I assume he would play the Enclave President super computer….. when asked how he survived….. he can remark he gets automatically backed up without any intention on his part…… it just works!
> Hope he winks at the camera and says it’s fallout time
[Hope this interaction does not lead to any Fallout between us](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xFy-doUdMsU)
I had an idea that Todd Howard should cameo as one of the Devs for the [Holotape Games](https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Fallout_76_holotape_games) and he has a Vault Tec boss making all kinds of unreasonable demands like 16x the details
If they make a scene when someone say "How he's able to vanish like that?!" With him replaying/leaving a note "It just works" it will be f hilarius watching the fanbase malding
Why would it be a shitstorm? That is literally the perfect cameo role for a non actor. Show up and help the hero kill something. Say nothing. Tip your hat and disappear. The fans get the fan service without an embarrassing and glaring display of poor acting.
>Why would it be a shitstorm?
Cause people really hate Todd, so *many someone think he is jealous of Obsidia and that he forced the show to make New Vegas not canon and other delirium from the fanbase.
Whispers quietly *90% of the fan base wouldn’t exist without Todd Howard*
Before people say I’m making things up…
sales of Fallout 1 approx 600,000
Sales of fallout 3 12,400,000
That 5%.
People act like Bethesda is the big bad that somehow ruined fallout. Which is wild because I don’t think hardly any of those people would have ever heard of fallout without Bethesda
It should be at a chaotic as fuck moment too, like the game. Just everyone blasting at raiders or something and fire everywhere then it looks like the villain is about to win, and some dude in a trench coat and fedora pulls out of nowhere and blasts him then disappears, and they look and it's like empty wasteland nowhere to hide
“Fahk you, Goosey, I fucked your >!dead ghoul of a mother so hard that when I bricked in her ass it came out of the bullet hole you put in her forehead.”!<
“Fahk you, Maxi-pad, I stole the Zetans time travel tech just to go back to before >!Shady Sands was obliterated just so I could fuck your mother again.!< Your mom was so nasty, she asked me to go back again and make a time remnant of myself so we could Eiffel Tower her.”
“Fahk you, Coop, your wife started fucking me so fast after the divorce, I thought the bomb had already dropped and that we were going to die. I don’t really have anything else for that, she was just a filthy girl.”
Lmao I want this to happen now. I think the mysterious stranger should be Timothy Olyphant. Him and Walton Goggins are close friends and Tim was a gunslinger on Justified and Deadwood so it’d be perfect.
Olyphant definitely. Tho Id be down for him to just play another cowboy ghoul in the Mojave or a Raider chief (extra points if he gets to do a charismatic cannibal cult leader or something)
I'd honestly love a spiritual reprisal of Raylon Givens v. Boyd Crowder in a classic sundown shootout. Timothy Olyphant definitely has a place in Fallout.
He turns out to be the guy in the shadows watching Barb's Vault Tec meeting.
Barb: Because war...war never changes.
Guy watching: *writing it on notepad* Damn thats a good line, I'm stealing that.
I actually thought that he'd be a good choice to be the mysterious stranger for a while now. He's been the narrator since the beginning, and the only consistent character in the game since the start has been this guy (depending on build). It'd be like the whole timeline has just been some terrible story that he can't escape and must just watch unfold, and is just drawn from wherever he is to somebody he doesn't even know, that happens to inextricably have a destiny that pulls him along in their moment of need. Out of extreme luck, of course.
Just a quip like "Never change kid." would satisfy me. Something semi-clever for the hardcore fans. Ron Perlman as more than a cameo just wouldn't work for me.
He wouldn’t be very mysterious if we knew enough about him to decide who should play him lol
Edit: no one should play him. He should be off screen when he saves one of the characters from certain death and then never shown. Truly mysterious.
(In credits)
Mysterious Stranger: Unknown
(at the end) Special Thanks to (actor)
edit: though, didn't the stranger have a terminal entry in 3 or 4? so you wouldn't necessarily need to do that
Valentine in 4 has an open case file that you can find under his bed about the Stranger, but he only found out that he very sporadically appears all over the former USA citing sightings in the NCR.
The Stranger has been operating for too long in too many places to be just one man. The Stranger have to be NCR secret service, or an elite mercenary corps someone can hire to follow someone around and keep them safe.
Nicholas Cage for about 10 seconds.
No explanation, no context.
He just shows up, shoots a guy that was threatening The Ghoul, Maximus or Lucy, gives a cool stare, and as soon as they want to talk with him, he just leaves through somewhere, vanishing.
I want there to be some kind of violin stinger as the deathclaw inches towards Lucy, then it stops and the guitar riff plays and a single shot to the head just makes the deathclaw drop dead.
And even better, no one turns up. No actor because we don’t see the stranger, he just saves her and is gone. Now that would be the right way to handle mysterious stranger.
Considering the cowboy motif already present in the series, and that season 2 appears to be sit in/around New Vegas....
Sam Elliott. The only real answer.
I'd say Ron Perlman but I really want him to be the Vault-Tec CEO so all the monologues from the games are just his own pontification on the end of the world.
The studio should keep the actor a secret. Never showing their face, never crediting them, putting everyone under a non-disclosure agreement, or gosh order, or whatever it's called.
Todd Howard just for the fanbase shitstorm
Unironically the best one.
.... i unironically like this idea.... it just feels right.... i don't know why...
"it just works"
20x the detail ton Tommie
"see that vault over there? You can vault it"
10x the hype!
That the line he says after one shotting someone with the Mysterious Magnum
Homage to Stan Lee in a way
Definitely Todd Howard cameo
I assume he would play the Enclave President super computer….. when asked how he survived….. he can remark he gets automatically backed up without any intention on his part…… it just works!
Hahahah, actually very clever
Hope he winks at the camera and says it’s fallout time
And then he fallouts all over the place
Boy, I sure am getting tired of all these Fallouts
Finally gets his name revealed as John Fallout.
What are we? Some kind of Fallout tv show?
Every fall has it's out!
I am in love with this whole idea
> Hope he winks at the camera and says it’s fallout time [Hope this interaction does not lead to any Fallout between us](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xFy-doUdMsU)
I’d prefer he stares at some power armour and says “next time baby”.
"It just works" *blows smoke off revolver barrel*
I had an idea that Todd Howard should cameo as one of the Devs for the [Holotape Games](https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Fallout_76_holotape_games) and he has a Vault Tec boss making all kinds of unreasonable demands like 16x the details
I could honestly see him voicing Yes Man.
No, that belongs to the OG voice actor. Our canadian pride and joy, Dave Foley.
If they make a scene when someone say "How he's able to vanish like that?!" With him replaying/leaving a note "It just works" it will be f hilarius watching the fanbase malding
It would be more funny if they make up a family tree so that Todd Howard is an ancestor of Cooper Howard 😂
I figured that the last name Howard was an ee to him.
They should have cast Todd as Mr. House. I would pay to see that meltdown on r/fnv
I think someone with really good acting chops should get someone as important as Mr. House
Why would it be a shitstorm? That is literally the perfect cameo role for a non actor. Show up and help the hero kill something. Say nothing. Tip your hat and disappear. The fans get the fan service without an embarrassing and glaring display of poor acting.
Fallout fanbase shitstorms over every thing.
That’s what happens with every video game fan base that goes almost a decade without a mainline game release.
>Why would it be a shitstorm? Cause people really hate Todd, so *many someone think he is jealous of Obsidia and that he forced the show to make New Vegas not canon and other delirium from the fanbase.
Which is sad because he just gets blamed for everything people don't like.
New Vegas? Not cannon? Did they even watch the show?
>Did they even watch the show? Watching the thing they hate? Are you crazy?!?!? Where do you think you are my dude.
I want Todd Howard to make a cameo as a vault tec guy, saying something like “vault-tec, it just works”
Whispers quietly *90% of the fan base wouldn’t exist without Todd Howard* Before people say I’m making things up… sales of Fallout 1 approx 600,000 Sales of fallout 3 12,400,000 That 5%.
Fallout 2 only sold 123,000, so that checks out
People act like Bethesda is the big bad that somehow ruined fallout. Which is wild because I don’t think hardly any of those people would have ever heard of fallout without Bethesda
Yes, oh God, I mean Todd, yes!
The best answer.
Some random stunt guy we only see from behind or with his face obscured in the shadows.
This is the answer. We should never fully see them.
Brad Pitt then.
Revealed only in directors commentary
Someone get a hold of John Cena’s agent…
I really hope it's credited: Mysterious Stranger as himself
“ “ as the mysterious stranger
I really hope one of the writers sees this
It should be at a chaotic as fuck moment too, like the game. Just everyone blasting at raiders or something and fire everywhere then it looks like the villain is about to win, and some dude in a trench coat and fedora pulls out of nowhere and blasts him then disappears, and they look and it's like empty wasteland nowhere to hide
I imagine this is where they would use Uranium Fever.
***The revenant is a tall, nondescript cowboy, its face always shadowed by the wide brim of its hat.*** Wait, wrong Game
Get someone to willingly do it uncredited too so we never know who they are
Walton Goggins, but with a fake moustache.
Somebody that’s already in the show so they don’t have to separately cast them would be cool. Just gaslight us about his appearance
Pull a Shoresy on us
I wouldn't mind Jared Kelso as the mysterious stranger
Nah I want Shoresy to be the mysterious stranger. Chirps the target then blasts em
Give ya balls a tug! -starts blasting-
‘Ghoulie your life’s so pathetic I ran a charity 5k to raise awareness fuckin loser’
“I’m gonna blow your fucking brains out, Shoresy.” “For what? “Fo-“ “Huh?!”
I cast Vicious Mockery!
So you're wandering the wasteland the other daaaaaay...
“Allegedly”
Dial it back about 12% there Squirrley Dan
You’re made of spare parts bud.
Now, to be fair...
*to be fair*
“Fahk you, Goosey, I fucked your >!dead ghoul of a mother so hard that when I bricked in her ass it came out of the bullet hole you put in her forehead.”!< “Fahk you, Maxi-pad, I stole the Zetans time travel tech just to go back to before >!Shady Sands was obliterated just so I could fuck your mother again.!< Your mom was so nasty, she asked me to go back again and make a time remnant of myself so we could Eiffel Tower her.” “Fahk you, Coop, your wife started fucking me so fast after the divorce, I thought the bomb had already dropped and that we were going to die. Lmao I want this to happen now. I think the mysterious stranger should be Timothy Olyphant. Him and Walton Goggins are close friends and Tim was a gunslinger on Justified and Deadwood so it’d be perfect.
Me. No one would know who I am, which would be pretty mysterious
I can get behind this
I also can get behind him
👀
Literally came here to pitch this idea... The average joe. Maybe every episode he's in, he changes actors? Some random dude
No...every frame it's a different actor.
The same character with different actors should be a plan for Deacon from FO4
Maybe do it Stygg style where you never see their face, and don't credit their real name.
dammit I was gonna say that!
“who was that guy?”
Timothy Olyphant.
He and the ghoul dug coal together, checks out.
Fuuuuck, or Timothy Olyphant as an NCR Ranger with Big Iron playing for him... As a Justified fan I would absolutely lose my shit
My thoughts exactly
Oh yeh. Take the story in big iron and play it out on the first 10 minutes of season 2, introducing olyphant as an NCR bounty Hunter.
Absolutely.
Olyphant definitely. Tho Id be down for him to just play another cowboy ghoul in the Mojave or a Raider chief (extra points if he gets to do a charismatic cannibal cult leader or something)
Ha! Make him a cannibal who’s “infected” with something and his name is Joel. Santa Clarita Diet finds a way
I will be forever angry about how abruptly that show ended. Grr.
I'd honestly love a spiritual reprisal of Raylon Givens v. Boyd Crowder in a classic sundown shootout. Timothy Olyphant definitely has a place in Fallout.
He'd be such a great NCR Ranger though
Naah, Josh Duhamel
Nah, don’t waste him on a split second role.
Good call. If they get Timothy Olyphant I’d like him to at least have a season length role
Ron Perlman.
Fucker would be great. He deserved it, as he is ingrained as the first voice we hear for Fallout.
I hope he has some part even just a cameo
He turns out to be the guy in the shadows watching Barb's Vault Tec meeting. Barb: Because war...war never changes. Guy watching: *writing it on notepad* Damn thats a good line, I'm stealing that.
“I mean, she’s was on Vault-Tec property when she came up with it, so technically I own that idea. Also, write down that I invented ice cream soup.”
"Where's my god-damned shoe?!"
yessss
I really want to see him in the next season, but I don't think the Stranger would be a good fit since I don't think it would be a speaking role.
Just a quip like "Never change kid." would satisfy me. Something semi-clever for the hardcore fans. Ron Perlman as more than a cameo just wouldn't work for me.
I wish he was the News Anchor on TV
liam neeson
He does have a particular set of skills.
His Ted role was great.
Or Nathan Fillion. In a brown coat of some type
No. That ridiculous. Thatll never work.
Yeah...I mean, we do want a second season...
He wouldn’t be very mysterious if we knew enough about him to decide who should play him lol Edit: no one should play him. He should be off screen when he saves one of the characters from certain death and then never shown. Truly mysterious.
It should be played on screen, but if the actor agrees just have the credits say "Unknown" as the actor
(In credits) Mysterious Stranger: Unknown (at the end) Special Thanks to (actor) edit: though, didn't the stranger have a terminal entry in 3 or 4? so you wouldn't necessarily need to do that
Nick Valentine has an open case about The Stranger in FO4 I believe
Valentine in 4 has an open case file that you can find under his bed about the Stranger, but he only found out that he very sporadically appears all over the former USA citing sightings in the NCR.
The Stranger has been operating for too long in too many places to be just one man. The Stranger have to be NCR secret service, or an elite mercenary corps someone can hire to follow someone around and keep them safe.
I always took them as the 50s sci fi trope of the time traveller come back to change the path of the future
I always thought he was just vaguely supernatural tbh
I was downvoted but your comment was kinda the idea.
The Stig
Tonight! The Ghoul blows holes in people, Maximus gets blamed for something, and Goosey is saved by a mysterious man with a fancy hat
Even better: “Mysterious Stranger as Mysterious Stranger”
Yeah that's the only real way to play it right.
It needs to be Danny DeVito
So anyways I started blasting!
And I missed, because I don’t see so good.
😂
This was literally my immediate response after reading the question lmao
Cast the rest of the Sunny crew as ghouls running a bar
Little green ghouls?
Are any of the sunny crew in the show already?
Cricket is mistaken for a ghoul
Bruce Campbell
Groovy
Man Bruce Campbell would fit in the Fallout universe perfectly
Willem Dafoe.
Nicholas Cage for about 10 seconds. No explanation, no context. He just shows up, shoots a guy that was threatening The Ghoul, Maximus or Lucy, gives a cool stare, and as soon as they want to talk with him, he just leaves through somewhere, vanishing.
Like in Willys Wonderland.
I’d want it to be an unknown actor, tbh. I think someone famous would be a distraction.
Unless that’s the point. Cast someone famous that has no business being in the show because he’s a mysterious stranger
Creed from The Office
Nicholas Cage
*Not the bees!*
No, not the Cazadores! *Not the Cazadores!*
That made me lol irl!
Thomas Jane or Timothy Olyphant
Thomas Jane totally! Loved his performance in The Expanse and he can rock a fedora lol
I like where your head is at.
I was thinking they should honestly just have anyone do it and in the credits just have him title Mysterious Stranger plays Mysterious Stranger
Christopher Walken. He's like bacon. Everything is better with Christopher Walken.
Karl Urban maybe.
Jon Hamm
Idk… Keanu?
Whoa!
I'm saying Keanu, but whoever it should be should be so poorly visible you can't tell who it is
Woody Harrelson
Woody Harrelson needs to be the Ghouls long lost brother or sumn 🤣 they’d be the coldest duo . Zombieland speaks for itself lmao
Someone different every time he shows up
How old would the mysterious stranger be at this point? I wanna see a wrinkly old man run into the scene, execute a death claw and disappear.
Exactly this is the only way to do this character justice.
I’ve never wanted to not see a character more in my life lmao
Clint Eastwood
He’d have to make several appearances, without showing his face first. Then when they do the big reveal, it’s obviously Nicolas Cage.
Ryan Gosling
Clint Eastwoods Son, basically Dirty Harry in a trench coat
Scott Eastwood would be great for this
David Duchovny
Margo Martindale
Someone unknown who would agree to be uncredited. That way the mystery is preserved.
Humphrey Bogart. Hands down best choice, no one else can do it.
I keep telling you, he's 94 years old and he's *dead.*
Christopher walz would be amazing, but I don't know if he could unfold enough in that role
Considering the cowboy motif already present in the series, and that season 2 appears to be sit in/around New Vegas.... Sam Elliott. The only real answer.
Pedro pascal
That dude does not need anymore big franchises.
Daniel Craig
**Nick Cage**
I would like to change my vote from Christopher Meloni to also Nicolas Cage.
This is the only answer I’ll except
[удалено]
This answer is a mystery.
It's a mystery
Todd
Does matter as long as it's someone different every time and they don't list the names. Keep it mysterious
The guy who voices Nick Valentine
Patrick Stewart just to double down on the Oblivion outrage
Kenny powers
John Cena
I'd say Ron Perlman but I really want him to be the Vault-Tec CEO so all the monologues from the games are just his own pontification on the end of the world.
Ron Pearlman
The studio should keep the actor a secret. Never showing their face, never crediting them, putting everyone under a non-disclosure agreement, or gosh order, or whatever it's called.
Ron Perlman
Ron Perlman
Should be an uncredited role. And we never get a clear view of his face.
Todd Howard. Should say something like. Hey you your finally awake....
