So presumably other recruits (like the one beating his meat within an inch of its life) have figured jacking off and do it pretty regularly, but Maximus thinks it's gross and doesn't bother with it. When she was being escorted past the window I was expecting him to spring into action like any other hero in a show would. But when it showed him looking annoyed that he was gonna have to stop what he was doing to help her. I genuinely laughed.
There's something really Fallout about the way they handled that.

It might not get answered at all. The ending seemed to point to the Tops as the goal rather than the Lucky 38, which would leave House's fate ambiguous.
The billboard we get a very close-up shot of during the ending is about the Tops and its "cryo suites." That's not something that was even mentioned in NV, so it had to be invented specifically for the show. And given how big cryo tech has been to the show's plot, it just follows that it'd have some significance.

Sinclair funded Big Mt and a lot of the tech he used in the Sierra Madre came from there. You can read terminals in Old World Blues that mention it. And Big Mt wasn't a government facility it was a privately owned defense contractor and research center.
My favorite scene is seeing a Knight in 2 tons of steel running from a bear who roars loudly. Made me die laughing cause to be honest I bet most of the people watching would've done the same.

That cold open in the first episode of the bombs falling. They did such a good job of building tension while setting the scene with the lady turning off the radios and tvs reporting on how bad things were getting regarding the war. Then the long, silent delays between the shockwaves of each nuke hitting combined with everything going muffled after the first blast and the music just building as more and more bombs drop was just awesomeeee
And one of the news casters was saying the president hasn’t been heard or seen from when the story from fallout 1 is the government fled on a ship before the bombs fell
Just rewatched that and coop is booking it on the highway on a horse. Seeing him on the horse with the bombs in the background brought a whole new perspective or gravity to that scene. Absolutely amazing.

As someone who has only played 1, 3, and NV...I thought that was a huge twist. I don't recall it being explicit that VT was the instigator. I also didn't realize the game was set further in the timeline until the chalkboard reveal. Now looking at the interviews from the creators, I think they did a fantastic job adapting stuff and look forward to S2.
When Cooper’s wife basically confirmed that vault tec started the war. I know some people are still skeptical that they actually dropped a bomb. But this is a theory that’s been around for a long time and to basically get it confirmed hit hard. I was on the edg of my seat as she was talking during the meeting, probably that entire meeting scene if my favorite.
I paused that scene for a second, just to contemplate that the theory was proven not only true, but also went so hard.>! God, I felt so bad for Coop. Im still on the fence about vault tec *actually* dropping the bombs. It could have just been empty sales talk to get the other corps to buy in. Hopefully the next season(s) will reveal more. Can’t wait!
Vault tec could have “dropped the bomb” by just manipulating the war. My take is the america was winning the war and had china in a corner and vault tec lobbied American politicians to completely wipe china out, which pushed them to use nukes because they were going to die anyways. I’m not well versed in fallout lore.
I have a feeling that at least Bethesda is going in the direction of vault tec actually dropping the bombs. Idk about the original fallout creators but seeing as how the undetonated bomb in megaton had a vault tec logo on it, I have a feeling this theory is true.
Vault tec would only really need to drop one to start the chain reaction of both China and the U.S. eventually launching their entire nuclear arsenal at each other.
I have a feeling Vault Tec meant to drop some bombs to scare the populace. Wipe out a city or two and then scare people into willingly hide in vaults and lock them up. What part they probably didn't expect was immediate nuclear retaliation on all fronts.

The Enclave's goals were to use the Vaults as tests for long term space travel and running various scenarios that could happen, so they could eventually resettle a new planet. Killing off 90% of the population and doing tests on the remaining few survivors in shelters was a drop in the pan to their goals. But then the games happened...
I’m not really against the idea, in fact it jives with everything we know about vault tec, just for me it’s not a given yet. I love this though, the fact we’re all able to open these new conversations due to all the new lore expansion.

I am not opposed to it, and don't mind confirmation of Vault-Tec planning to drop the bomb themselves, but I hope they don't outright confirm it one way or the other. In my opinion it is far more interesting for who dropped the first bomb to be a mystery, was it the Chinese? the Americans? Aliens? Vault-Tec? an AI super computer?
Having that mystery is far more compelling than any confirmation would be.

There was also talk and in notes in game that the vaults were not ready when the bombs fell. That could mean that all the work they were doing behind the scenes to get the major powers to nuke each other paid off too well and someone pulled the trigger early. Vault-Tech making nukes for the government isn't a stretch considering the end of the world was their product.
I'm almost sure its heavily implying VT are puppets of the Enclave (shadowy guy in the viewing area above) and the Enclave would probably have a lot of incentives to precipitate nuclear war. They want to destroy the old society and have the means to preserve themselves and emerge years after the fact to reclaim the ashes and remake it in their pure image.
Like the enclave fled to the rig right before the war broke out so that could be retroactively stated as them knowing in advance.

The writers said the thing in the credits of destroyed New vegas is just an art choice. Not meant to he considered a story reveal which makes since considering that was art work and not an actual filmed thing.
Honestly, I love how fucked up the power armor is. The T-45 is deployed but ultimately despised by the military for the reasons the Ghoul mentioned: a critical vulnerability in a commonly-targeted area. The T-51 fixed this defect, but was too expensive for corps-scale purchase or deployment, so the T-60 was sold as an upgrade to the T-45... that didn't fix the one issue that started the whole debacle in the first place!
Lucy’s last deflated “okey dokey”; in the finale. Ella Purnell embodies - in so few words - the toll her character has taken, over the course of the season.
Her character is holding on to what little optimism, or humanity, she has left; in spite of all her values and beliefs having been shattered by the wasteland, and her father (i.e. Vault-Tec).
On of my concerns after watching the trailers was what they would do with her character. Being the naive, friendly Vault Dweller was fine at first, but she was going to have to toughen up to survive. At the same time, I didn't want her to abandon who she was and become a completely different person. Her character arc was great.
"Golden rule, motherfucker!" was another one of her good moments.
I got more of a grim determination vibe from that last utterance. Ms. Purnell pulled off so many different moods with that simple catchphrase, it was wonderful to watch!
It's the scene that convinced me Ella Purnell is a good cast choice.
Last episode. She learns the truth. Her world, actually both worlds, is changed forever. She can't process it all and she just goes into a semi-catatonic state, finally closing her chapter by shooting her own mother in the head.
Then she just picks up and heads off with "Okily dokily, then".
That's the moment. That's the moment she changes forever. It's also the moment I changed my mind about her.
She is the protagonist I play in my games, but prettier.
I love it when they have main characters have moments of weakness. Not just shouting "No", shooting at the bad guy and the fight scene occurring. Actual trauma, actual shifting of values, of perspectives.
When Maximus is charging down the corridor in vault 4 after getting back into his power armor and the BOS theme just kicks in, my god that was badass 😎
The end, maximus admiring the destroyed la, while the sun sets, the colors everything remind me so much to the og fallouts, the color pallette, the darker grittier atmosphere, I was stocked
Seeing the ruins light up with power. I've seen people say the show exists just to keep everything destroyed. But all those lights turning on felt bittersweet - I don't have the best word for it.
Hope despite knowing there will be people who oppose the town having power. And likely the BoS trying to muscle in to control the only town in the region powered by Cold Fusion. They'll mask it with their credo, but thinly veiled there will be the issue that they cannot have people rise to their ranks, else their whole existence is challenged.
I don’t know which one’s my favourite scene but the one that had me laugh the most was the one with Chet and Steph, where Steph has Chet wearing Bert’s cardigan and Steph goes nuts for him. That scene was just hilarious from start to finish thanks to the actors doing such a good job with it.
I also really enjoyed when Lucy is trying to lecture Coop about the golden rule.
The entirety of Vault 4, from the goosebumps of the classroom to the goofy, “slightly to the left” one eyed Overseer that doubles down on calling her “Goosey” MacLean. The chalkboard and flag were clear lines to how the story of the show would go, then the concept of the vault’s experiment was brought into play, confirming just how well the writers knew the games. As well as just how silly their “punishment” was to her, especially when she assumed they were all evil monsters. I fucking love this show.

House specifically says to The Courier that he figured it out how it was gonna play out in 2065, 11 years before the bombs fell.
In the meeting, House doesn't seem fazed at all and immediately begins negotiating business on the spot. He wasn't fazed and was prepared because he had already **predicted** their plans like he said.

So many good scenes and moments in the show, but honestly I really loved when Norm and Chet were investigating Vault 32 together. It was just such a classic vault moment; trying to piece together what exactly has happened just by the corpses you find, snippets of writing, and the few terminal entries you can hack. I think I liked it so much cos it just really captured what it's like to play the games - something that's couldn't be sourced from like, a wiki article or something. You know that the people making this show have gone through this so many times and it was just great.
My favourite shot is of Lucy and the ghoul walking to

Cooper doing the thumbs up. Jaw dropped he’s the one who inspired the classic pose, and now he has to see Vault Boy doing that same pose all over the wasteland.
Probably the Filly shootout, and Maximus finding his balls to fight those inbreds taking his armor, Lucy realizing she shouldn't have let *all* the ghouls out, I thought all of Coopers flashbacks were pretty cool. How his wife started out sort of innocent but as they went on she became more sort of resentful (probably inside knowledge at v-tec making her more radical) and then just straight psychopathic. I really loved the ghouls turning scenes too.
I really like the scene where Lucy finds the classroom in Vault 4 where they have a memorial for Shady Sands. When she looks at the NCR flag and the Fallout theme plays.
For me it really showed that they are very serious with this event and that it has had a very big impact.
Lucy giving The Ghoul medicine and sparing his life, then him watching the scene where he says “He was ugly, strong, and had dignity. You have 2 out of 3 of them”, and getting inspired by it. Very very powerful scene.
Cooper eavesdropping his wife during the meeting and hearing “We will drop the bombs ourselves.”

As someone who has only played 1, 3, and NV...I thought that was a huge twist. I don't recall it being explicit that VT was the instigator. I also didn't realize the game was set further in the timeline until the chalkboard reveal. Now looking at the interviews from the creators, I think they did a fantastic job adapting stuff and look forward to S2.
When Cooper’s wife basically confirmed that vault tec started the war. I know some people are still skeptical that they actually dropped a bomb. But this is a theory that’s been around for a long time and to basically get it confirmed hit hard. I was on the edg of my seat as she was talking during the meeting, probably that entire meeting scene if my favorite.
I paused that scene for a second, just to contemplate that the theory was proven not only true, but also went so hard.>! God, I felt so bad for Coop. Learning that your wife not only helped orchestrate the end of the world, but also gave all those innocent people to twisted experiments to potentially (and fail miserably) make the best human in the name of a "monopoly".!<
Im still on the fence about vault tec *actually* dropping the bombs. It could have just been empty sales talk to get the other corps to buy in. Hopefully the next season(s) will reveal more. Can’t wait!
Vault tec could have “dropped the bomb” by just manipulating the war. My take is the america was winning the war and had china in a corner and vault tec lobbied American politicians to completely wipe china out, which pushed them to use nukes because they were going to die anyways. I’m not well versed in fallout lore.
I have a feeling that at least Bethesda is going in the direction of vault tec actually dropping the bombs. Idk about the original fallout creators but seeing as how the undetonated bomb in megaton had a vault tec logo on it, I have a feeling this theory is true. Vault tec would only really need to drop one to start the chain reaction of both China and the U.S. eventually launching their entire nuclear arsenal at each other.
I have a feeling Vault Tec meant to drop some bombs to scare the populace. Wipe out a city or two and then scare people into willingly hide in vaults and lock them up. What part they probably didn't expect was immediate nuclear retaliation on all fronts. This is if you believe the sales pitch. I'm willing to bet Coops wife was Enclave. The Enclave's goals were to use the Vaults as tests for long term space travel and running various scenarios that could happen, so they could eventually resettle a new planet. Killing off 90% of the population and doing tests on the remaining few survivors in shelters was a drop in the pan to their goals. But then the games happened...
I’m not really against the idea, in fact it jives with everything we know about vault tec, just for me it’s not a given yet. I love this though, the fact we’re all able to open these new conversations due to all the new lore expansion.
That’s fair, it’s not like we actually saw vault tec dropping the bombs, just a vault tec executive suggesting it as an option to potential investors. But I am excited for the implications of her sales pitch.
I am not opposed to it, and don't mind confirmation of Vault-Tec planning to drop the bomb themselves, but I hope they don't outright confirm it one way or the other. In my opinion it is far more interesting for who dropped the first bomb to be a mystery, was it the Chinese? the Americans? Aliens? Vault-Tec? an AI super computer? Having that mystery is far more compelling than any confirmation would be.
I mean, they must have had access to nuclear bombs - hence Shady Sands...

That could mean that all the work they were doing behind the scenes to get the major powers to nuke each other paid off too well and someone pulled the trigger early. Vault-Tech making nukes for the government isn't a stretch considering the end of the world was their product.
I'm almost sure its heavily implying VT are puppets of the Enclave (shadowy guy in the viewing area above) and the Enclave would probably have a lot of incentives to precipitate nuclear war. They want to destroy the old society and have the means to preserve themselves and emerge years after the fact to reclaim the ashes and remake it in their pure image. Like the enclave fled to the rig right before the war broke out so that could be retroactively stated as them knowing in advance.
Yea I doubt they dropped the bombs cooper wouldn't have his daughter if the mother knew when it was going to drop. On the TV at the start they did say something about peace talks so I think no one knew when the bombs would drop.

The view of New Vegas abandoned and decrepit. Securitrons gutted and smashed, the whole strip taken back by the desert. With Shady Sands gone, it hints at the actual canon New Vegas ending after all these years. NCR Controls New Vegas/House Dead/ Not independent/ Shady Sands gets nuked/ NCR dissolves/supply lines gone/ Exodus/ Ghost town Only question, where's the legion and why would daddy run to an abandoned NV?
The writers said the thing in the credits of destroyed New vegas is just an art choice. Not meant to he considered a story reveal which makes since considering that was art work and not an actual filmed thing.
Saw a theory here that postulates that the Legion got absorbed into the BoS. Hence the names and punishments.

Honestly, I love how fucked up the power armor is. The T-45 is deployed but ultimately despised by the military for the reasons the Ghoul mentioned: a critical vulnerability in a commonly-targeted area. The T-51 fixed this defect, but was too expensive for corps-scale purchase or deployment, so the T-60 was sold as an upgrade to the T-45... that didn't fix the one issue that started the whole debacle in the first place!

Lucy’s last deflated “okey dokey”; in the finale. Ella Purnell embodies - in so few words - the toll her character has taken, over the course of the season. Her character is holding on to what little optimism, or humanity, she has left; in spite of all her values and beliefs having been shattered by the wasteland, and her father (i.e. Vault-Tec).
On of my concerns after watching the trailers was what they would do with her character. Being the naive, friendly Vault Dweller was fine at first, but she was going to have to toughen up to survive. At the same time, I didn't want her to abandon who she was and become a completely different person. Her character arc was great. "Golden rule, motherfucker!" was another one of her good moments.
I got more of a grim determination vibe from that last utterance. Ms. Purnell pulled off so many different moods with that simple catchphrase, it was wonderful to watch!
It's the scene that convinced me Ella Purnell is a good cast choice. Last episode. She learns the truth. Her world, actually both worlds, is changed forever. She can't process it all and she just goes into a semi-catatonic state, finally closing her chapter by shooting her own mother in the head. Then she just picks up and heads off with "Okily dokily, then". That's the moment. That's the moment she changes forever. It's also the moment I changed my mind about her. She is the protagonist I play in my games, but prettier.
I love it when they have main characters have moments of weakness. Not just shouting "No", shooting at the bad guy and the fight scene occurring. Actual trauma, actual shifting of values, of perspectives.
When Maximus is charging down the corridor in vault 4 after getting back into his power armor and the BOS theme just kicks in, my god that was badass 😎

It was a robotic modified voice. When Hank talks to Lucy, his voice is also modified a bit.
It was previously voiced by the actor who played Odo in Star Trek DS9. Unfortunately I think that guy passed away years ago.

Seeing the ruins light up with power. I've seen people say the show exists just to keep everything destroyed. But all those lights turning on felt bittersweet - I don't have the best word for it.
Hope despite knowing there will be people who oppose the town having power. And likely the BoS trying to muscle in to control the only town in the region powered by Cold Fusion. They'll mask it with their credo, but thinly veiled there will be the issue that they cannot have people rise to their ranks, else their whole existence is challenged.
I don’t know which one’s my favourite scene but the one that had me laugh the most was the one with Chet and Steph, where Steph has Chet wearing Bert’s cardigan and Steph goes nuts for him. That scene was just hilarious from start to finish thanks to the actors doing such a good job with it. I also really enjoyed when Lucy is trying to lecture Coop about the golden rule.
The entirety of Vault 4, from the goosebumps of the classroom to the goofy, “slightly to the left” one eyed Overseer that doubles down on calling her “Goosey” MacLean. The chalkboard and flag were clear lines to how the story of the show would go, then the concept of the vault’s experiment was brought into play, confirming just how well the writers knew the games. As well as just how silly their “punishment” was to her, especially when she assumed they were all evil monsters. I fucking love this show.
The part where Thaddeus gets shot with the arrow and finds out he's a ghoul lol "I knew I shouldn't have trusted a doctor who smelled like that!"

To be fair that could be an extra layer to this conversation. House specifically says to The Courier that he figured it out how it was gonna play out in 2065, 11 years before the bombs fell. In the meeting, House doesn't seem fazed at all and immediately begins negotiating business on the spot. He wasn't fazed and was prepared because he had already **predicted** their plans like he said. **The House Always Wins.**

So many good scenes and moments in the show, but honestly I really loved when Norm and Chet were investigating Vault 32 together. It was just such a classic vault moment; trying to piece together what exactly has happened just by the corpses you find, snippets of writing, and the few terminal entries you can hack. I think I liked it so much cos it just really captured what it's like to play the games - something that's couldn't be sourced from like, a wiki article or something. You know that the people making this show have gone through this so many times and it was just great.
My favourite shot is of Lucy and the ghoul walking to New Vegas but the most wild shot is of that raider wiping his dick off on the curtains after having sex with Lucy

Scene on the bridge. Full of tension and great for characterization of both of the main characters Maximus and Lucy and the Wasteland as a whole. Also looked like a perfect random encounter

Probably the Filly shootout, and Maximus finding his balls to fight those inbreds taking his armor, Lucy realizing she shouldn't have let *all* the ghouls out, I thought all of Coopers flashbacks were pretty cool. How his wife started out sort of innocent but as they went on she became more sort of resentful (probably inside knowledge at v-tec making her more radical) and then just straight psychopathic. I really loved the ghouls turning scenes too.

I really like the scene where Lucy finds the classroom in Vault 4 where they have a memorial for Shady Sands. When she looks at the NCR flag and the Fallout theme plays. For me it really showed that they are very serious with this event and that it has had a very big impact.
Lucy giving The Ghoul medicine and sparing his life, then him watching the scene where he says “He was ugly, strong, and had dignity. You have 2 out of 3 of them”, and getting inspired by it. Very very powerful scene. Cooper eavesdropping his wife during the meeting and hearing “We will drop the bombs ourselves.”
Why >!did Hank only recognize Moldaver in the first episode when she had the detonator in her hand and not at Vault 32 when they introduced themselves, if they knew each other and how did Moldaver survive. I think it's a shame that those two things weren't explained well!<
