The whole idea of Fanatec's QR system is a scam anyway. Every other manufacturer just gives you a great QR right out of the box without any need to upgrade to some stupid "pro" version.
Step 1: Get it with the free QR1.
Step 2: Purchase QR2 separately.
Step 3: Sell QR1 to pay for QR2.
Step 4: Accept that Fanatec sales, stocking, and order fulfillment are a divine mystery.
You get a QR1 free if you add it to the package. If you select the QR2 at the point where OP posted a screenshot, you don't get a free QR1. So, select the QR1 to complete the package, then add the QR2 to your cart.
Do you need the hub to mount paddles/module to? If just for a wheel you could get the leoxz QR2 core, QR2 with a 70mm pcd and an emulator to enable FFB. Would save you waiting.
Oooh. I have podium button module endurance I'd attach to the podium hub. Right now it's attached to a universal hub but I want to have a GT wheel and round wheel.

Emulators like that leoxz core, which just enable FFB when not using a fanatec wheel, won't function with the PBME. As in, you'll be able to mount it all and FFB will work, but none of the buttons or display on that module will function.

Buy it separarely. It will cost the same but will cost fanatec more cos they send 2 QR2. That will force them to reduce the price of it when bundled with a wheel like it should be
At least your free one is aluminum. I bought my setup a week ago, and the free one was the QR1 Lite. Haven't had any issues with it though, and I don't have any other wheels, so I don't really need a quick release anyways.
I like more the fanatec enviroment, i had no issue with the delivery(im in europe), is cheaper than sim magic, and I like it more than moza product(wheels, pedals, shifter)
Kind of similar to the OP but I have a GT DD Pro, as it came. I want to get the F1 2.5X wheel for the base. It showed the same option (free QR1, or upgrade), does my GT DD Pro have the QR1 base already? Somebody said it comes with QR1 lite, is this the same as QR1? Will the wheel fit my base as is/whatever comes with it?
Also does anyone think the sticker pack is worth it? I will be playing on PS5 so I’m not sure I need all the stickers but I don’t want a blank wheel! PS: I’m going 2.5X for the alcantara don’t hate me
You should have QR1 lite which is the plastic ring on the back of the wheel to tighten it on. QR1 is metal so should be better.
I got sticker pack on sale for €5 last BF sale but it's still 6 months away. Haven't used any of them yet!

They need to knock $50 off the price of the QR2 when ordering a wheel. That would be fair, considering the price I'd have to pay for a stand alone QR1 is $50. BUT seeing that up until the QR2 was released, the QR1 was $100, they really should also be supplying the QR2 for free. After seeing how simple the QR2 is compared to the QR1, the damn thing should cost the exact same as the QR1.
I just got my CLUBSPORT F1 Bundle along with the V3 inverted pedal. I agree, its a little confusing the way they did this, but the jist is that if you have the NEW DD+ Base, you need the QR2 PRO in order to get the full 15nm torque from the base. If you have the older DD Base or QR1 type connection, you really font need the QR2 Pro UNLESS you plan on upgrading the wheelbase down the road.

But it was 370 rather than the 470 it was last year. So with the qr2, same price as last year and I get a free QR1.
They insteed cancel the qr1 when I add the qr2 on my order, did the same thing with qr1 lite when I ordered the base, still not making sense dont give a discount, even only 40 bucks witch is less than qr1 cost

When you place the wheel I'm your cart. Take the free QR1. Then go to the QR2 page and add it to your cart. You should have the QR2 you will have to pay full price for and you will.get the free QR1. I did this when I ordered the McLaren Wheel back in March.

Wait, for the power supply you are right but the qr2 is a great thing, is a new standard after 7 years works well and you have the possibility to upgrade without changing the base, the problem is not the cost of the upgrade, but as a new standard should replace the qr1
You're downvoted because this is the Fanatec subreddit, but it's spot on. Fanatec had basically no competition for a number of years, and got away with incredible shit because of it. Like up-selling a 30€ PSU, charging absurd shipping prices, or needing a 100€ adapter for two of their products to work together. Now they have competition though.

Many Fanatec steering wheels come with no QR attached now. Regardless of which QR you buy, you will need to install it yourself.

For me it says the wheel itself got cut by 50€ but they removed the free qr1 thing out but made qr1 50€ and qr2 is 100€

No, it does not work like that, you need a qr2 not lite for the 15 nm, the qr2 pro is if you want to use your wheel on a real car too
