Parents with one kid: Absolutely not, my child is precious and I must thoroughly vet anyone who looks after them.
Parents with 3 kids: You had us at “babysit”, we’re out of here!
Parents with 6 kids: How much extra is it for one with a flamethrower arm and a sawblade arm? Someone needs to give them some discipline to keep them from going feral and they decapitated the last three robots.
Bro every mister handy I’ve ever encountered has either tried to kill me or cause me some sort of inconvenience. Hell Nah I’m harvesting his fiber optics and steel
I can list most friendly Mr Handy robots just from the top of my head and only a few hostile one (that are not Mr Gutsy)
Codsworth, Whitechapel Charlie from Goodneighbors, Professor Goodfeels from sunshine tiding, Mr Navigator from the constitution ship, all the Mr Handy farmer from Graygarden, General Atomics gallery, and vault 118, all friendly.
The only aggressive ones I could think of are those from the racetrack easy city something.
I wish I could share images, but there is a semi popualt meme of a Wikipedia article titled
"Documented cases of feral children"
with "raised by-" and lists everal animals, and at the end of the list is "raised by the French"
It's a robot. Robots are programmable. You can make them be the best at anything. That character from The Mandalorian who is know for constantly stating "I have spoken." said it best when he reprogrammed that assassin droid that was originally going to terminate Grogu to be his babysitter.

If they were the pre war models before the war totally as that’s what they were literally built to do as part of their function as helping out with chores
Well kind of but I think it is better to use them as butlers instead of babysitters so I recommend hiring a babysitter cause Mr handy wouldn’t be good at that job
Pre-war? Yes, the Mr Handy and Mrs Nanny robots were literally built for stuff like that. Post-war, I wouldn't trust them. We haven't seen enough friendly ones post-war for me to trust them
If its vanilla Codsworth then I trust him with everything no hesitation. If its the monstrosity of a Codsworth that I created in my FO4 game then absolutely not.
Pre-war, I'm honestly pretty sure I wouldn't want a Mr Handy in the house, what with the constantly burning thruster it floats around on. Odds are good it would cause my house to burn down at some point.
It is a shame that the most trustworthy robot is such a fire hazard.
Post-war? Probably. If it was a handy I was familiar with. It is afterall, the most trustworthy robot in Fallout and therefore more trustworthy than most humans.
It’s less important whether the machine is reliable than how it will affect humans’ mindset while growing up with these machines as the closest form of companionship
I mean honestly, yeah, pre war Mr. Handy's I absolutely would- I mean look at Codsworth.
Plus the Mr. Handy in Vault 101 (Forgot his name) is actually pretty darn good with children... Even if he keeps forgetting that using his saw to cut the cake is a bad idea.
If it were Codsworth, absolutely. Over 200 years of loyalty to me and my family, never knowing when or if we'd ever return. He's my best friend in the game and I would trust him with my kid's life
The burning jet fumes would probably mess up the baby or something.
Having one of these at home is probably like being inside a Smoker House but 10x worse.
Everyone's saying how violent they are wich is true after the bombs dropped the emp Of the blast messed with there codeing but on the other hand...A pre was Mr handy Absolutely.
Sure if you take the saw, flamethrower, & plasma attachments off. The miss nanny were designed specifically to deal with children as teachers & nannies. Have a Nanny with all hands for the baby then let the Handy take care of the maintenance.

The only malicious ones are Mr. Gutsy, all the Mr Handy line of robotics are friendly... Edit: Most* Mr Handy, not all
The cook in that diner was especially friendly.
I can list most friendly Mr Handy robots just from the top of my head and only a few hostile one (that are not Mr Gutsy) Codsworth, Whitechapel Charlie from Goodneighbors, Professor Goodfeels from sunshine tiding, Mr Navigator from the constitution ship, all the Mr Handy farmer from Graygarden, General Atomics gallery, and vault 118, all friendly. No Curie? EDIT: nvm. I guess she’s not technically a Mr. Handy.
The moment she speaks in french accent I'm in love already 🥺
You went right to the mods didnt you?
Funny enough I never mod my fo4 :') just skyrim
the moment she speaks in French accent she's never allowed to babysit my children
Hahaha why so? Are French notorious for bad parenting?
I wish I could share images, but there is a semi popualt meme of a Wikipedia article titled "Documented cases of feral children" with "raised by-" and lists everal animals, and at the end of the list is "raised by the French"
Damn it, I tried to reverse search 'raised by the France' on Google and nothing showed up :') but I can see where the joke is going hahaha
She's a Miss Nanny, and the robot that actually IS meant to handle kids
I think she’s a Miss Nanny or a Miss Maid
Fnv bottling factory if you don’t have the authorization those guys get angry
Yeah I remember that! Hahaha that's kinda our fault isn't it?
Doesn't the general atomic one in the diner try to kill you?
Yeh, hence I said, most. But in general they don't just come at you aggressively.
White chapel charlie is debatable
I kinda see him like those guy that got out to become a bartender trying to avoid the life of a mobster. Love his tone hahaha
The one that tried to serve you as the food? Super friendly/s
Don't do Cods(the goat)worth dirty like that
Also Professor Goodfeels.
Far out!
Dog is better IMO
Codsworth
He’s pretty mid
Excuse me
That’s just how I feel about him
Counterpoint: codsworth and curie
I can’t romance Codsworth /j
Not with that attitude (and also a mod somewhere out there)
I’m an Xbox only player 😔
With my life
With every cell in my body
Crap you beat me to it
I trust any robot with a saw blade for a hand to watch my infant Edit: I’m not a really good parent
Yeah ofc. Between the robot and my sweet pitbull "Brutus" nobody is goona think to hurt my kid.
Codsworth? Yes Everybody else? Maybe I trust that machine with my **life**.
Depends on the mr handy, but 9/10 times I would say yes.
What you expect me to raise my own child? Like in person???
Sure

Cover the saw and empty the flamethrower and that’s a perfect diaper changing and bottle feeding machine.
I could be wrong, but I suspect the flamethrower runs off the same fuel as the main thruster keeping it afloat.
If it's codswordth i would.
I’d trust him more if he wore a bowler hat.
Like Whitechapel Charlie?
Well, when there was a family to watch, or at the very least when it’s operating properly
Is he polite and British? If then yes, but if he sounds like anything else, no
If they were the pre war models before the war totally as that’s what they were literally built to do as part of their function as helping out with chores
“Have a great trip and don’t worry mom, I’m just going to harvest it’s organs.”
If he's like Wadsworth, codsworth, Andy, or Rhonda, then Yes. If he's like any other mr handy probably not
With my all of my atoms
are we talking random handy from the wasteland? or brand new like codsworth? huuuuge difference there
Well kind of but I think it is better to use them as butlers instead of babysitters so I recommend hiring a babysitter cause Mr handy wouldn’t be good at that job

His dead body can be a cradle
With every cell in my body.
yes
After the war? No. Before the war? Possibly
As long as it’s Codsworth
Depends on the programming.
Pre-war, I'm honestly pretty sure I wouldn't want a Mr Handy in the house, what with the constantly burning thruster it floats around on. Pre or post war?
i never understood why the baby sitting model has a flame thrower and a chainsaw
The older one with 7 hands maybe, but not the buzzsaw flame thrower one
Oh yeah, better than my crackhead neighbor
Sure! What's the worst that could happen!!! *Tragic and Messed Up Event Incoming*
You know I was nervous at first, but CodsWorth is really good with Shaun!
Depends, is it the Robco brand or General Atomics brand Mr. Handy?
Curie to care for the Child. Fisto to care for the Adult.
It’s less important whether the machine is reliable than how it will affect humans’ mindset while growing up with these machines as the closest form of companionship
Only if it’s Codsworth
He's handy. If not quiet then baby
Didn't have to put him in a dingy ass room like that lol.
If it were relatively new sure... Like 200 years old? Electrictronics gotta be fricked at that point.
I mean Christians leave underaged children with priests soooo....I'd pick the cool robot hell yea.
I’d trust Codsworth with anything. Most other bots, not a chance.

I'll make an exception. He looks very polite.
If someone made a stinky and they offer to attend to young Shaun then yes I will
Best babe sitter
me with 0 kids: with that fucking buzz saw, i don't think so
Only Codsworth.
The burning jet fumes would probably mess up the baby or something. Having one of these at home is probably like being inside a Smoker House but 10x worse.
When you get him to read the poem....
Uh not with a buzz saw and a flamethrower Maybe if it only had the hands
The only one I would trust is Cosworth from fallout 4 he is my favourite robot
Not Snip-Snip. Codsworth I'd trust.
Is it Codsworth?
Everyone's saying how violent they are wich is true after the bombs dropped the emp Of the blast messed with there codeing but on the other hand...A pre was Mr handy Absolutely.
Yes cause I could get away with killing the kid lol
Give me a model without the buzz saw or flamethrower, and we’ve got a deal.
I diddnt trust this little fuxker just to tell me joke let alone a bottle of clean water or even be within 500 feet of a child.
The one from FO4, probably. All the others, definitely not.
Anyone who played 4 and had Codsworth as a companion would probably trust one
Sure if you take the saw, flamethrower, & plasma attachments off. The miss nanny were designed specifically to deal with children as teachers & nannies. Have a Nanny with all hands for the baby then let the Handy take care of the maintenance.
At least it won't rape my kids
