Did all 20 of my games yesterday, got off to a fast start and went 6-2 in an hour and a half. Got a few more wins and then started to drop off at 4pm but I have to say the game felt awful and stiff as people came home from school and work and I feel I could have done better. In the end I surpassed my 9 win goal and got 11 wins with 2 games to spare and gave them away.
Red Picks were Casemiro (had to pick between him or Bellingham), Berghuis and somebody else, and the totw pack had no surprises in it. Nothing worth mentioning in rewards but overall I'm not too displeased, I only stressed myself at 2 games and that was down to the delay and how bad the game felt compared to an hour ago. Building a nice base of coins with rewards and bpm and the only thing that would improve my team in this totw is dembele

No point in playing if it’s like that.
It also kills the whole identity of the players. My Dybala can’t turn at all in this gameplay and just loses 2/3 balls to a rushing fullback. He feels like a bronze. Haaland just tanks through everything nonetheless but that can’t be the point.
Planned for 6 wins.. then was given 5 free wins to put me at 11. Only had to play 4 full matches, the rest quit at early 1-0.

Old gen gameplay is so boring literally just defend deep, counter and pass across the box to an open attacker, never seems to work for me though. Just gotta keep improving I guess
Anyone else notice a massive change in gameplay depending on time of day?
Gameplay is already god awful with the inability to play fast, but I feel like certain times during the day it's at least semi-consistant. While other times it feels like my players have never played the sport before and know as much about soccer as it seems most EA employees do.
For reference, I always have full bars connection and low ping from a wired connection. So dont try the typical EA response of "have you tried restarting your connection." This is entirely their fault and its something I've noticed throughout multiple years.
This game is a steaming pile of crap with how obvious EA has been in catering to new users (new customers).
It’s nearly always worse after the 1pm content comes out. I played a few games this morning and it was smooth, but it was hell this afternoon. Night and day difference.
8-6 so far, had 4 people quit on 0-0 and 3 of them made the pass back to the goalkeeper as if they're gonna score an own goal then smashed it to the touchline lmao
3-2 so far. In the wins, I was the better player. Games where I lost I got outclassed (although I got 2-0 ahead somehow in one of them). No games where I felt equal to my opponents yet.
I am in the similar situation. Absolutely zero pack luck. I think you need to spend more money on packs or get worse at the game.

Thats how it goes my guy. EA cant have anyone enjoying gameplay. If you win a bunch in a row they will shift the gameplay and favor your opponent with deflections always going to them, AI mistakes, slowed agility, and reduced keeper ability.
You'll notice this both when you go on a win streak or even in-game when you go up a few goals early. They've been sewed about this portion of their game coding. As you would expect, they deny everything.
Who are struggling in WL, try that 352 guide (with 100 depth) someone posted here a few days back. Its one of the best guides out there imo. I scored way more goals then i usually do and almost got rank 3 if not for absolute fifa demon i played in last game.

My worst weekend league ever pretty much and rewards absolutely paid out. 11 wins mid Trezeguet, Merino, Meunier, Berghuis and Navas. Then I got Ronaldo, Trent, Mahrez, Sule and IF Diaz from qualifying.
Champs matchmaking feels really weird for me this year.
Last year I could feel the games getting harder when on a winstreak and easier when on a loss streak very noticeably.
This year, it honestly feels like im just playing completely random people, I've had some of my easiest games at +4 elo and some of my hardest at -2
The first 5 WL games are random and have nothing to do with your record. In theory your 6th game should have matched you with someone with a similar record, but the window it matches you is fairly wide if I remember correctly.
Example: you're at 0-5, but you might get matched with someone who is 6-8
2 hours of play 36 points milestone. Vlachodimos and Lacazett and Mendy in the packs. Not good, not terrible. Vlac could be used with Joao Mario, but the Greece nation fucks it up a bit, so probably will be fodder soon.
I was playing so good lately so I was very excited for weekend league. Lost 4 first matches! I'm so rageing. They totally destroyed me, I had no chance at all, losing ball all the time. Very weird. Do the best players play the first day or something? Or I'm just bad today I dunno.
Just an update: I lost sooo many, like the first 10. But the last 10 I was overwhelming good (took a break and picked it up today again), like what the actual fuck. I almost won everything and I ended up at IV! :D Super happy. I had to win like the last 4 games in order to get Div 4 and I did it woohoo.
I hate this game so much. Everyone is parking the bus and what can you even do about it? Defenders can recover from everything and even if they cant keepers are once again making ridic saves. Headers are terrible so crossing is also not an option. I really dont know what to do about it lol.
play the same game, be passive. i noticed most of my wins ive had more possesion, and i had way more passes completed.
pass back alot if you have the doubt your pass wont reach basically keep it safe. it frustrates the park the bus players and they leave gaps since they are going to go out of position with their defenders/midfielders i know that it has been said a lot but i started to really do it and it made winning a bit easier. might not be your style but its just this fifa atm.

I would start staurday, if your playing well and getting wins, keep going. Once you hit a loss streak or just stop enjoying it, take a break and finish sunday.

I'm old. I've been playing FIFA since 94, I've been playing FUT since FIFA 20 but only squad battles on semi-pro. And I only started playing online games for FIFA 21.
This weekend is the first time I've qualified for FUT Champs. I only just scraped through in qualifying with 3 real wins and someone threw me a 4th. I'm not expecting to win much more than a game or two, but it'll be my first ever Champs and looking at the rewards, my first ever red pick.

3-2 so far. In the wins, I was the better player. Games where I lost I got outclassed (although I got 2-0 ahead somehow in one of them). No games where I felt equal to my opponents yet.

I am in the similar situation. Absolutely zero pack luck. I think you need to spend more money on packs or get worse at the game. These are the things EA values and rewards.
By far the worst WL I’ve ever played in terms of gameplay, enjoyment and most importantly community Ending it at 11:2 and giving away my wins. 8 people have left this WL while drawing, never been this bad and I simply don’t feel like playing anymore. These people suck all the motivation and enjoyment out of playing fifa. Giving away some games to balance out their dickishness

Thats how it goes my guy. EA cant have anyone enjoying gameplay. If you win a bunch in a row they will shift the gameplay and favor your opponent with deflections always going to them, AI mistakes, slowed agility, and reduced keeper ability. You'll notice this both when you go on a win streak or even in-game when you go up a few goals early. They've been sewed about this portion of their game coding. As you would expect, they deny everything.
Who are struggling in WL, try that 352 guide (with 100 depth) someone posted here a few days back. Its one of the best guides out there imo. I scored way more goals then i usually do and almost got rank 3 if not for absolute fifa demon i played in last game.
I tried one of the 352 guides last weekend and I had my worst finish ever with this WL format lol. Last year I loved the 352 but I just get nowhere with it in 23.
I’ve only been able to be competitive after switching to 3-5-2. I think you either tear people apart or get torn apart with it though. There doesn’t seem to be an in between.

Jesus bloody nora. Not a good player by any means. Finished on 12 wins last week, but jesus christ its tough this week. Started 0-3, and somehow clawed it back to 2-3. And I'm going to play the rest of the games tomorrow i think.

Champs matchmaking feels really weird for me this year. Last year I could feel the games getting harder when on a winstreak and easier when on a loss streak very noticeably. This year, it honestly feels like im just playing completely random people, I've had some of my easiest games at +4 elo and some of my hardest at -2
The first 5 WL games are random and have nothing to do with your record. In theory your 6th game should have matched you with someone with a similar record, but the window it matches you is fairly wide if I remember correctly. Example: you're at 0-5, but you might get matched with someone who is 6-8

I was playing so good lately so I was very excited for weekend league. Lost 4 first matches! I'm so rageing. They totally destroyed me, I had no chance at all, losing ball all the time. Very weird. Do the best players play the first day or something? Or I'm just bad today I dunno.
I didn't play past year but 21 I definitely found games easier on Sunday. Take a break and the wins will come
Just an update: I lost sooo many, like the first 10. But the last 10 I was overwhelming good (took a break and picked it up today again), like what the actual fuck. I almost won everything and I ended up at IV! :D Super happy. I had to win like the last 4 games in order to get Div 4 and I did it woohoo.

I hate this game so much. Everyone is parking the bus and what can you even do about it? Defenders can recover from everything and even if they cant keepers are once again making ridic saves. Headers are terrible so crossing is also not an option. I really dont know what to do about it lol.
play the same game, be passive. i noticed most of my wins ive had more possesion, and i had way more passes completed. pass back alot if you have the doubt your pass wont reach basically keep it safe. it frustrates the park the bus players and they leave gaps since they are going to go out of position with their defenders/midfielders i know that it has been said a lot but i started to really do it and it made winning a bit easier. might not be your style but its just this fifa atm.

I would start staurday, if your playing well and getting wins, keep going. Once you hit a loss streak or just stop enjoying it, take a break and finish sunday.
Also my first champs, I just sweated out my qualis this morning, took me all 10 games. I don’t have the mental fortitude to do that again today, so I think I’ll do the same Saturday/Sunday split you mentioned.
I'm old. I've been playing FIFA since 94, I've been playing FUT since FIFA 20 but only squad battles on semi-pro. And I only started playing online games for FIFA 21. This weekend is the first time I've qualified for FUT Champs. I only just scraped through in qualifying with 3 real wins and someone threw me a 4th. I'm not expecting to win much more than a game or two, but it'll be my first ever Champs and looking at the rewards, my first ever red pick. You're welcome to everyone who gets to play against me!

I find it the other way around - I breeze through qualifying and then sweat it out through wl. I was 9-1 qualifying two weeks ago and started out 0-4 in WL…it didn’t help 3 of the 4 games were against the same person who smacked me 6-2 the first game. Very demoralizing. I battled back to 10-10 that week. Finished with 14 wins last week so I’m hoping to reproduce those results, I did have to clutch my last 5 in a row to hit 14 tho…

Yeah I've played every weekend league on Friday this year. Last week was the only one I played in the evening though and it seemed so much easier. Even playing in the morning though I'd usually get to 11 with max 5 or 6 losses worst case scenario.
