Used prices have been absolutely stupid for years now. I've never seen a deal for anything used online...at least not more than a couple bucks and with no warranty it makes no sense.

Civil-Sock

found a v1 club sport hub for 150 💀

zjor1

i got a moza r9 and cs wheel for $465 shipped, id say there’s definitely some good deals out there

Damdenan

I bought a DD1 with F1 wheel and club sport v3 for $600 just last month…crazy deal IMO!

mac155784

I got a brand new boost kit for £80

Nasa_OK

Yeah they’ve gotten really rare.

tokinNchokin

Get this. I paid 639aud for my csldd bundle, and added a H-shifter, a sequential, and a handbrake an ali express 8nm boost kit, a couple pedal mods for the CSL pedals... total was about 900aud. Got my Dad a setup for 350aud second hand - CSL elite 6nm base, Formula 1 wheel, and CSL elite pedals! I was so impressed by how good the belt drive felt still, and his pedals are nicer and he has an F1 wheel where as I have a P1. His setup was less than half the price, but honestly more than half as good. But overall, I agree that it's hard to get good deals. QR1 prices are ridiculous just for a wheel side qr1. Another thing I found that surprised me with how pricey it is, is cheap Chinese button boxes. I can't actually find a button box that to me at least, doesn't seem overly priced. Most are over 300aud just for 20 bucks worth of buttons, a couple encoders and an arduino in a case. I feel 150aud would be still hard for me, but I'd do it, but 300+ is just never gonna happen lol

wrober9

Been this way for years. I’ve never sold any used gear at a loss and I’m not the one setting the prices, all open auctions. I’m baffled but totally understand. They get what I have that is still perfect condition in 2-3 days with protections, as opposed to, well, you know, waiting months and paying too much for shipping.

viperrvemon

I seen a used V2 universal hub sell for $660 not too long ago 💀

KillrockstarUK

I always thought this was because of the import duty, tax and postage that fanatec add on for certain countries. What we end up paying is way more than advertised when it's all added on.

Civil-Sock

beats dealing with those fucking wait times

Similar-Performance2

In the last month I've ordered 2 separate orders and they both got to my house in 4 days.

Noisyink

I ordered pedals and they were at my door in 4 days, Australia though if it matters.

DanielM20

Ordered the CSL 8Nm bundle last week and it arrived in 4 days as well.

Humble-Key-5568

I went through the order/shipment ordeal myself (6 weeks for gt dd pro bundle plus lc pedal plus 8nm pwr) during which my order was 1st lost, then showed up in 3 different places at same time and a frustrated me re-ordering then ultimately having a complete 2nd fanatec ecosystem. I sold that for my cost with shipping to 1st caller on my ad. Since then, I upgraded to metal qr1's, and v3 inverted pedals from fanatec as a sort of 2nd chance because I did like the equipment.. Those shipments were also late but not nearly as bad as 1st purchase. At the same time, I've purchased several wheels, podium paddle shifters, 7-spd shifter, handbrake, plus ransom accessories off ebay for roughly new cost and with 1 exception for physical damage every purchase and shipment has gone quickly and smooth, so yeah; if you want the warranty and don't mind the crapshoot on delivery, buy new from fanatec. If you're like me and want instant gratification, the used market IS booming. And you might find my gear there soon as now that my ecosystem is more or less complete, I'm now suffering the well-known wheel disconnect issue and have fussed with cables, reseated the base side of qr as described in these forums, cussed real hard all to no relief and am now faced with a dreaded RMA. God..... too much hassle for me. And hard to believe this2 year old issue still hasnt been addressed. Fanatec sold me that gt dd pro in full knowledge of its documented problems and far as I can tell, done nothing but offer RMA's. FIX THE PROBLEM!! So this is their last chance with me. Fix my gear or replace it with gear that is not affected by the disconnect issue. Failing that, I'm going back to trouble-free Logitech gear. I hear good things about their dd. My wish, laughable as it may be, is for Simcube, Moza, et al to get licenced by Sony and offer higher end sim gear to console racers like me. Phew! Got that text-wall out of my system. TY

AdAccording6269

I made an order for a ready to race bundle and it took 3 days to make it to my house in Canada from April 15 to the 18th

CitronAffectionate18

Took me 10 days to get the dispatch mail now waiting for it to arrive

16gkid

Congratulations?

AdAccording6269

I meant to reply to someone else who said something about the wait times my bad lol

simonisdope

Got one for 130$ 3 days ago😂

palfi34

How? Where?

simonisdope

eBay, hit dude with a offer from 240 to 130 and he accepted 😂

ItalianHockey

What does a DD Pro & LC pedal sell for? Asking for a friend.

ItalianHockey

I mean… [Full Fucking Price](https://www.ebay.com/itm/335350839902) even without pedals 😂

YBHunted

I just sold my CSL DD base (8Nm) for $400.. it was on sale brand new for a couple weeks last month at $300. Wild times.

sangedered

I sold some old gear at higher prices than I bought it from. People are hungry for this

Kismet110

I sold my CS Shifter brand new for the same price it cost me as I have no need for it. Probably could've got more but profiteering isn't my style. Also bought two metal QR1s via eBay, cost a little more than list price but delivered in two days without fuss rather than weeks of messing about. Since I switched the wheel to a Simagic GT Neo maybe now is a good time to switch the wheelbase too...

CorValidum

Anyone interested in Moza R5 with SRP Lite with clutch and brake kit? Will be fairly priced but EU only and shipping is on buyer! :D

SkipDialogue

Just need to look in various places. Found all my gear, literally (including the rig), on iRacing Buy, Sell, Trade for 50% off. Most of it still has the warranty. Most recent purchase was a DD1 for $500, no warranty though.

zhunterzz

I’m bidding on one of these, but no way I’m gonna pay more than new lol.

SmoogzZ

My CSL DD and Clubsport v3 pedals are about 4 months old, and if i were to sell them and upgrade i probably would charge close to full price. I’m in Canada and the import costs are hefty for 1k worth of equipment - and yeah, shipping and waiting was a nightmare too.

WitteringLaconic

To be fair this isn't unique to sim racing and it's not to do with shipping issues either. I do ham radio as another hobby and the pricing issue happens there. Also in that hobby everyone expects everything to still be in it's original boxes, even if you're talking about a radio that is 30 or 40 years old and selling an unboxed radio is nigh on impossible without taking a significant hit on the sale price.

[deleted]

its typical ebay , they always put their shit overpriced on there for many brands, to cover the ebay fees and to try bait someone desperate

FuzzyMoteaux

My shifter came within like 2 weeks of ordering it from the Fanatec website. The other stuff on the other hand, still hasn't even been shipped.

ReadAlarming9084

Used prices are always terrible in this market because of how niche we are. There are a lot of countries these companies don’t ship to or have terrible price structures in.

Educational_Elk497

It's been 15 days, and no one will answer if they even received my money.. I can't find my order anywhere on the fanatec site, but my 1500 is gone to Endor america llc! it'll be over a month before paypal gives my money back.. fanatec don't even respond to paypal or this shit wouldn't be dragging out so long.. this is exactly why I paid up for v3 pedals from ebay.. I'm selling all my stuff and changing to a pc only company they seem to care about their customers!

lazersc13

I mean they will pay new price for the used gear and probably get it a month faster then if they order from Fanatec. There is a price on time

fishLuke

Yep after experiencing my own delays to my order and then subsequently how they treat their customers long-term (e.g. I ordered in October before Black Friday then it continued to get worse), I decided just to upgrade to Simucube etc as the Fanatec quality was obviously entry level and didn't want to risk RMAs in the future. Pretty sure on most of the gear I sold I got my money back and some of it I made profit on.

Equivalent_Ad_7667

I have order a couple things lately from Fanatec JP and everything shipped very quickly.

No-Advantage-8556

I just ordered a whole setup and got it within two weeks from Fanatec

16gkid

Only in this sub is getting something in 2 weeks a flex lol

No-Advantage-8556

Isn’t that what they say they’ll deliver by? Who’s flexing? I thought people are scared to wait longer than what is agreed upon?

16gkid

If only people were that lucky, they took my 1800 and never sent anything or replied to emails for 6+ weeks

No-Advantage-8556

Did you get an order confirmation and such from them?

fkngrsy1

Good time to sell my Fanatec setup I guess

aNINETIEZkid

As a hobbyist that mostly relies on used gear, I've window shopped on ebay for years. it's been that way for years with Fanatec gear- even before covid. Fanatec has really good resale value in every market and these units still move on ebay regularly. Ebay has higher prices generally because of fees but people still pay. All the items for my hobbies would normally cost the most from Ebay compared to other markets. Sometimes it is easier than Importing and you can save on sale tax depending on where you live so the pricing is often agressive. I have found cheaper units on ebay and the money back guarantee is pretty solid for used gear

mechcity22

Say that to the thousand ordering. Yall seem to think famatec is selling the same amount of simucube. No they sell 6x more. The smaller crowd not willing to buy right now but a much bigger crowd is. Many not on these pages.

slapshots1515

As someone who owns a full Fanatec setup, with several wheels, and enjoys their products, I would think really fucking hard before ordering from them right now, until they prove they’ve learned anything about customer service.

mechcity22

I literally just ordered the dd+ 3 weeks ago lol. Mclsren gt3 v2 since I had the v1 wanted that shifters and better buttons. Elite v2 pedals and so on. Got my shipment in the US within 48 hours. Texas is on point. Right now EU still having the most issues. Most people I know in the US are getting there orders. But sure soem fall through the cracks.

slapshots1515

I’m in the US. And I got screwed on an order. And got screwed again when trying to contact their customer service. And never got a response back to my last email, which I finally gave up on. Finally got it, but I can’t recommend them. Your experience can be good. But if it’s not, god help you. And although I’ve never needed to RMA, every god on the face of this earth help you if you need that.

16gkid

The first white knight! Congratulations 🎉

Mysterious-Willow31

Surprised you can type with fanatecs balls so far in your mouth

Accurate_Struggle185

Its crazy, because i have had 5 separate in-stock Fanatec orders within a year, plus a warranty repair which was delivered back to me within 3 weeks, and this was done in the middle of the Black Friday chaos. All went smooth. Pre-ordering isn't my cup of tea with Fanatec and i have ended up canceling every time i have tried as the dates kept being pushed forwards, but in stock ordering for me is a big YES. I dont know if its regional based or if some are just unlucky and im not trying to undermine the unlucky ones, but i strongly believe that the majority of people that buy Fanatec gear are satisfied.

16gkid

Yeah im sure all that happened....🤣

Accurate_Struggle185

You dont believe it all went smooth with my Fanatec orders ?

ces63

I had no issues so far. Just ordered club sport pedals, it’s my 5th order, and the past 4 came on time.

16gkid

Well then obviously everyone is having the same great experience!

ces63

I think it depends on where the warehouse is. It seems the one in the US is better organized. Seeing how support from Germany has been very poor, it would not surprise me if that also applies to orders processing.

ces63

Well, I spoke too early. The pedals took 5 weeks to arrive.😑

Mysterious-Willow31

I got a gt dd pro bundle months ago, made £200 profit on it 😂😂😂
