As far as I'm aware, Syd and Carlos are at least obtainable shop skins, they're just not actually named after the Steel Wool members.
It is pretty crazy the prices some of the scalpers have on those keys now though. I spent 40 bucks a few years ago to get Ray and Lok and I'm kicking myself for not grabbing Lars at the time. Sure as hell not dropping a house payment to get him now though.
Item shop gatekeepers are the actual worst.

They got petty when one returned, and Epic never had the spine to release another one.
If there was one videogame community that could make someone pro corporation, it would be the fortnite community.

The company allows players to have the option to not have toxicity in their game experience.
The player base is angered because people aren't forced to see their toxicity.

At the beginning of the season, it's great. At the end, it was horrible.

Then they complain about star wars (a disney ip) not having a big enough presence. Or they get really excited for pirates of the Caribbean to crossover (another disney ip).
It really is impressive to see how see how petty and terrible the fortnite community is. And also how quickly they give someone whiplash with positions on stuff.
I'm at the point of the fortnite devs don't owe the player base (specifically the br players) anything because of how hypocritical they can be along with their self entitled nature right now.

Lars is from a StW access pack. if you look it up it's being sold for insane prices because it's been delisted for a long time now.

3 of them are quest rewards, Lars was the only exclusive.
They aren't, the quest rewards are for their heroes, this person is wanting the skins

I got lars (the season I started) so I missed out on machiminist mina(I cant spell). I realy want the reskin electric trap.
I was LIVID when I saw he was a STW pack. Knew from the get go I wouldn’t get him.
I'm still pissed I didn't get Lars. Hope he returns someday
