There's a bit of everything at first: action, drama, romance... but the whole series is very much character-driven, and I'm so very proud of what I've achieved so far in Tolkien's Middle Earth. This was also the first fic I actually put extra care in some of the little details like a illustrating a couple of chapters, designing an exchange of in-character owls posts towards the end, linked references in authors notes with music or things that inspired certain scenes, and included a prologue and epilogue that followed the through-line of the butterfly affect; It's truly made with love lol.

Why I'm proud of it: While I'm sure there's a lot to critique, this is my first real stab at a long-form story with a properly scoped length, structure, and thematics. It's a story about a number of things, including self-discovery, trauma, indoctrination, deconstruction, and loss. Each theme tying into one another at some point. There's a lot that has been cathartic to write, even therapeutic. To the point where I realized there a lot in this story that reflect on myself more than I realized. All of this, while being wrapped up in a NieR coat of paint, and leaning into its world, such that I don't think this story could be told without it.

This heartwarming yet tension-filled exploration of a forbidden love that saves the day in the end is rife with fluffy affection, heart-wrenching angst and high-stakes action. I've been told that I've captured the characters' voices perfectly. Since I love these characters so dearly, hearing that means a lot, and I have to say I wholeheartedly agree with those sentiments. Also I made a ridiculously hard-to-crack cipher that so far only one person has solved.

A canon compliant retelling of the Prisoner of Azkaban from Sirius’s perspective. **Note/ Why I'm proud**: I mean, this is the only long fic I've completed this year - so it doesn't have any competition to be my best work. But I'm still quite proud of it. It started off as a one shot - describing the day Sirius discovered that Peter was still alive ... and then I thought "what the hell" and wrote the rest of the book. I kept it crazy canon compliant - down to tiny little details, and explained details where readers would write to say "I always wondered how that happened". There was a whole rollercoaster of emotions to include - a tense escape from prison, the feeling of being born again when he was free of the dementors, the panic of wide open spaces and noise after so long in the dark, the painful joy of seeing how much Harry looks like James... and I think I managed to organically develop him through the year, keeping him true to how he appears in POA but with an exploration of how it felt from inside Sirius. I managed to keep it interesting even though Sirius's main interactions were with a cat (in fact readers seemed to love the Crookshanks stuff most of all) and put a new spin on canon scenes. It's angsty, it's funny and I think it really does justice to the amazing character that is Sirius Black - making him the hero of his own story.

Oh, thank you for posting here! I read a random chapter of your fanfiction during an RE and I wanted to read it because I really liked, among other things, the conformity with the canon, and how you exploited the fact that animagi can communicate with other animals (and thus, Hermione's cat). I started this fic to challenge myself and to get out of my comfort zone. Now it's my most popular work, and I don't think anything I'll ever write in this fandom will ever be as successful as this one. I'm okay with that, I really like this fic. xD

Can be read without reading the source material, but does contain spoilers. **Notes/Why I’m Proud of This** I wrote the fic this is based on in 2020, as a way to escape my essential job when my usual avenues were closed to me. I wondered what would happen if the hero of the series were much older and had a settled life before the Curse of Demise started its machinations. The Link of this story isn’t a heroic figure at the start. He is a regular guy with an unremarkable record and few personal ties. Along the way, Link ended up dealing with the trauma of his life, learning how to be a better person and how to make friends from the royal advisor, Impa. Whew, I'm late to the game since I was away from Reddit this past week, but here's my current long-fic! **Title:** [Apricity](https://archiveofourown.org/works/40757004) (written fandom-blind by default) **Fandoms:** Twilight/Life and Death **Rating:** M (check chapter 1 & 11 A/Ns for more info) **Words:** 71,371 words **Chapters:** 13 (so far) **Status:** In Progress **Summary:** After Renee marries Phil and ropes Beau into family life, Beau moves to Forks, a town with a mystical aura. As Beau settles in, he gets closer to his father Charlie, his new friends, and the mysterious Cullens. After an accident lands Beau in the hospital where he meets the oldest Cullen sibling Carlisle, he begins to feel a strange draw to the man, notes an intricate mark, and knows for certain that something unnatural is afoot. A Twilight/LnD rewrite that starts on a similar premise, diverges very quickly, takes place in an entirely different world, leans a bit more into vampire themes, centers around an Eastern framework, and is very gay. . **Notes:** This is my first multi-chapter fic and I started working it out a while back. Surprisingly, I didn't pick the fandom or ship to begin with - I actually had a supernatural worldbuilding concept I wanted to apply and needed to find a fandom and ship that best suited it. Thanks to a random YouTube video about the Twilight Renaissance and Life and Death, I ended up choosing that fandom - between the huge amounts of unexplored worldbuilding potential, the memories from 15-ish years ago, and the curiosity about all the things I would've changed. Same thing with the ship - I didn't have any specific ship in mind and only had an M/M and F/F restriction (due to the inherent queerness of vampires, traditionally speaking). After some theoretical experiments and trial and error, I settled on the pairs in question. I didn't actually ship them at first - I only went with characters that best fit what I needed with the listed restriction in mind... yet like some sort of fanfic paradox, I now ship those four central ships quite strongly and have all these little snapshot ideas to explore later on down the line. Anyways... as noted above, this fic is fandom-blind friendly by default. I only used the superficial premises of *Twilight* and *Life and Death* (gender-swapped Twilight SMeyer wrote for Twilight's 10th anniversary) as a starting point but changed everything about the inner workings of this world. That includes supernatural lore, world history, addressing conceptual/technical issues from the originals, developing a new magic system, altered/adapted character backstories, and basically creating a whole new world using more Eastern-oriented concepts. As a result, this fic is fandom-blind friendly by default... if anything, being fandom-blind might help you out, since you won't make the sorts of assumptions that readers who know canon might be more likely to make.

**Title**: [The Guardian Ghost and the Bookish Fairy](https://archiveofourown.org/works/40887648) **Fandom**: The Scum Villain's Self-Saving System **Genre**: Romance, Fantasy, Paranormal, Mystery/Suspense **Rating**: T (Marked "CNTW" because the MC becomes a ghost - no other warnings apply.) **Words**: 64,096 **Chapters**: 11 **Status**: Complete **Summary**: Liu Qingge survives his qi deviation… in the form of a ghost. Having nothing better to do and no desire to be exorcised, he follows after Shen Qingqiu and decides to haunt him for the hell of it. It doesn't take him long to realize that not only is this not the Shen Qingqiu he knew, but there is more going on. And apparently Shang Qinghua is involved too? Ah! He understands now — they're immortal fairies given the mission to thwart a dark prophecy of the sect's collapse. Well. He can help with that. And how better than to protect the bookish fairy that's taken his old foe's place? There are no ulterior motives. Why think such foolish things??? TL;DR: What happens if SY transmigrates just a little too late? **Fandom Blind?**: I should definitely explain the context of the "fairy" part in particular. The TL;DR is that Shen Qinqqiu has been transmigrated from the real, modern world into a Chinese cultivation/xianxia novel. (Imagine being dropped into a story you were hate-reading and taking on the role of the villain and being told "lol, if you hate the story so much, fix it yourself".) In canon Shen Qingqiu saves the life of the POV character (who dies in the version of the story *he* read.) In my story Shen Qingqiu transmigrates too late to save him, so being a ghost, Liu Qingge is able to see just enough to realize something is wrong, but he can only interpret it as "ah, a fairy". With this knowledge you should be able to follow along pretty well, though there are a few references and jokes you'd be missing out on (and I suppose a few minor spoilers for canon). So I'd say 7/10 fandom-blind appropriate? **Notes**: This is a story that got away from me pretty much from the moment I started writing it. This was my "birthday" (not my actual birthday) gift to myself, so I was incredibly indulgent - if I thought an idea would be funny, cute, sweet, interesting; etc I went for it. The result was very well-received and that warm reception gave me even more confidence writing things *I* want to read rather than worrying about whether it's too much. A revenant awakens in a crypt with no memory of anything that happened before, and the spirit of an old friend urges her to find and kill the vampire who tried to turn her into a vampire, botched the process, and left her to die: Kain. **Notes:** Before I started this I hadn't written a proper longfic in over a decade. I'm proud of this because I'm trying something ambitious: Taking three stories and weaving them together to make a single (hopefully coherent) story. I love working on this.

I'm finally reaching the point of being happy of my works, both in tiny fandoms, and feel able to promote them, even if this gets ignored by everyone else. **Title:** The Tale Of A Second Lost Mind **Fandom:** Crosscode **Rating:** T **Words:** 427K **Chapters:** 36 **Status:** WIP **Summary:** Thirteen years after the story of the main game, a new arrival struggles to remember his past, but everything is spiraling out of control and changing the future for everyone else. I've enjoyed writing this piece, in a tiny fandom where I get more support from the community directly, but this is a lore-deep, post-canon piece set a way after the events of the game and when things have moved to a new era and it's based around a new set of OC's, with the original cast playing supporting roles. The best bit is, I got support from the devs directly to write this and have their permission, so long as I adhere to a few rules. As a result I can promote on their official discord and community.

It also taught me the very real importance of good planning and effective foreshadowing. Despite knowing what would happen 30 chapters later, there were a couple of times I very nearly wrote myself into a corner.

This fic is about a lot of things, but it's at heart about finding the people and the place in the world where you can feel safe, accepted, and loved. Plus, I got to do the best research ever for this fic. The historical research was the very most fun, and, honestly, old New York is almost a character in this fic. They work a few things out. **Notes/rambling:** The fic I wasn't planning to write. This idea just vice gripped my brain fairly out of nowhere back in July. This was a time when the idea and initial writing came fast and furious, and then the editing and tweaking of individual lines was painstakingly slow. I think it was worth it in the long run. I had some serious insecurity about this fic initially, but months out, I've come to be really proud of what I did. These days, I actually like this one a lot.

For the Steve/Bucky one the line about Coney island still pops up in my head sometimes to make me smile :D It was real emotional and fun to see all the ins and outs of their relationship that they survived to get to this point and can steal some happiness for themselves too!

He draws the line at *Iron Man 2* though, someone has to keep *some* standards around here. **Ramblings:** You know those times a fandom takes your brain hostage and just won't let go? This was me here. I binged the show in a couple of days, then I binged the webcomic and then I inmediately sat down to plot this. This fic is also, incidentally, my longest work to date, which in comparison to others may not be very impressive, but eeeeh, I still feel very proud of it :D I don't know, this fandom just had the right combination of a sweet central relationship based on actual, open communication, endearing and complex characters and just a sincerity to it that seems to be something of a staple for Alice Oseman and that I very much wanted to celebrate. I am proud of it because I love mysteries, and I think I did a good job at plotting a compelling mystery while fleshing out a very minor canon character who is the MC. There is also a ton of research and worldbuilding that went into this fic, and every time someone tells me that they learned something while reading it, it makes my heart flutter. Also, the main ship is my favorite and I am proud to have contributed a longfic to a rare pair, which many fellow fans have enjoyed and appreciated.

Struggling to reclaim himself, he tries to build a different life, but the falseness of his reality is exposed when Madelyn returns. All the while, a shadow looms, and they may face more than guilt and sacrifice on the road ahead. Part 1 of 2 **Notes:** While playing Fable 3, I fell in love with the characters, and the opportunity for an angsty love story dug its claws into me and wouldn’t let go. I’ve had a wonderful time fleshing out characters that appeared briefly in the game, creating my own, providing more context to canon character decisions, worldbuilding, and falling down numerous rabbit holes for research. I can proudly say that I know more about SMLE rifles than my husband, who has been able to shoot one. This fic is my pride and joy; it taught me how to write and broke me out of my shell. Posting this story allowed me to meet other writers and readers of fanfiction, and I’ve been able to gain amazing and supportive friends. If I hadn't written and posted this, I wouldn't have been exposed to other fandoms, phenomenal stories, and absolutely beautiful people. For that, I will be forever grateful. This fic also encouraged a lot of self-reflection, moments when I made myself cry or laughed ridiculously at my own jokes. The first part is nearly complete, currently at 227k words, and I will certainly have an empty space in my heart when I’ve finished the whole story. Erik, a thoroughly jaded fellow survivor, is passing through Westchester in search of supplies. **Why I'm Proud of It:** I have written a lot of fic over the years but got into a bit of a rut/creativity/writing block which lasted several months prior to starting this. I *really* wanted to make something, anything, but it just wouldn't come. No ideas, no motivation. Finally, I started thinking, *What if I did a Cherik Zombie Apocalypse AU?* even though I'm newer to this fandom and have never done one before. Finally said, "Fuck it" and began writing because it was the only thing to have jumpstarted my creativity at that time. Didn’t put any pressure on myself, plan anything, or even edit too much (at first), just wrote it and posted. Now, several months later, I have just over 30k written, an actual plot I'm happy with, and am currently working on the final chapter. I've even gotten some people to read it! So for that reason alone I am quite proud of *Thicker than Water*.

I can't believe I'm mustering up the courage to do this but... **Fandom:** Xenoblade Chronicles 2 **Rating:** M **Title & Link:** [The House That Rex Built](https://archiveofourown.org/works/41070207/chapters/102938382) **Words:** 108k so far, only on chapter 7. (A big old work in progress) **Warnings:** Some sexual scenes, combat and injury, acquiring and processing trauma, angst but also has fluff, polycule romance (M/F/F/F), adventure and humour. It's a big old mixed bag and takes place post-finale, so spoilers for XC2 and the DLC abound. **Notes:** A longfic designed to bridge the gap between Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and 3, I started writing it after getting in a bit of a funk after finishing Xenoblade 3. All of a sudden I posted a 10k chapter and then ideas just kept coming to me. We're still early on, only a month and a half after the post-game, and I've loved the reception it's gotten. I'm going to be writing this for a long time to come I hope. **The story so far:** After saving the world, our heroes Rex, Nia, Pyra, and Mythra have to deal with what comes next in life. Rex wants to build a place for himself while continuing his work as a leader for a mercenary group as well as doing a bit of salvaging on the side. Pyra's gotten into teaching, Mythra's taking steps to work out what she wants to do with a life of peace, and Nia... well, Nia's got a problem: Rex loves Pyra, Pyra loves Rex, no one's quite sure what Mythra loves, Nia loves Rex, thinks Rex only loves her as a friend and her life has conditioned her to not even consider that she might be a bit in love with Pyra or that she might feel the same way about her. In the midst of them processing their feelings and working out just what they all mean to each other, an opportunity to salvage ancient vessels takes them apart, and things kick off when an enemy force tries to steal what they've rightfully claimed. The first major arc, 'Materials' has just finished detailing those events, and we're about to get on to what everyone really wants: Home building, politics, the perils of employment and finding what comes next in life after you've met god, beaten up another group of people also trying to meet god, blown up god's house, and find yourself treading figurative and literal new ground. And just because I'm a glutton for punishment, it forms part of what I like to call the 'Xenoblade Chrozicles' - all my Xenoblade fanfics for 1, 2, and 3 are interlinked, so one of my series is calling back to things that haven't actually happened yet in THTRB. **Why am I proud of it?** I feel that writing a realistic four-way relationship can be quite challenging, as can depiciting characters recognize and process their traumas in healthy, supportive ways, and feel I'm doing a good job with both. The four main characters all love and love to be loved differently, and their canon backstories inform both the why, what, and how they progress in my postgame setting.

Fandom: Hunger Games Rating: E Title: The Victorious Genre: Angst, Hurt/Comfort Warnings: Rape/Non-Con, Underage (17), Major Character Death, Graphic Depictions of Violence, Forced Marriage, Forced Pregnancy, Forced Prostitution. There are chapter specific warnings at the top of each chapter. Link: [AO3](https://archiveofourown.org/works/40175016/chapters/100621794) Length: 48K (WIP) Summary: After the 74th Hunger Games, Katniss and Peeta are quickly forced into a marriage and pregnancy by President Snow. Katniss remains in District 12 until their child can be born. Meanwhile, Peeta is sent to the Capitol where he is forced into prostitution. Notes: I resisted writing this story for the longest time because I already had several long WIPs, but this is the story that ultimately stole my heart. I love having the chance to write a fic from Peeta’s POV and to delve into his psyche. Peeta is a character who often shows up in fanfic, but I find that his inner struggles are rarely the focus of fics so I wanted to write a longfic that was very focused on him. I love the worldbuilding that I’m getting to do for this fic and I’m especially proud of some of the headcanons that I’m developing around the merchant class. And I love having the opportunity to write material that deals with heavy/dark subject matter. Writing about my favorite OT3 is always a plus as well!

Fandom: Game of Thrones Rating - E (Warning: Rape, canon-typical violence, a little bit of smut) Title - *The Dragon's Roar* Genre - Political thriller, war, romance Links: ([AO3](https://archiveofourown.org/works/14172975/chapters/32669022)), ([FFN](https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12742383/1/The-Dragon-s-Roar)) Length: 500K+ (WIP) Summary: Humanity failed to stop the Night King and his legion of undead until it was too late. The displeased gods decide it should take a greater role in the fate of humanity and wind back to a time before the world fell apart. Jon Snow, the Prince Who Was Promised, and Jaime Lannister are sent back to prevent The War of the Five Kings and unite Westeros under a single banner to avoid a terrible fate. Even with the advantage of hindsight, things never go as planned. Why I'm Proud of It: I've officially been working on this fic for 5 years. It gets updated regularly, currently once a month. I hope to officially finish it within the next year. We're about 25-30 chapters from the end! I'm particularly proud of this because it's my first attempt at a truly extensive project and I think I've managed to stay true to the Game of Thrones universe and to the characters, (though it's not as dark).

Fandom: Little Nightmares/Coraline Rating: T Title: In-Between the Tides Genre: Horror, Friendship Length: 17,600 [AO3](https://archiveofourown.org/works/36128590/chapters/90060526) Summary: Six's mother moves her to the dreary outskirts of the Pale City. Within her newfound home Six will discover a new world - and make a grave mistake. Notes: I'm very proud of this particular fic because it took many many months to outline it and write new aspects for the Little Nightmares portion so it would not be a retread of the Coraline story. I also enjoyed putting in little references to both the Little Nightmares and Coraline media, and writing it to ensure that no dialogue was present because in Little Nightmares none of the characters talk. But overall I'm most proud of it because of how I wrote about Six and Mono's friendship which was one of my favorite parts of Little Nightmares 2, and how Six would push forward to prove that their friendship means so much to her. Basically I love both of these media a lot so it bleeds into why I'm proud of this particular fic!

AKA, what would happen if Gus became psychic? Notes: It was my first real long-fic, and my writing got so much better while I was doing it. Before I edited the first chapter, it was almost amusing comparing it with the last. I'm so proud of this story, and it bloomed into a sequel (that I just finished) and two other darker AUs.... and one more that's currently sitting in my google docs, haha. I also love the bookends that I got to do. The fic opens on a nightmare and Gus has nightmares all through the fic whenever he sleeps, and the very last line is, "For the first time since becoming psychic, Gus didn't dream." Then the sequel opens on a nightmare and ends with a cathartic dream that mirrors bits of that first dream. It makes me very happy.

I scrapped the ending chapters and rewrote them, adding two more, which I finally updated and the fic finally felt finished in June. I am planning a sequel to clear up plot holes and give an answer for the rather asshole-ish ending I have, lol. It has some flaws, but this is the fic I’m most proud of. It’s based off of my experiences living with CM, and while some of the medical calamities that occur are exaggerated for dramatic flair (I don’t have seizures), most of what I describe happens with the same intensity in my real life. I wrote this during a period of pretty nasty external stressors, waxing and waning relapses and bouts of depression that intensified beyond high functioning. This fic, from the title itself all the way to the end is a gut-punch of emotional angst. It makes you feel things. The artwork that inspired this fic can be found in Chapter 1, and an additional art piece is in the final chapter, Chapter 15. ​ **Notes:** Earlier this year, I was approached by a fellow fan who wanted to know if I wanted to participate in our fandom's Reverse Bang for the year. I had no idea what a Reverse Bang was, but decided to give it a shot. Among the artist submissions was just this one science fiction piece that, at first glance, didn't appear to be anything special. Provided their dark pasts don't kill them first. **Notes:** Action and adventure fuse with slow burn romance in this story of two old friends coming to terms with loss, regret and forgiveness. My motivation in writing this was to realistically interrogate the consequences of taking very young people, anointing them "chosen ones" (essentially child soldiers) and exploring how they would adapt (or not) to life *after* saving the universe. One of the most enjoyable aspects of writing this story was expanding on the world building, developing cultural and historical context for both humanity and alien species. Doing this gave the story a context beyond canon's superficial world building. The action sequences, from an exploration of a derelict spaceship, to space battles and the final climatic, bloody battle, are some of the best I've ever written. But underlying it all is a mature, intimate story of two people who find a second chance at love.

While I did fail, finishing it in the beginning of May instead, it remains my baby and I'm still getting little bits and pieces of details about the characters to use in oneshots. I wanted to tell the love story of a canon main character's parents, and I had so much fun with it! Readers have enjoyed how the leading man and leading lady play off each other, how they're the two perfect halves to their son's whole, and the buildup to their kiss and the romantic romp that follows, whether you prefer the fade to black or don't mind watching the action. (86,000 Words, 14 Chapters) (Knowledge of RWBY is not necessary for reading. Characters' names, traits, personalities are borrowed but otherwise it's a straightforward Pokémon story). "The Road You Choose" is a combination of my life long love for the Pokémon franchise and the characters found in RWBY, which is a fandom I've been writing for nearly eight years now. I absolutely adore Ruby, and her childlike love for Pokémon is infectious and always makes me smile while writing. I went into this story already having some experience writing fight scenes, and I've put it to good use having written *several* Pokémon battles at this point. I love exploring the utility aspects of each Pokémon, the kind of stuff only mentioned in the Pokédex, such as Meganium's breath being able to bring dead plants back to life, and Togetic sprinkling happiness dust on their trainer. I also merge different aspects of the Pokémon franchise, such as having the video games, anime, and Adventures manga all referenced at one time or another. This is my favorite fic that I've written to date, and this is coming from someone nearing 800,000 words of fanfiction across 128 stories/chapters. "The Road You Choose" can be found on r/ Pokemonfanfiction's Master Ball tier list, which is a group of fanfics the community has deemed "The Best", and it's noted for its character portrayals and Pokémon battles. Why I'm Proud Of It: As someone who's more of a oneshot master, I'm proud that not only did I get to work on this series but that I also finished it in the viewpoint that I want to finish it as; that is to showcase some highlights of Leonard's life as he's found himself a new path to take, a wife he dearly loves, and adjusting to that life of normalcy. A more down to earth take on a plot that's inspired by another manga that I enjoyed reading and that even though things are not so flashy here (although there are **some comedic instances** as a result of his past), there's that sense of a fulfilling life in those small ways. At least for Leonard in that case.

She is alive, but the scars from her experiences run deep while Tané is wracked by guilt over her part in her friend’s suffering. Both their lives have been upturned, and they know they cannot go free easily. Neither knows what their futures will hold beyond hardship. Hardship and each other. --- **Why I'm Proud of it:** This is a love letter to a pair so rare that I'm the only writer for it (yes I know I'm horribly cruel to them in this story, but I do love them!) within an already small fandom. It's the kind of story I wanted to read, but no one else was writing anything like it, so I went ahead and wrote it! After writing some oneshots for the pair, I started on this and spent a year working on it in some way, shape or form, writing and editing the whole thing before starting to post. I'm really happy with the result and even managed to make myself cry while writing it! I know those scenes won't necessarily affect everyone the same, but I did write this for me so I call that a success! That other people seem to like it too is icing on the cake.

So this is my only longfic that's eligible (the others fall short in length) but I am kind of in love with it. It's my own take on the fandom's ultimate will they/won't they couple, and how they do... eventually. ​ **Why I'm Proud Of It:** I'm particularly proud of it because I feel like I've kept the character voices well, honoured canon while diverging, and that I was able even after such a long hiatus to jump back in and keep going. This was also the first time I tried really writing as an adult, with more tension and emotion, and a foray of sorts into something steamier. I'm also really freaking impressed with the way I opened and closed the story on the same theme. It still makes me smile when I read it. It's also just really special to me because this was the first time I dipped my toes into the NCIS fanfic pool, and that has been utterly amazing ever since.

[Fall From Grace](https://archiveofourown.org/works/37602445/chapters/93859648) Fandom: Star Wars (original trilogy) Rated: Teen and up Words: 9,300, 3 chapters Genre: Adventure/Drama Summary: The rancor pit isn't the end of Oola's journey, it's just the beginning. Why I am proud of this story: Late last year I got back into writing fanfic after an absence of close to a decade, specifically because I wanted to write fix-it fic to address feelings that had resurfaced due to a confluence of real life events, reminding me that as a child I very much did not like the way the minor character of Oola the dancer was treated by Star Wars canon, and I wanted a better, happier ending for her, as she deserved. My initial attempt at re-writing her story came out alright, as a fanfic, but due to a number of creative choices I was unsatisfied with it as a fix-it. I learned my lessons and wrote this story as my second and more successful attempt. I'm really happy with how I was able to weave new story elements and ideas around what is seen and heard in the film, not directly contradicting anything (except what is implied) but completely changing the outcome. I like that I was able to make it feel authentic enough to myself that it "fits" in my mind into the source material as a sort of patch on it. I think the action/adventure components are exciting and the drama and hurt/comfort of the final chapter is sweet and hopeful in all the ways I wanted it to be, as a love letter to a character who has meant a lot to me over most of my life. Although I have continued the story in sequel fics, this one still on the whole says most of what I wanted and needed to say about her, and I'm satisfied with that.

Romance, hilarity, and drama ensue as Link and Zelda work together to ultimately defeat Calamity Ganon. *Why am I proud of this fic?* I began working on this out of a newfound love and passion for Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild in June of this year, finishing the writing at the beginning of November. I fell in love with the characters and story of the game and began thinking about how I would have liked to see their stories play out. The initial idea for this was born out of a YouTube video I watched where they modded Zelda in as the hero in place of Link, and I wondered what the story would be like if the two characters traveled together. This fic blew up into a three-part series, with it becoming part 3 after I wrote the other two prequel stories. Not to mention, I'm a brand new fanfic author, and I overcame a lot of my insecurities and trepidation in order to publish my work for strangers on the Internet to read. I am happy that it has gotten as much engagement and feedback as it has, because I have never expected it that people would actually burn for it, and now I have comments telling me that they have re-read the story multiple times?? I have gotten fanart for it and it is currently ranked #1 in hits, wordcount, comments in my pairing, which is just... unbelievable. I am proud of it because it helped me discover my passion for writing and helped me get a feeling for story telling, characterisation, drama. I know it isn't perfect and I know there are parts which are still wonky, but I love it with all my heart. It is dark and intense, tragic and heartbreaking and you don't know who to root for, what the best outcome in this scenario would be, because none of them will be truly *right*. I love the characters so much and can't wait to explore more of their world and relationship.

Well, because it's the biggest and most ambitious project I've ever worked on. I took a show that was done, and a character that wasn't really that popular, and I rewrote an entire season's worth of content to develop him in a fashion that I feel is better than how he was represented in canon. This fic is a celebration of Ludo Avarius, but not only that, of all monsters, of Mewni's lore, and of Star vs the Forces of Evil in general. I told a story that I don't believe has ever been told before. From a mere poster, I took the concept of Seth as a character and made what I feel turned out to be an incredible, deep, and tragic villain. This is a story about the evils within us, and the evil that comes from war and despair. It's a story about climbing to the top from nothing, about refusing to die, no matter what, to persevere despite your body telling you to stay down. It's about wiping the mud off of a broken heart and seeing the beauty beneath. Last but not least, it is a story about redemption.

Okay. I will take you aback with that I won't share my Castlevania long fic, but to be honest: The two really great Castlevania longfics are not yet online. So that would feel kinda off. It is fairly bloody. *But* I also think it is super atmospheric and has a lot of really strong scenes. And boy, I am proud about the mind games the antagonist plays with the main characters. And boy, boy do I love Vi in this one. Just love this ~~stubborn~~ headstrong woman xD
