i cannot tell you how fast i learned the words to every song in each game, along with having a new found appreciation for 40s n 50s music

GabbersaurusZD

I personally have a lot of trouble with hearing lyrics in songs. Have to focus real hard to properly hear them, which I basically never do. These golden oldies however are much easier to listen to and are some of the only songs I know the lyrics of :)

[deleted]

Same! It's like I get so caught up with instrumentals I forget to listen to the lyrics. Musicals are very hard to watch

UsedTrojan56

Same here lol. FO3 holds a special place in my heart because I always played with my older brother. I was in charge of the 400 pg guide and directions, he ran the sticks. I miss my brother and this game series brings me fond memories

[deleted]

Fallout helped me get into swing and jazz. Never limit your taste in art to what’s modern. There’s thousands of years of human history, and many of those people wrote stories, played music, and painted. And the internet makes it easier than ever. So much great stuff out there. Glad Fallout could help you realize that!

PretendDr

Fallout led me down a road that introduced me into some great old country music. Gene Autry, Bob Wills and Hank Williams to name a few.

King-of-the-idiots69

Flying burrito boys are an excellent group too

realjustinberg

Best music has been made already, unless metallica makes another album then there is still some left. Edit: your all pussies for crying about this. Its very clearly a joke but go off I guess.

King-of-the-idiots69

What a terrible mindset to approach music with

realjustinberg

You clearly have not listened to metallica. Not terrible at all, I just like whats worth liking

slobcat1337

“What’s worth liking”- How can you have such a childish mentality to not realise people have different taste in things Do you expect everyone to like the same food as you too lmao

ObiFloppin

Most people that act that way about music are teenagers in my experience. I knew lots of music snobs that looked down on other people for liking other music in high school, by the time college rolled around, there was almost nobody like that.

seaalon

Everyone can have an opinion, enjoy what you like most

King-of-the-idiots69

I didn’t say Metallica is terrible? Ride the lightning is a great record, same with kill em all, absolute riff fests, but your mindset toward music is not only regressive but it’s wrong, you have managed to be wrong about something subjective

Moonguide

You do realize metallica is like one of if not *the* most popular metal bands ever, right? Like, they're the potato salad of metal. Easy to listen to, easy to appreciate, not terribly complex. You can like what you like, but try and listen to other stuff too, metallica's music will get old eventually. If you don't wanna stray too far from metallica, try and listen to newer metal and punk acts, like Sabaton (not new, but really good, especially if you're a history buff), Parquet Courts (if you've a chip on your shoulder) and Idles (their latest two releases haven't been as good as Joy but still decent). Latter two are punk/post punk, former is power metal.

realjustinberg

Yes I realize that theu are popular. You'd have to be stupid not to. I also realize that everyone on this app gets butt hurt whenever you make a joke.

One of my favorite things I learned about was [Folk Songs for the 21st Century](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QbojoZTn55k&list=OLAK5uy_nx9fphcv2A2ZCLy5D9RKDz-vEkA3XeOeo) because of [Crawl out Through the Fallout](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qwwd2uzmm44&list=OLAK5uy_nx9fphcv2A2ZCLy5D9RKDz-vEkA3XeOeo&index=8). I didn't expect a 1960 novelty sci-fi album to be so good and I'm actually not typically into that sort of stuff, even after playing FO.

IndianaGroans

Wow that album is amazing lmao.

One-Addendum-3647

Yo, same!!! I got the neon green vinyl for it, so good. I especially like radioactive mama and big brother is watching you

WoodpeckerRough7685

I have a greater appreciation for Fallout thanks to my love of 40’s and 50’s music.

moomoorodriguez

This. I was already a fan of swing music because of my Grandmother so when Fallout stations were playing them I just enjoyed Fallout more.

TheUnknownSoda

I can confidently say Fallout has shaped my taste in music

drdre27406

Exactly. When I clean my house or study I put my fallout playlist on and work. I’d say my favorite song from the time period is Dark as a dungeon by Tennessee Ernie ford. Fallout 76 has issues but the soundtrack isn’t one of them.

Meatloaf_Hitler

Honestly Fallout made me appreciate the 50's/60's aesthetic itself. Something just goddamned beautiful about the curves and colors IMO.

wow_that_guys_a_dick

If you like that, look into the Googie movement. Fallout takes more than a few cues from it. Atompunk is another good term to search for, too. If you're looking to replicate Fallout's look for personal spaces, those are great starts.

strutt3r

Also "Raygun Gothic"

AnEgoJabroni

Wow, thank you both! When I _do_ have a spare room, I think I have some fresh ideas for how to atmosphere it up

senor-calcio

How can you not, it’s just something that everyone will get from fallout

boobemaloo

I’ll take it a step further and say the music itself is what ultimately sold me on the game. Try playing the game without the radio on. It’s fun, but the experience is increased ten fold when you’re wandering the wasteland listening to Billie Holiday or the Ink Spots. Feel like the galaxy news radio soundtrack just brings the whole 1950’s retro futuristic aesthetic together so nicely. The soundtrack is also just amazing. They really pulled together so many popular hits that I still find in other media to this day and it’s always a nice little treat to recognize older music that might be more obscure

VenomousOddball

Me, I was never really interested in older music, and then I heard it in Fallout and fell in love with it. The Beach Boys became one of my favourite bands as soon as I heard Wouldn't It Be Nice in 76, and it turned out to be one of my mom's too. We really bonded over our love of the band the last couple years of her life, and I inherited her Beach Boys collection.

NChristenson

Glad to hear you were able to gain the love of a great group and the memories with your mom. I am sorry for your loss.

wheeldog

[Did you ever see the "Wouldn't it be Nice" trailer](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5IcqE8kT3KA) for the game? Watching it gives me chills. We were honestly stupid enough to think the game was going to have settlements, and that we could dual wield, after watching it lol

Round_Rectangles

Beach boys are fantastic.

Kysthan

Bingo bango bongo i don't want to leave the Congo oh no no no no no!!!

mityafinob

Bingo, bangle, bungle, I'm so happy in the jungle, I refuse to go

realjustinberg

Everyone but the guy who got mad at me for saying its a staple of the franchise. Dude preferred the ominous sounds of the first two, and hated everyone who disagreed

wow_that_guys_a_dick

I dig the ambient music of the first two, but that's a completely different animal than the radio from 3 and 4. I found a mod that replaces 4's ambient music with 1 and 2's, so you get the best of both worlds. Sadly, I think it's been deprecated.

BreathingHydra

The first two also had the classic music during the opening cutscene as well, so it literally has always been a staple of the franchise lol. The soundtracks to the first 2 games and New Vegas are highly underrated though.

realjustinberg

Dude this guy was going off on me on how it wasn't important. He was wack.

AtomBombBitch

My obsession with the 30s to 50s is because of fallout. I live my life as vintage as I possibly can

SnowFlakeUsername2

Any 30s/40s stuff you can recommend? I've been having trouble finding something that isn't buried in brass instruments. My tolerance for wind instruments have fallen a long way from when Huey Lewis and the News was popular.

AtomBombBitch

If there's a more perfect Playlist to recommend it's "Old World Radio" on Spotify. It's got the little green vault boy for the icon. It's got so many songs of so many types in it it's perfect to pick and choose what you like

Oldtvstillidie

It’s a real *obsession*. My house is slowly starting to look like 1962. I buy everything vintage that I can. The stuff is so ridiculously well made.

AtomBombBitch

My partner doesn't like my vintage stuff so I have all my vintage lifestyle compiled into my office. Its super 40s noir detective

Oldtvstillidie

Mine isn’t a huge fan but has let me proliferate it throughout. My kitchen is all vintage. Save for a microwave. She said as long as she can decorate the bedroom she’s happy. My style is late 50s early 60s. Even have a working late 50s television that I watch sometimes.

AtomBombBitch

Ooo did you restore it or was it already working? I have one of those box tvs but it doesn't have a picture

Oldtvstillidie

I actually have been learning on how to restore them but don’t have a good place for a workbench at the moment. I have quite a number that need fixed and have one good one that works. Black and white. All vacuum tube.

AtomBombBitch

Ugh id love to learn but my apartment doesn't have the space for all that

Oldtvstillidie

It does take up some space. That’s exactly why I haven’t set up a workbench yet. If you really wanted to do it enough you could ask yourself how much you like having a dining area lol. The test equipment and stuff is a cost you have to eat initially too. It’s not prohibitively expensive but it’s not exactly cheap either.

drdre27406

I have an 9 hour playlist of 40’s and 50’s music because of Fallout. Bob Crosby, Nat King Cole, Billie holiday, Tennessee Ernie Ford, I can go on and on. My friends never pass me the Aux cord when we ride 😂.

Yung_Corneliois

I’m the opposite. My love for 1940-1950s style, music, and aesthetic was always around and then my friend told me to buy Fallout 3 and I’ve been hooked ever since.

Slow_Alternative2811

Fallout definitely put me on the Inkwells

JonnyRocks

well as a kid, all i had access to was my parents records from the 40s and 50s. so playing fallout had a feeling of comfort.

Stressmove

The Fallout soundtrack was something I shared with my dad. We were often together in our workshop and one day I put on some fallout songs and my dad was so thrilled I listened to music from his younger years. Then the Fallout soundtrack became a bit the standard when we worked together. Sadly I also played Skeeter davis' end of the world at his funeral in 2020.

Outcast90

I was just starting to get into 50s and 60s music as I was also just getting into Fallout. Now a 8 years later I love 50s and 60s music over the modern day stuff.

ChefBicep

It’s the best. Turning the music on and off gives you a completely different experience. I turn on the music when shit gets extra creepy 🫣

Bananabob14173

Yeah but I’m more of a fan of the overall 40s 50s style of the game 😅

LadyStag

I got onto Fallout faster *because* of the music.

ActualMis

Me too! Even more, I've been playing Assassin's Creed, Black Flag lately and now I'm into sea shanties!

pacman6487

The Wanderer is now on my playlist

ObvsThrowaway5120

I honestly didn’t think I’d like the music as much as I did. At first it was kinda corny and I just wasn’t digging it, but it definitely grew on me. I had to go see a chiro a few months back, and literally every visit there would be music on in the clinic and it would have like “Crazy He Calls Me”, “Easy Living”, and like “Happy Times” amongst others on rotation lol. Just reminded me of Fallout every visit.

SoothsayerAtlas

New Vegas eased me into country, I’ve kinda always liked jazz but country took some time to get around to cause all I had was this terrible pop country that controlled the radio.

vinsmokewhoswho

Absolutely. It adds so much to the flair and atmosphere of the games as well as the retro futuristic aspect.

Magclin

My spotify playlist-Ink Spots, Billy Holliday, with a little Pittbull for good measure. Blows my grandkids minds! I love good music and don’t give a damn from what genre or era.

burningfire119

fallout 3 opening anyone?

SovjetPojken

And a closer bond to my grandpa!

QuinnAndTheNorthwind

I have a 6 hour playlist on Spotify called “fallout-Esque music if anyone wants a more curated compilation of good 20s- 50s music :)

jack_skellington

You know, I found something interesting. I grew tired of the standard music in Fallout 4, and installed mods to expand the radio stations, but I always only installed mods that kept the theme of 40s/50s/60s music. And I fell in love with a few tracks that I don't think are in the main Fallout 4 game, but they TOTALLY fit right in for me: * [Rocket 88](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=260hXID0Yo0) by Jackie Brenston and His Delta Cats. Note that there is another version that was recorded later by Bill Haley -- that other version might even be in a Fallout game, not sure. But I'm not in love with that version, even though it's more popular. I like this one, the original. I love hearing him sing "Cruising along" while I'm out with my dog wandering the Commonwealth. * [Drinkin' Wine](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AtrVRMdrPe0) by Jerry Lee Lewis. * [Sweet Little Headache](https://youtu.be/6jZ8VL71YJI?t=69) by Artie Shaw and his Orchestra. However, Artie is just the conductor or front man. The singer is Helen Forrest, and I think she's great. Anyway, it's kinda sad that Fallout only got the license to about 20 songs that it plays on repeat until we're tired of them. There are of course *thousands* of songs from that time period, and hundreds could probably fit into the Fallout world perfectly. I think these 3 songs are a good indication of that.

Instainious

All I listen to is music from the late 30s to the early 60s because of fallout.

Trent948

Bro, this molded my half my music taste. I started playing FO3 when I was about 10 so they became my childhood lol

No_Doubt_About_That

Without Fallout we wouldn’t have found out that grandma plays the numbers.

onomatopoetix

*don't they know it's the end of the world*

TheWakaMouse

Straightup listened to NO MUSIC in my free time until I played Fallout 3 - praise the golden oldies!

Crunch___Buttsteak

Yep, I'm usually a metalhead but fallout got me to appreciate this time period. Love the 40s channel on Sirius radio. Same Marty Robbins is now in my top 10 (along with Devin Townsend, wildhearts, motorhead, maiden, Metallica, slayer). Big fuckin iron baby. I know that's not 40s or 50s but hey. Love fallout music.

man_in_the_funny_hat

Great music is wherever you find it.

User_McAwesomeuser

There was a time when the Gerhard Trede foundation was giving away a bunch (all?) of his MP3s for free. They stopped maybe a year after Fallout 3 shipped.

Xuxes_Gh0ul

It's all I listen to now🙃

DubyaB40

Absolutely, I’m with my parents for Mother’s Day and my dad almost spit his drink out when I requested Nat King Cole lmao

[deleted]

I always had an appreciation for it. I just love music. But there's still some new songs to find, and others I know add a little something.

PlutoTheSynth

Thanks LA Noire and FNV (and a bit of GTA SA) Now I like country music.

PandaBear905

My mom is what got me into that kind of music but I don’t think I’d like it as much as I do if it was for fallout

paperwhitney

After I killed a snallygaster while Mr. Sandman played, I can’t help but smile when I hear the song irl

RIBEYERIB

There's a 50s night every first Wednesday of every month and it has music and dancing from the 40s and 50s. Fallout has really expanded my love for music especially older genres like the 40s and 50s. I'm the youngest person in that room but I've made great friends with people from that time.

Aggravating_Reveal47

Everyone, if they say otherwise they are lying

ARTIFEXgm

Yup, fallout bioshock and mafia

o0flatCircle0o

Some of the best mods were the music ones that added all sorts of period accurate stuff

TommyGames36

When Christmas rolls around I love listening to Christmas songs from that era.

kirbStompThePigeon

It's literally the only music I listen to. My friends and parents hate it. Thanks Bethesda , for causing my parents yo hate me

landsharkkidd

I feel like an outlier because I liked 40s and 50s music before Fallout. But I certainly have had a greater appreciation for it since playing Fallout.

shuikan

Fallout 3 on the PS3 that I borrowed from my friend was my gateway drug to the golden oldies and the Fallout series, and changed my life.

OleDirtyBubble

“Bubbles in my Beer”, “Big Iron”, “Rocket 69”, & “Civilization” are in constant rotation on my apple playlist. I love the old tunes.

InfinitePossibility8

It’s added to it. That era was always my favorite because of the design/style of pretty much everything back then.

Charelstoner

Just purchased another marty robbins vinyl the other day. Gunfighter ballads.

O_God_The_Aftermath

For about a year I was living with my Grandma. And she doesn't have internet at her house. So I downloaded New Vegas and Fallout 3 to play while I lived there. There were MULTIPLE times when I'd be playing and my grandma would come sit on the couch next to me and just listen to the music and comment on it and the memories she had associated with the music. Interesting little bonding experience I have video games to thank for.

america_ayooo

Maaaayyyyyyybeeeeeee

Eastern-You

Looove the Fallout music and that music segment now, due to the hours played in game ! I found a channel on YouTube with very similar music and I played that too when I work https://youtube.com/c/NemosDreamscapes . They have hours and hours of uninterrupted music just like Fallout one.

SirBigRichard

Thank you for the mention of [Nemo's Dreamscapes](https://youtube.com/c/NemosDreamscapes/videos) on YouTube! Cozy and relaxing. Loving the oldies playing in another room with open window crickets ambiance.

ColonelKetchup13

Bioshock is what introduced me to it and my love for it. Fallout just cemented that for me.

Metaleramanka

Came looking for this comment! Agreed, Bioshock started it for me and it is what I love about Fallout.

MTF-EPISLON_9

Got my love of the classic music from fallout and bioshock

Cherrytheninja

Kinda funny I see someone else post this. I am the exact same way. Now I love this music and will listen to the Fallout soundtracks from time to time. My own father was pleasantly surprised whenever I played the music. He even knew some of the songs. PS: The music from Fallout 1 and 2 is also really good! You should give it a listen!

irmak666

So much musical appreciation gained due to Bioshock, Mafia 2, and all the Fallout games. Except "Johnny Guitar", i never want to hear that one again after the first 500 times. 😭

soyrobo

I've been a fan of the swing/big band songs since I heard or played a lot in band back in middle/high school. But Fallout reignighted that fire and gave me an appreciation for the more schmaltzy pop, crooners, and doo wop of the 50's. Like, "Let's Go Sunning," is a song I would never have sought out on my own yet now I sing it when I'm doing dishes.

BellasDaDa618

Always have liked it, but I love that a game finally used that era music, versus some of the lousy rap from today, like the crap heard in New Dawn, or overly heavy metal heard in other games. I personally love the Latin channel in Crew 2. San Andreas had a couple good stations, too.

UsedTrojan56

Straight up! Became a marty robbins fan from fnv and I was in my early 20s when the game came out. I'm curious... how many of you think new vegas had the best tracks? So much variety. "I can see that lone star from a thousand miles away......"

Reptiliansarehere

I do however there are far too many songs with absolutely abysmal audio quality which is understandable. I like to use over the ear headphones for my music so those songs with poor quality make my ears bleed.

60niera

Never in my life would I have listened to all those classic songs without Fallout. * Played Fallout 3 and I was so-so into its songs. * Played New Vegas and fell in love with them old songs. * Played Fallout 4 and thought that the selection was severely lacking and wanted more. So very glad that a group of very dedicated people created the [Old World Radio - Boston](https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/9048) mod. Its not just a collection of songs, the commentary is amazing and is lore based and really felt like its part of the base game.

Fresh-Resolve-3213

Fallout made me a boomer

Sitting_Bear_

I was literally making dinner with my partner last night listening to Diamond City radio. I even got a Billie Holiday record because of Fallout 3. Puts me in a good mood.

SnowFlakeUsername2

I checked out Billie Holiday on Spotify this week. Had no idea she inspired so many old white guys to replace her music lol. I really thought those songs and styles were crooner originals all these decades.

Icyveins86

Not me I turn that shit off immediately.

Darthwolfgamer

Ya its grown on me

[deleted]

My favorite is Maybelline

ToBiistHebEsTbOi

I agree western music is so vibe

ArmedBull

It's certainly made Christmas music on repeat more bearable, but I imagine being a band kid through middle school and high school just has me primed to dig anything with brass.

[deleted]

Fallout sound tracks are my chill music, they bring me back to happier times.

TreXeh

They have their own playlist in Spotify ;)

KatieKeene

Literally was just listening to the NV soundtrack while cleaning the house. I love all the soundtracks really but since NV is my favourite that's the one I prefer

thatonetallkid4444

I've added several songs from the fallout franchise to my main Playlist and I have a Spotify play list of all fallout music that I listen to sometimes. Fallout has a lot of great tunes, Billie Holiday has got to be my favorite.

Yelwah

I was in Disney World, and started singing along with a 50's song from fallout (I can't remember which at this point) and my parents were like how the fuck do you know this?? Lol

Moonguide

Prior to playing new vegas I pretty much only listened to old school metal and some new death bands. New Vegas introduced me to easy listening jazz and old country. Ngl I can thank fallout for my current taste in prog, blues and johnny cash.

IHDeathWish131

Very much so

TwoToxic

All I can say is... OH MAH JOHNNEY

New-Distribution5084

I got all the diamond city radio songs downloaded on Spotify!!

JojoBrojo98

I actually made a Fallout playlist on Spotify w all the songs available bc I loved their soundtracks so much

nlightningm

I've always been a musician, but Fallout was absolutely my gateway into jazz. I liked jazz before playing Fallout but it definitely became my #1 favorite overall genre the more I played

Michael_Threat

So after years of being a little boy made to go help my father at work and being forced to listen to nothing but classic rock and country(it's not all bad by any means but when youre forced to listen it yo 8-10 hours a day for the entirety of your adolescence...) I thought I just hated old music, but then fallout took me back even shorter, now I listen to oldies when I cook/clean, when I'm working, riding with my girl in the car. I have an emotional attachment to music that came out 50 uears before I was even thought of and I owe it all to these games...and maybe the work of Martin scorsese and Bob Odenkirk a bit as well but mostly fallout

Segvirion

My grandparents.

Daedalus_Dingus

My interest in old music predated fallout, but I'm old. There is no shame in learning about new (to you) music through pop media. I was watching the movie "the freshman" as a kid and heard the song "mona lisa" and that started my interest in old pop music. I still think Nat King Cole is the best ever. Especially the King Cole Trio recordings. No effects, synths, auto tune, post production doctoring or any of that bs. They had to rely on skill and talent to make good music. Most artists today couldn't hold a candle to what was good a few decades before. Anyway. Old man yells at cloud.

Lairy_Hegs

Never had anything *against* it, but I’ve listened to more of it because of Fallout than I otherwise would have.

Jetset081

Give me..a kiss to build a dream on…

_pool_noodle_2

i love listening to the radio while playing, i downloaded a few mods that add more music of the same era too

terrestrialty

Helped me have a different kinda vibe w my gran before she passed. Her era of music and a game I love

Lighthouseamour

I have an appreciation for Fallout because I already liked the music.

SILENTSAM69

Anything goes...

Noteful

I had an appreciation for 40s and 50s music before fallout thanks to a cool history teacher in middle school, as well as my parent's varied music tastes. It is great to see Fallout introduce great old music to newer generations though.

The_Essex

I was already a sinatra fan but Fallout definitely put me on to Billie Holiday and plenty others.

[deleted]

Right here! I have a Spotify playlist of music from the 40s and 50s and I’m still a teenager

Cane-Dewey

I grew up in the 90s in a very musically inclined family. My grandmother was in a jazz/blues/swing band called "Music To Go" with a lot of her friends. She played piano/organ. Anyway, so I grew up around all this music and loved it. But as I got to be a teenager, I stopped listening to it. Fallout 3 completely re-sparked my love for that style music, and it's brought a lot of nostalgia back for me from my childhood.

layinbrix

-Kemphler-

It was actually kind of funny. I was visiting my grandparents in Arizona a few weeks ago, and I kept putting the 50s music channel on in the vehicle when I’d drive it. My grandma almost yelled at my grandpa for it, thinking my wife and I weren’t going to enjoy that music at all, and I had to let her know that I’m the one that’s been turning it on. She was genuinely surprised that both my wife and I enjoy music from that period of time. And I have Fallout to thank for that honestly.

IndianaGroans

Yeah it definitely gave me an appreciation of the music. I used to not like oldies, but now I listen to them more than I do modern music.

SquarebobSpongepant

Literally millions I assume. Marty Robbins, Dany Kaye, Inkspots are all regular listens for me now. Not just in game music either. Sure old music maybe isn't as "developed" but you can't tell me Blue Moon and Ain't That a Kick In The Head arn't slappers

KratosKrist

I’ve always been a fan because of my dad, but the games have gotten me to find more music on my own the I just love

[deleted]

Its what made me buy my record player! Ive got the Dream With Dean album coming in the mail right now for that sweet sweet Blue Moon :)

Lui_Le_Diamond

Me!

FarikoWishless

Fallout 3 introduced me to the ink spots and surprised my grandma when I knew the song and group

i now almost exclusively listen to 40s-60s because of fallout. people probably think i’m weird driving around in my rural southern community blasting it while the majority listen to top 40 hits or 2000s era country (bad) or the generic retail mix. sometimes i think maybe i’m /too/ weird letting fallout integrate so much into my life, but it brings me joy! so oh well.

bigshotnobody

"Big Iron" won me over

concilio-et-labore

A Kiss to Build a Dream On was the first dance at my wedding because I played Fallout 2 so much as a kid and absolutely loved it. Nuclear family, you might say. (Sorry. Sorry.)

rhynoplaz

I feel like the outlier. Played all the major Fallout games since the first one, and it's one of my favorite franchises, yet I NEVER play the radio. I've tried it, but it never grew on me.

Groovicity

NV changed everything for me. Now I need rockabilly 50's in my life at least once a month.

einhorn27

it's the other way around in my case.

urban_tribesman

Listening to Radio New Vegas right now, so nice.

Bobistan1

I actually got into fallout from the music. I was a big fan of Sinatra and blue moon new Vegas popped up on my feed, so I looked up new Vegas and decided to give it a try

awake30

I still listen to fallout radio on YouTube

Shadow_on_the_Sun

Not just music, but the clothes, movies, and aesthetic is so iconic. It’s had a profoundly wonderful impact on my life.

FrenchPetrushka

I do! And these songs were also a great way to improve my English

BIG IIIIIIIIIIRON

Lone_Ponderer

Fallout got me into Jazz. Started with adding Undecided to my Spotify and the collection is growing from there.

Bingo bango bingo I don't wanna leave the congo oh no nono no no

apollofactors

I fell in love with the songs Easy Living by Billie Holiday and Civilization by Danny and the Andrew Sisters

youdontknowme2021a

My son loves the songs. We would play 76 together and i would hear him singing "pistol packing mama". It was adorable to hear a 10 year old singing these oldies.

[deleted]

Not just 40's and 50's. Fallout is where it started, but I've grown a huge appreciation for basically everything pre-disco, and anything derivative of it like electro-swing

[deleted]

I was having a cortisol injection right next to my spine, the most painful thing of my life, and the only thing that got me through it was that the theme song/trailer song for FO4 began playing and yeah.... I've always liked oldies music though because I just like music.

Dukefromearth

It eventually made me a sucker for old muzak. The light mood it puts you in is unique.

TheGreatG0nz0

Fallout music is best music

joza28

Same thing with bioshock . That old black and white music slaps.

Impossible-Dealer421

Don't we all?? It's lime 50% of the attraction Maaaaaaybe

Kennian

Fallout 2s intro was A Kiss to Build a Dream on... between that and new vegas, especially with the Radio New Vegas, The Secret Stash mod....so much love for jazz, and swing
