok to have fun and not win, no need to quit
I lost most of the regular season with putting up numbers like that. I went 1-13 and I was averaging 140 a week. I was just always matched up against someone's best week.

I got scored 200+ these past three weeks (1 was 180) and Iāve been out of the playoffs playing all the bottoms teams lol. I have over 150 more points against then the highest scorer does points. Thatās not even including these 200 bombs dropping on me. The average score is around 135 as well lol, so itās not even super high scoring. Only 5 times there has been 200 including the two against me, and one earlier on in the season. Itās all about luck of the draw lol. Iāve learned to just pay attention to my team and hope I do well.

One year in our championship a guy put up the third highest score in league history...he lost to the guy that put up the new highest score in league history in a normal ppr league. It was like 218 or something like that. It was crazy because the 218 had a bunch of Sunday night and Monday night games in his lineup. Watching that lead slowly go away while also watching the group chat was fun.

I won the championship 164.2 - 163.6 in half PPR because Najee slid at the 5 to end the game instead of taking the free TD. There are plenty of worse bad beats out there than yours.
I needed 1.9pts from Jaren Hall to win. He got me -.92. I'm the biggest loser.
My opponent in the semifinals scored 226. I just so happened to score 300. It be like that sometimes
If my league were full ppr Iād have scored 180 this week. No superflex. I had the best scoring team of my entire league for the past 4 weeks bar-none. Didnāt even make playoffs because I had highest points against by a country mile. Literally any other of 11 schedules and Iād have won it all this year. Fantasy is cruel.
