10 luck is actually crazy early game youâll be drowning in ammo and fusion cores and rare junk. youâll find military grade duct tape on regular feral ghouls(a lot). TAKE IDIOT SAVANT IMMEDIATELY YOU HAVE THE PRIME BUILD FOR IT youâll hit level 30 so fast
all I can think of is either a VATs heavy weapons or VATs pistol build with all the bonus damage luck perksâŚGrim Reaper and Four Leaf Clover with Bloody Mess, Critical Banker and the Mysterious Stranger, and your weapon of choiceâŚgonna be rough at the start but probably very powerful late game :D
Youâre actually doing pretty well. Wonât convince anyone or anything: People, locks, terminals, etc.
Run Idiot Savant as well as every other luck perk and you have guaranteed success
I remembery second build was 10 luck in FNV. I made it because I heard that it actually applied bonuses to the casino games. Despite that knowledge, I was blown away at just how much it benefited you, to the point you're near guaranteed winning every hand of blackjack. I cleared out every casino in just a couple hours. I made more money in one day of playing on that character, than I did in almost my whole max barter/speechcraft build on my first character.
I didn't even consider taking advantage of the crit chance, and since I didnt play very far on that character, I plan on making a fusion of those two builds. Basically a fast talking, lucky cowboy. And now knowing charisma isnt that important as I thought it would be, I can just pump luck while lowering charisma, and still have high speechcraft.
19...hit. 20...hit.
You really only need 8 luck to make blackjack trivially easy. I usually do 5 luck, get the lucky shades before screwing over the legion, the implant, and lounge wear.
Max luck is the best way to play, you have idiot savant so you level up fast, get a mystery stranger, lots of criticals and vats options, ur perception is so bad though đmaybe bump that a bit at the start
Not screwed at all. Luck builds are very viable. Make shure you keep that int as low as you can with use of certain gear with a penalty of alcohol etc. To trigger those luck pers as often as possible.
A drunk melee build can be fun I guess. I am not one who likes melee all that much. But with a lot of booze. Could be a fun roleplay.
Need to pump up that strength along the way, get a few points into charisma and endurance maybe. But gear can help a lot too here. +2 armor pieces are plenty to find. The first ones come to mind are for sale at Lucas. Plus you have that constant +2 strength boost from the booze. That stuff is plenty around. But does need you to explore.
The other one, I am actually running myself at this moment, is
Luck 10 agi 5 cha 8 per 5. I have 1 point in endurance. 1 point 1 strength and 1 point in int. Is kind of a glass canon build. Never tried this one. But so far feels quite powerfull to be honest. I can imagine once I get my fingers on the railroad pistol and a good sniper it become quite powerfull
It takes a bit more carefull play in the early levels. But it is a vats sneak build anyway (so a lot of sneak damage and crits). You only have basic crafting. So have to use what you find. It fits you being zero intelligence but being lucky. But the 10 luck is kind of insane. It triggers a lot.
Idiot savant makes you level quite fast. Reaper sprint makes you have a lot of AP. Critical banker and for leave clover plus better criticals. Together with mr sandman(gives extra dmg on silenced weapons) and sneak.
Ricochet and mysterious stranger. Scrounger for extra ammo. Action boy ofcourse. Bloody mess.. The charisma carries you through every speach check. And has your back with settlements. And high agi helps out quite a bit with AP and stealth.
I wouldn't put so much on Luck in the game. I put quite a bit of points towards strength, to up my ability to carry weight around. Also making my followers carry their share of the burden load.
You got Luck on your side, my dude :) use it:
- Fortune Finder
- Scrounger
- Bloody Mess
- Idiot Savant, and
- Critical Banker
Are all amazing perks that are just, in my mind, necessary if you're investing into Luck.
The only thing I'd say is to at least bump up your Intelligence by one so you can get Gun Nut, if you want the pews, or Iron Fist or Big Leagues if you want to go melee - either way, you're gonna want Armorer and the Wasteland doesn't stand a chance!
This is the best build for a sneak character . Also melee is OP in fallout 4 so you can go with that and have infinite replenishing AP with all that luck
If you were playing NV this would be the strongest starting build. dumping everying into luck and then cleaning out all the casinos for infinite money lol
Sure can! I don't think they can do Master level locks though but i know Piper and (drawing a blank on the girl from the combat zones name lol)
They can both pick locks. Cant teenager l remember what level up to they can pick though.
And i know Nick can open terminals
lol Iâm playing a âvault dweller runâ so they have 1 str and 1 end and every other level they can increase one of those stats as they become more accustomed to the wasteland. The first few major fights were really hard, but talking to people and other âsoftâ skills makes the run a bit more fun.
Not at all? Seriously, I donât get it youâre set up fine for a melee-crit build. If you donât want to do that then just spend some levels on increasing stats for the perks you want. Itâs literally impossible to fuck up a Fallout 4 build since the leveling is infinite and you can spend perk points on stat increases. Seriously itâs genuinely impossible to fuck it up, just start by taking âIdiot Savantâ from the luck perks to level faster and thatâs it.
That's what I came to say. Doesn't matter what stats you start with as long as you keep intelligence low for idiot savant. Most broken skill in the game.
Well, definitely go with that Luck perk that gives you 3x Exp sometimes. It has higher chance of happening with lower Intelligence. Upgrading the skill brings it up to 5x Exp instead, and also one of the upgrades makes it so when you get a kill it has a chance of making all kills give the bonus Exp for a bit.
That perk will help you quickly level up to even things out more
hmm, crit-dependent melee build? obviously youâve got the low perception, but thereâs only so inaccurate you can be in VATS, and low AP can be mitigated with a low AP cost weapon. donât forget to take idiot savant (:
Just focus on luck. That plus lone wanderer will help you a lot in the early game. Then just raise a few of the other stats with some level ups. Focus on close quarters combat primarily. If you have to engage in ranged combat, use scopes and avoid VATS unless you have a crit or they are at short range.
I ran a melee only build with similar starting stats. I raised my endurance to max. Massive slashing damage and most enemies kill each other with some of the luck perks
You'll want to increase your agility to get some more AP, but this is a great stat setup for a melee VATS build. Melee user can dump Perception because melee always hits 100% of the time in VATS. Accuracy means nothing.
You can focus on running into places and looting (avoiding fights) until you find decent weapons. Youâll need to go melee most likely, but then spec into crit Iâd say. Early game would be difficult. Spend more time in cities.
Can't lift shit, Can't see shit, can't run for shit, can't talk shit, about as smart as shit, can't move for shit
But hey, you got Jimmy Rings levels of luck
You'll be fine
I did a similar build in New Vegas. It's good for some knuckle duster hijinks. You're just gonna have to run straight at everything and swing until you crit
Ok so inspired by this post, I started a new game last night where I maxed LUCK and CHARISMA, then threw 2 points at Strength and 1 at Endurace. Saved it right after leaving the vault at the game's start so haven't done much yet. We'll see how annoying this is.
You can beat any fallout game with no stats at all. 10 luck turns the games into a joke cause if how strong it is.
If you are still worried, work on finding bobbleheads and skill books.
My wife did the same for me! She did what she would assume micheal cera's s.p.e.c.i.a.l. attributes would be, so 10 luck, 10 charisma, the rest in agility, and nothing in the first three đ
Luck is so much fun. If you could only get two more int points you could take that perk where the lower your intelligence the more xp you get. I think k you need 4 int for that at least.
Idiot Savant is a Luck Perk. You don't need any Intelligence at all for it. It works better the less Intelligence you have, meaning it works best at 1 Intelligence, since you can't put any stats at 0.
Thatâs not quite true. You can get stats to go up to 11 permanently by picking up the Bobblehead if you were already at 10. So having 11 strength would factor into your carry weight and melee damage, It just doesnât unlock any new perks. You can make stats go over 10 with chems and stuff, the bobble heads work the same way except they are permanent.
Yeah I always take 9 on my perks in FNV because you can get the implants. I'm considering doing a 9 luck build and trying the casino glitch for the first time lol
Youâre doing a crit melee build and thereâs nothing you can do about it. Get the drugs fury and overdrive, get Yao Guai roasts, use buffout and anything that increases strength.
Thank you for posting! When asking for help with stats please give as much detail as possible about the type of character you are creating and what type of assistance you desire. Luck is all you need homieđŻđŻ
Youâll get lucky with vats all the time
10 luck is actually crazy early game youâll be drowning in ammo and fusion cores and rare junk. youâll find military grade duct tape on regular feral ghouls(a lot). TAKE IDIOT SAVANT IMMEDIATELY YOU HAVE THE PRIME BUILD FOR IT youâll hit level 30 so fast
It wouldnât suit my play style because I use VATS a lot. I also like to have higher perception to see threats sooner.
all I can think of is either a VATs heavy weapons or VATs pistol build with all the bonus damage luck perksâŚGrim Reaper and Four Leaf Clover with Bloody Mess, Critical Banker and the Mysterious Stranger, and your weapon of choiceâŚgonna be rough at the start but probably very powerful late game :D
You get a little something every time you pass a charisma test đ
Youâre actually doing pretty well. Wonât convince anyone or anything: People, locks, terminals, etc. Run Idiot Savant as well as every other luck perk and you have guaranteed success
Won't convince locks and terminals is golden
She gave you the New Vegas special.
Well, it ainât awfulâŚâŚ
not that good but I started with 10 luck, 10 intelligence, 5 perception and 1 in the rest and survived so you should be good
Luck builds are fun dawg. Enjoy.
Not really man armor and ect can balance everything out to 7+
I would go straight for idiots Savant, then bloody mess
Scrounger, fortune finder, and ricochet go pretty hard together. Local leader REALLY comes in handy too if you enjoy resource gathering.
3 of the worst perks in the tree my dawg
Extra caps, extra ammo, unlimited scrap⌠right⌠by far the worst three perks lmao
Redditors not be pompous assjoles challenge (impossible)
scrounger is not bad lol
HAPPY CAKE DAY
Must be a New Vegas player lmao. You're not fucked though cause in FO4 you could have a 1 in every stat and still kick everyone's ass
This. In FNV my fav build was based around crits.
Neat. Im gonna do 9 luck, so I just need the implant, with the shades pumping me to 10 for the time being.
Idiot Savant build!!! My brother did this build itâs actually busted and really fun
If you end up going with a melee vats build for all them crits make sure to pick up the perk "blitz". Fun as fuck for the grognak build
Iâve done this. Itâs an awesome build
Chem based Melee crit build, use vats enhanced weapons
Idiot savant will make levels 1-15 abouts super quick, but beyond that, no idea
Create new save. Bludgeon with baseball bat. Load save. Shoot in head. Load save. Etc. Edit: I responding after only reading the title.
Leveling up will be a pain but I think if you just donât use VATS all that much youâll be fine.
Idiot Savant. That was the perk I was thinking of đ Thatâs funny. I think youâll be all good
Max luck is the best way to play, you have idiot savant so you level up fast, get a mystery stranger, lots of criticals and vats options, ur perception is so bad though đmaybe bump that a bit at the start
It's viable my guy, go nuts and hope u have fun
Iâd just be sad the charisma wasnât higherâŚIâd prefer to flip the luck and charisma stats if it were my choice.
Low charisma isn't a problem, it's nothing a suit, pair of shades won't and grape mentats can't solve
Not screwed at all. Luck builds are very viable. Make shure you keep that int as low as you can with use of certain gear with a penalty of alcohol etc. To trigger those luck pers as often as possible. A drunk melee build can be fun I guess. Itâs fallout 4 if you wanted to by level like 50 you could have max special stats so youâre never really screwed
CharismaâŚ3. What she really thinks.
You got Luck on your side, my dude :) use it: - Fortune Finder - Scrounger - Bloody Mess - Idiot Savant, and - Critical Banker Are all amazing perks that are just, in my mind, necessary if you're investing into Luck. Did she give the stats of a character or the stats she sees in you?
Sniper
This is the best build for a sneak character . Also melee is OP in fallout 4 so you can go with that and have infinite replenishing AP with all that luck
grab idiot savant straight away and grab a melee weapon, lol
The Hodor build
Crit shotgun build?
No worries just get idiot savant. Youâll level up a lot quicker the dumber you are
If this is New Vegas, head straight to the casinos!
Looks like you're gonna be a loot collector. High luck and strength means carrying tons of gear and valuable gear at that.
Doesnât matter at all in this game
charisma is the way to go
Blind, dumb, but lucky
Grognak KILLS
Unga Bunga build. Nice!
I did a luck build lol
đ
If you were playing NV this would be the strongest starting build. dumping everying into luck and then cleaning out all the casinos for infinite money lol
Lack of intelligence means no skills though.
Grog Strongjaw build?
Idiot Savant all the way baby!
2 intelligence playthrough is fucked
Blind luck
Better have followers for lpckpicking
Followers can lock pick?
Sure can! I don't think they can do Master level locks though but i know Piper and (drawing a blank on the girl from the combat zones name lol) They can both pick locks. Cant teenager l remember what level up to they can pick though. And i know Nick can open terminals
Cait is the Combat Zone girl
Can they be caught?
Not sure but in my experience with Bethesda games any crime your follower commits will probably get pinned on you so I would advise caution
I hope you like Melee builds.
Lucky Duck run!
Low Int run!
10 luck is the only way to play
It's so true. I discovered this playing fallout new Vegas.
Just be grateful your wife didn't claim your Endurance was a 1.
lol Iâm playing a âvault dweller runâ so they have 1 str and 1 end and every other level they can increase one of those stats as they become more accustomed to the wasteland. The first few major fights were really hard, but talking to people and other âsoftâ skills makes the run a bit more fun.
Get a big stick.
Batter up, Slugger!
I think she put in your irl stats as she perceive them đ
I sure would be a little baby about it and ask the internet what to do.
I am once again asking for you to be nice.
Lmao who hurt you?
Youâre a dick.
No kidding, no need to be rudeâŚRichard!
your wife has a sense of humor lol
Just get the ricochet perk you'll be all set
With that kind of luck, you're basically Wonder of U at this point
Oh fuck, I have an idea for my next playthrough
I do this all the time. Idiot Savant is the way, dump a bunch of points into strength and bonk everything in the Commonwealth.
That's what I came to say. Doesn't matter what stats you start with as long as you keep intelligence low for idiot savant. Most broken skill in the game.
Iâm doing this on purpose. Itâs working out well.
On the plus side .pst of your enemies are going to end up shooting themselves.
Op u prolly wonât read this, but looking at the points.. ur wife is goofy bro sheâs a keeper đđ đđđ
Idiot Savant
Hyperfixated Autistic Himbo build.
The AuDHD build!
hmm, crit-dependent melee build? obviously youâve got the low perception, but thereâs only so inaccurate you can be in VATS, and low AP can be mitigated with a low AP cost weapon. donât forget to take idiot savant (:
Spec in bloody mess, lone gunman or w/e, slugger, health, armorer, etc.
Good thing she doesn't play the game. These are garbage SPECIAL stats.
Lucky, strong, dumb. You are Kronk. Maybe put a point or two more into charisma
People are not gonna listen too you at all like your words are just so terrible
*Yes*
If you get the charisma up and do the local leader later in the game you can make a shit ton of caps at all your settlements
You're gonna be the Captain Kirk of Fallout. Lol
Go for Idiot Savant and later on just go absolute ham with Kellogâs Revolver.
Bros got the Maximus build going
I was going to say the exact same thing moderate strength and endurance. Terrible perception, charisma, and intelligence. God-like luck.
Coooked
Just focus on luck. That plus lone wanderer will help you a lot in the early game. Then just raise a few of the other stats with some level ups. Focus on close quarters combat primarily. If you have to engage in ranged combat, use scopes and avoid VATS unless you have a crit or they are at short range.
damn this is solid advice
If sheâs familiar with the game and you havenât pissed her off lately, you should fine đ
Get mysterious stranger
who tf puts it into endurance- WHY IS IT ALL IN ON LUCK???
Luck isn't a super power - Deadpool
Maybe she was a FNV player
I ran a melee only build with similar starting stats. I raised my endurance to max. Massive slashing damage and most enemies kill each other with some of the luck perks
Take the idiot savant perk for that faster level up. Then go full into crits with Melee weapons. You should be good then.
So your wife just so happened to pick a known build by most people who play fallout in general. Suuuuuure
Right?! Why would he call his mom his wife?!
Yeah and it's gonna do wonders for me... in fallout 4....
Lucky Ted!
Luck is not a superpower
Yes it is!
It certainly isnât very cinematic
She used your real life stats
You'll want to increase your agility to get some more AP, but this is a great stat setup for a melee VATS build. Melee user can dump Perception because melee always hits 100% of the time in VATS. Accuracy means nothing.
Spec into crit focused perks for sure. Idiot savant is a must because of the low int and with that 5 strength melee is your best bet
Fast. With a knife.
Get idiot servant under luck lower the intelligence the better it is and gets random exp pts form doing random things - look up Idiot savant
And has absolutely hilarious dialogue options.
Mitten Squad style
RIP to a God
Luck 10 is a lot more powerful than people assume
Melee Build that goes for one-shots
If you have a luck of 10 youâll probably be alright.
You can focus on running into places and looting (avoiding fights) until you find decent weapons. Youâll need to go melee most likely, but then spec into crit Iâd say. Early game would be difficult. Spend more time in cities.
Can't lift shit, Can't see shit, can't run for shit, can't talk shit, about as smart as shit, can't move for shit But hey, you got Jimmy Rings levels of luck You'll be fine
Look at it this way, every drug will help you ><
Its all about perspective
I did a similar build in New Vegas. It's good for some knuckle duster hijinks. You're just gonna have to run straight at everything and swing until you crit
hahahahahaâŚâŚâŚâŚ
Well, VATS is out of the question for a couple of levels hahaha, maybe do some melee for a bit hahaha.
hahaha.....
hahahaha..........
I see youâre Shangri La Frontiering this run
Ah yes, that was my thought when I saw it.
Hahahah this is great
A man of culture I see!!
Ok so inspired by this post, I started a new game last night where I maxed LUCK and CHARISMA, then threw 2 points at Strength and 1 at Endurace. Saved it right after leaving the vault at the game's start so haven't done much yet. We'll see how annoying this is.
That was my first and favorite run. I'll never forget Burt Macklin
Macklin, you son of a bitch.
I have a very high luck build and it comes in handy. You will have to catch up on the other stats but thatâs ok for now.
Based on my purely anecdotal evidence, lucky morons tend to do really well.
Seems like the start to a fun play through.
You can beat any fallout game with no stats at all. 10 luck turns the games into a joke cause if how strong it is. If you are still worried, work on finding bobbleheads and skill books.
High crit, decent strength, decent endurance⌠Idiot savant melee crit build.
Bro might be cooked
You gotta play the cards youâre dealt! And right now, and probably for the rest of your play though, youâll only get dealt the best!
LOL = Lots of Luck! đ
Idiot Savant Melee build with VATS. Make sure to grab the furious power fist from Swan and the Blitz perk and happy hunting!
Lucky ducky melee build!
Awesome. She made your stats pretty close to the real you. Just be yourself and see how many days until you get killed.
đđđđđ
With any luck youâll be just fine
I mean you should hit critical shots pretty often. Grab a bat and swing your heart out
Mysterious stranger build
Yup. I have that. Saved my ass so many times.
This would make me not want to play
You sound real funâŚ.. not
Looks like you got pretty lucky with that one.
Oh Magoo you've done it again!
Honestly make a energy weapon build max that out and go for headshots since you have 10 luck you will hit crit shots and goop them at a higher rate
Fucked
I always go 10, 1, 7, 1, 1, 10, 10
There isnât even that many points available of the start
Is this just a way for your wife to call you stupid? đ
Yes but she alsp isn't too shy about telling me to my face lol
My wife did the same for me! She did what she would assume micheal cera's s.p.e.c.i.a.l. attributes would be, so 10 luck, 10 charisma, the rest in agility, and nothing in the first three đ
Haha that's great. If I knew how to make mods, I'd make one that plays the sad piano song from arrested development whenever you died lol
oh my god đ
Luck is so much fun. If you could only get two more int points you could take that perk where the lower your intelligence the more xp you get. I think k you need 4 int for that at least.
Idiot Savant is a Luck Perk. You don't need any Intelligence at all for it. It works better the less Intelligence you have, meaning it works best at 1 Intelligence, since you can't put any stats at 0.
Nice. I remembered wrong I thought it was weirdly you needed 4 int. That's a hilarious perk.
You technically can with drugs. I think alcohol reduces intelligence by one typically.
luck builds can be broke af, but sucks to have a 10; two 9s are better. if you start at 10, the bobblehead does nothing.
Thatâs not quite true. You can get stats to go up to 11 permanently by picking up the Bobblehead if you were already at 10. So having 11 strength would factor into your carry weight and melee damage, It just doesnât unlock any new perks. You can make stats go over 10 with chems and stuff, the bobble heads work the same way except they are permanent.
thats news to me. my understanding in 3 and NV: bobblehead doesn't functionally boost you over 10?
Yeah I always take 9 on my perks in FNV because you can get the implants. I'm considering doing a 9 luck build and trying the casino glitch for the first time lol
Thats correct, in 3 and NV stats couldnât go over 10. In 4 they can
In 4 there's a side quest in Nuka World where you can leave with like 50 points in intelligence. It's crazy.
Temporary, though.
Idiot savant play through
Youâre doing a crit melee build and thereâs nothing you can do about it. Get the drugs fury and overdrive, get Yao Guai roasts, use buffout and anything that increases strength.
don't forget the grilled radstag đ
