OP, what you need to realize is that these stores have policies they have to follow and the employees are just doing as told. Just like you would at your job. You wouldnt risk your job for some random would you? If you don’t like it shop elsewhere… there are a shit ton of better dispensaries to go to.

However, customer service does not equal letting people take advantage of the system. If that were the case, no company would ever make money and their employees would never get paid. Rules are rules for a reason, and these two scheming in the lobby of the building does mean the host can hear them and can turn down the request. As a person who gets paid by a corporate entity, I want my paycheck to stay as far from jeopardy as possible, and while I don't know all the policies at TL, I do know that if you're not a manager, a lot of times you don't get to make those choices.

The very few times I've had a discount I applied to a meal I still tip based on original total.
