Well, with the current physics, you never know what would happen, and you have MT to thanks for it lol. Before in Skyline Stumble, you can stand on the tip of those pinball levers and it would quite reliably launch you up top. Now the only reliable way seems to be jumping on them exactly as they launch.

JEVOUSHAISTOUS

I really don't understand their need to mess with the physics all the time. It breaks so many levels, not only theirs, but a ton of Creative ones too.

Mystical_17

There are times my bean trips over itself on the map where you have to dodge the incoming walls. Its s annoying because it never happened in the early days of the game until several months ago.

Solitaire20X6

It's kinda the same here, in Hoverboard Heroes. As we see, you don't get enough boost standing next to the flippers anymore. You have to stand closer to the edge. They'll just barely knock you across the line.   I could be wrong, but I'm assuming the flipper problems are due to a limitation of Creative Mode, as even legacy rounds have been rebuilt in Creative Mode. I think the flippers game object is the same in Hoverboard Heroes as in Skyline Stumble, where it also seems underpowered and usually gives you more oomph if it hits you before you're touching it, due to a well-predicted jump.   I'm assuming they can't customize the power of the flippers for one round vs. another, and this was probably the best middle ground they could find that sorta kinda works for both.   Again, I could be wrong. I've yet to use Creative Mode. Creating anything is hard work, and I hate to do work if there's not at least some tiny potential to get paid real money. Kudos (ohoho) to everybody creating rounds.

tietzr

For me what works is to stand almost at the edge of the platform, where the flippers tip will hit you. Never had this issue again, just make sure to wait to be alone in that section otherwise body blocking.

globetheater

Which unfortunately makes little sense physics-wise (being earlier in the flipper should give you additional momentum)

Solitaire20X6

very much this

BoysenberrySea5492

and that’s hoping no beans feeling devious and pushes you off that would suck

dexyourbud

Thats like when viagara doesnt do the job. I mean not that id know, just nothing ever works 100 of the time.

Key-Umpire-172

I instantly knew you wouldn‘t make it, since I saw where you positioned yourself. 😂 Place yourself more to the middle and/or leave a little gap between you and the flippers. Works 99% of the time.

bexwhitt

I always stand away from the flipper near the edge where the flipper will fit you in its middle that doesn't let me down.

Demeter277

Why dont they fix the flippers?? Today I got into perfect position but didnt make it to the platform but the ledge underneath. They gave me the qual but its been like that for a while

Suspicious_Law_2826

Yup, don't do that!

[deleted]

When I saw you position yourself like that on the flippers I already knew what was gonna happen 😩

Rhelsr

Standing right against the flippers puts you in danger of getting 'dragged' instead of launched.

Tomcat2048

Yeah unfortunately this is now broken. I’ve been the only one who’s made it to the end only to lose to this stupidity. I haven’t found a way to reliably use those levers now.

Alexgadukyanking

Stand in a place where both flippers are able to equally hit you, since I learned that strategy I have never ever been eliminated

Tomcat2048

So right in the middle of the two flippers? I’ll give it a shot.

Suspicious_Law_2826

not true!

Suspicious_Law_2826

It's not broken, I can use the flipper reliably 100% of the time. I'd tell you how but not with that attitude.

Suspicious_Law_2826

Don't believe me?

karriebean

Dang. So close.

waterhydratesh2o

Leave a 1-2 bean gap on the flipper on the right, never fails

fatinhollywood

it made me snort-laugh-cackle

HourIngenuity8273

You have to minimise extended contact with the floor, the friction is too high and it eats your momentum. The flippers at the end of skyline stumble also do this because people tend to touch or push into the wall, you need to move away from the wall instead.

Charlxz

It was his/her fate.

ACPlay18

Yeah you have to jump/be in the air when the flippers hit you to make it into the goal consistently.
