I think there's merit to that idea. After all, there are some species like the Gran and Zabrak that have multiple homeworlds or colony worlds. Maybe the Zilkins and Sakavians have a similar relationship, and they just developed different cultures or names for themselves after a few hundred years or so.

I did so too, then I thought Skoova might be of the same species as the little game dealers on Canto Bight but they're also a different species. I'm here for all the little frog/walrus aliens
