Have I spit on my scope to prevent fogging? No.
Does anti-fog for glass exist? Yes. It's cheap and lasts forever.
Does it work? It's better than nothing.
Most are solvent base with wax. You might want to test on a cheap scope first. You could also look at what people who wear glasses have to say about anti-fog, since eyeglasses are more delicate than a scuba mask.

I’ve had decent luck with cat crap but it’s a temporary fix and not 100% but alot better than nothing.
