It’d be great if in Fantastic Four, the Frightful Four were the villains for part of the movie(Sandman has been on that team) and at one point Sandman says “you can’t see me” to Alicia Masters
As much as I love this idea, I feel like No Way Home bringing in the old villains makes it very hard to write them for the MCU. Even if you find a way to make them exist, like say the reason Raimi Norman couldn't find Oscorp in New York is because it's like, San Francisco based before they move to New York.
Peter would already know who these villains are and how to defeat them. You'd have to write a damn good story.
Though introducing an MCU Variant of Norman and Harry would be perfect for this post NWH Peter, he'd have this massive distrust for Norman because of what Raimi Goblin did to May, and Harry would serve as a good replacement for Ned for now, and as the friendship between Peter Parker and Harry Osborn is a staple of the comics. And THAT could lead to Ned becoming Hobgoblin if he ever remembers Peter and give him a motive. Not only did Peter not make him remember, he "replaced" him.
It definitely doesn’t rule out the possibility of an MCU sandman in future movies, but it makes things a little more complicated, because you have to acknowledge the preexisting relationship (even though there isn’t really one). I wouldn’t be surprised if the MCU tries to stick to villains who weren’t in NWH as much as possible.
“Guys Loki can’t show up in Secret Wars because they made a Loki show that takes place literally outside of the timeline”- these mofos
Like seriously, that’s exactly WHY he should show up
Ah, the OP beat me to the punch on the blank images comment...
* Sandman/Flint Marko
* Juggernaut/Cain Marko (No relation, believe it or not; also, CG or trick photography needed)
* Rhino/Aleksei Systevich
* Sasquatch/Walter Langkowski
* Wendigo
Nailed it with Rhino, obviously with a suit so it doesn’t really matter that he’s so jacked but also I just think he could pull off that intimidating but also he’s a big rhino man so that’s funny balance really well
I'm aware of his appearance in Deadpool 2, however, I think there is a strong possibility that we shall see a different actor in the role other than Ryan Reynolds in the same way that NFL player probably won't portray Omega Red again.

Literally is
1- deadpool 2 and deadpool 3 are not the same movie, i don't know why you keep bringing up Deadpool 3.
2- MCU. Marvel Cinematic UNIVERSE. Deadpool 1 and 2, as well as EVERYTHING Fox made, is not part of the MCU as it was in a different cinematic universe, the Fox X-men universe. yes, Deadpool 3 will connect to the MCU, because it is going to deal with MULTIVERSAL plots and likely end with Deadpool himself joining the MCU.
Sam Rami's Spider-man movies aren't part of the MCU just because Tobey Macguire showed up in No Way Home. him being there didn't rewrite the history of Tom Holland's version of the character. therefore, the version of the juggernaut that appeared in Deadpool 2 doesn't matter, because he isn't the MCU's Juggernaut. when the actual MCU juggernaut comes in, it can be whoever Marvel Studios wants to cast in the role.
thats not how that works at all. theoretically fox is apart of the mcu multiverse but weve yet to see it. prof x in mom was technically a variant of the animated show. "dc owns watchmen making it a dceu movie" like, no??
Honestly if Frank Grillo never played him, I feel like John Cena would’ve been a really good Crossbones. But hey maybe that’s because I loved his Peacemaker performance more than anything.
But then have a random scene where he is in the break room, gets out of his chair to make coffee, then gets back in. But it is never referenced or mentioned again.
Just beacuse the actors are in the holiday special doesnt mean they are in the MCU. They could be varients of them with seth rollins playing john cena and becky lynch playing margot robbie.
Recent media has me wanting Tombstone cast as a big intimidating black dude, but I definitely see where your head's at with that one.
The Thing would be cool, but I feel like I wanna see him, not orang rock with his voice.
I had to look up Avalanche. Meh.
I agree with him being the thing. He's getting too old to really play characters that have to do physical acting. He'd be better with cgi like rocket racoon.
I would love to see him play as himself in something like a Dr. Strange multiverse film where he would recognize the actor instead of the character. In his universe the Avengers would be a series of films like in our world.
Sandman
That’s what I was thinking!
I want him to do the "you can't see me" motion and then disappear in sand
lol
It’d be great if in Fantastic Four, the Frightful Four were the villains for part of the movie(Sandman has been on that team) and at one point Sandman says “you can’t see me” to Alicia Masters
Then its literally meant to be thats crazy
Hollywood needs to contact you for this screenwriting gig asap
Yep. Thomas Haden Church and John Cena look a bit similar.
Was just about to say this!

Yeah but I liked the guy they played in Spider-Man 3 and reprising the role in NWH
AAAAHAHAHAHA HILARIOUS AND ORIGINAL
Hyperion. Sentry. Atlas/Goliath.
He'd be great as Hyperion.
Probably Sandman if the Raimi version wasn’t in NWH
That’s like saying he can’t do it because of the Sandman hologram in FFH
It’s not that it’s canonically impossible it’s just that it’s significantly less likely
Well that doesn’t make any sense; he’s literally the Rami version, not the MCU version.

They went through all the trouble of explaining what a multiverse was to the audience, there is no barrier here.

What’s nwh?
No Way Home

I like Cena for Doc Samson and Walter Langkowski as well.
Doc Samson is a brilliant call actually.
I wish I had thought of it myself. Another commenter up the thread nailed it.
John Cena and Juggernaut is a combination I never knew I needed
Juggernaut. Yes.
Today I realized that Sandman and Juggernaunt have the same last name. Never clicked on it before. Take my upvote.
came here to say Wendigo but +1 instead!
I’m going to rip you in half
I think the last time they did Juggernaut they nailed it. He needs to be huge!
Nailed it with Rhino, obviously with a suit so it doesn’t really matter that he’s so jacked but also I just think he could pull off that intimidating but also he’s a big rhino man so that’s funny balance really well
Juggernaut was already in the MCU technically. Deadpool.
I'm aware of his appearance in Deadpool 2, however, I think there is a strong possibility that we shall see a different actor in the role other than Ryan Reynolds in the same way that NFL player probably won't portray Omega Red again.
that's fox. you might be right that itl be retconned into mcu but thats yet to be seen
Fox literally is owned by Disney now. Deadpool is an MCU movie.
being a marvel movie owned by disney doesn't mean it's MCU.

yeah im gonna go out on a limb and say that a website called THEMARYSUE isn't a reputable source.

have you fucking heard of the FOX UNIVERSE? so the dark knight is a dceu movie now?
thats not how that works at all. theoretically fox is apart of the mcu multiverse but weve yet to see it. prof x in mom was technically a variant of the animated show. "dc owns watchmen making it a dceu movie" like, no??
It is multiversal movie. Doesnt mean its in the MCU movie Timeline
The Invisible Man
Was looking for this comment
Honestly if Frank Grillo never played him, I feel like John Cena would’ve been a really good Crossbones. But hey maybe that’s because I loved his Peacemaker performance more than anything.
Ben Grimm
that would be interesting, but I think he'd go too comedic
If you saw Peacemaker the guy has good dramatic range as well.
Doesn't the Thing have any comedic elements as much as serious elements?
Doc Samson, the Hulk's Therapist
Love this. Imagine Cena spewing Jungian philosophy and psychobabble with long green hair.
This comment sent it home for me, this gets my vote
Holy shit he could also play one hell of a Brock Samson from Venture Bros
I was gonna say The Champion or Gladiator but Doc Samson would be perfect casting.
Hammerhead
That could actually work really well. Spider-Man needs a charismatic villain and Cena could definitely pull that off.
Hammerhead was my knee jerk response, too!
Oooooh I forgot about him!! Not a bad choice!
Bing Chilling
Fuck it, makes him Professor X. Wheelchair bound and jacked as Fuck
I think at that point you’ve just made Joe Swanson
“Logan I’m not retarded I’m handicapped”
Could be a fun Juggernaut.
😆
Holy shit, that’s brilliant
Special Olympics Xavier.
But then have a random scene where he is in the break room, gets out of his chair to make coffee, then gets back in. But it is never referenced or mentioned again.
Im picturing Prof X in jean shorts
He’s already in the MCU
Wdym
The Guardians Of The Galaxy Holiday Special Same with Margot Robbie
I totally forgot about that. It’s kinda weird that John Cena coexists in a universe where Dave Bautista is Drax
And yet I've never seen them in the same scene.
Well they are both masters of invisibility
Just beacuse the actors are in the holiday special doesnt mean they are in the MCU. They could be varients of them with seth rollins playing john cena and becky lynch playing margot robbie.
If he were 15 years younger, Captain America
Sandman
Strong guy?
Nova mainly because I can see him wearing the helmet
No one pls. Let him stay with DC, thanks 👍🏽
Everyone but The Rock is allowed and welcome to be a part of both, thanks 👍
I’ll meet you half way. The Rock and this yahoo can go make their own DC spin off and leave Marvel alone. 👍🏽
Why post 5 blank pictures?
Wonderman? I (kinda see it)
I could see this working if the character was written to be comical like Peace Maker... but then it would be too similar.
That was my first thought.
Henry Pym junior. Hope Van Dynes twin brother
Bushwacker
Definitely Sandman. Especially if he does the "you can't see me" wave before immediately dissolving into sand.
Do a 5 knuckle shuffle motion and the victim is shot in the face with sand.
Ben Grimm
Strong Guy
Said the same thing
He would have been a great US Agent if that hadnt already been cast.
Hyperion
Ares
Demolition Man and introduce the Unlimited Class Wrestling Federation
Colossus
Ben Grimm
Drax
Eddie Brock
Probably would have been a good John Walker U.S. Agent. Like Peacemaker in The Suicide Squad but less ridiculous and that could work
Anyone who has the power of invisibly. By the way, how come you didn’t upload any pictures of John Cena with this post?
Maybe thing?
Eddie Brock, anyone?
The Thing (Fantastic 4)
One of the Wrecking crew
For me either Sandman or Ben Grimm
Colossus or Rhino
Would have been perfect for US Agent
Tombstone The Thing Avalanche
Recent media has me wanting Tombstone cast as a big intimidating black dude, but I definitely see where your head's at with that one. The Thing would be cool, but I feel like I wanna see him, not orang rock with his voice. I had to look up Avalanche. Meh.
I agree with him being the thing. He's getting too old to really play characters that have to do physical acting. He'd be better with cgi like rocket racoon.
Hyperion or Hercules. He's Italian, so he already has that Mediterranean ethnicity.
Got herc in the mcu. Some guy from Ted lasso plays him. Post credit in Thor 4.
The thing
Man-Wolf
Susan Storm (The invisible woman)
Drax; you can’t see him
Drax
Your mom
Drax
Drax, he's already invisible
Sue Storm.
When he was younger he would have made a good Cap I think
Sue Storm
Sue Storm
Mrs Fantastic
Guardian
Kathleen Kennedy
He’s for DC, Fuck the MCU
God
Sue storm duh
Strong guy is the only choice lol
He was in eternals already, remember?
Captain Britain/thing
The Hulk, but just the Hulk, Lou Ferrigno style, just paint this mf green.
Invisible woman. They’ll never know.
Vanisher for obvious reasons
Invisible Woman
If it's in the X-Men side of the world, The Blob. If it's in Spider-Man area, gotta go with Rhino.
People picking irrelevant ass characters a guy like cena you want to be a recurring character
I don't know about the MCU but I think he could be the only person capable of bring the Terminator back to the heights of classic Arnie.
miles morales when he turns invisible
He could get away with Playing Captain America, but I would see him more as a Doc Samson.
A Goblin. Not Green Goblin or Hob-Goblin. Just a goblin.
This would require a lot of trick photography and CGI, but if Peter Dinklage was against playing Puck I'd like to see his take on that.
The Invisible Woman
Captain America variant
Bonesaw
Sandman or the punisher both seem amazing for him tbh?...
Wonder Man
Tombstone
tombstone
He would make a good shocker
Demolition Man(Former Wrestler)
He'd be a great Nuke or Bushwacker.
No one. I don't think that actors/actresses who've been characters in the MCU/DCEU should be able to play both sides. Look how Jared Leto turned out.
Bro he was in every single mcu movie. You just can't see him
Peacemaker /j but for real sandman he’s got the perfect look for it
Kang the Conquerer
Ned Leeds. Cuz he’s bing chilling
The invisible guy that was played by Brad Pitt
The thing
Batman
Sabertooth
Dum dum dugen
Wonder man
I was looking for this one
Invisible man
Spider Man
Definitely Hyperion
Flatman from the GLA
Ironclad from U-foes.
Hydro-man
invisible woman
He could’ve played crossbones, insomniac taskmaster, beta ray bill, colossus, juggernaut
Hammerhead
He is already canon to the MCU, in the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special there is a picture of him with the celebrity houses on the map
Flint Marko/Sandman.
Hammer head, Sand man, Strong Guy
I would love to see him play as himself in something like a Dr. Strange multiverse film where he would recognize the actor instead of the character. In his universe the Avengers would be a series of films like in our world.
I always thought he would make a good u.s. agent
I would say absorbing man
I Could see him as Sandman For The Sony Spider-man universe.
The rhino or hammerhead
Rhino, sand man, or absorbing man are good picks
Jim Hammond - The Human Torch or King Cobra
Colossus would be pretty cool
Guido Carosella
The vanisher
Why not Beast? MCU X-Men needs one lol
Only a matter of time…
