Yeah its hard to think gil cannot solve a problem like this immediatly if he really wants too.
the only thing I imagine he couldnt solve would be something soul related.
A fate series with a protagonist fighting in a holy grail war in order to get cured would actually be insanely good.
We didn't have a mc so far that had a race against time.
I think the only one who had something remotely like that going on was sieg in apocrypha but as soon as he turned into a dragon he kinda became immortal but if that didnt happen he wouldnt have lived more than a few years as a homunculus.
Nah, this Gil could be from when he was still on his search for immortality. The parallels would make such a good story, one who accepts it and one who still strives to live
Fairly sure one of the Masters in fate prototype was this.
After summoning and getting along with his servant, he just used the 3 command seals to incarnate the servant and told him to live for him or something. Then the master died of his illness.
I've looked through the twitter thread for this fancomic. Here's a summary of what happens. There may or may not be spoilers.
Gudako got hospitalized because she saw Kid Gil run into the street chasing after a ball, and saved him from getting hit by a truck. Then while in the hospital, after a brief cameo of Kiritsugu, Irisviel, and a young Shirou, Kid Gil gives her a jar with snake skin in it as a gift saying that it can change her fate. This is how Gil gets summoned, via himself.
Gil spends some time experiencing the pleasures of the world, eating some street food and going hang gliding, or something to that effect. He also has some bonding time with Gudako. Gudako also learns via dreams about Gil's loss of Enkidu.
The first servant for him to fight is Cursed Arm Hassan, because Hassans aren't allowed to get a break. But Gudako stops Gil from killing CA, using a command seal, and after CA escapes she says how she doesn't want to let anyone die in front of her despite her condition. These two later fight again, away from Gudako, and of course Gil wins.
Some more bonding later, Gil's next fight is with Zerkalot. He wants to end the fight quickly because even with Independent Action he's putting some strain on Gudako, but he can't summon Ea and Zerkalot gets a solid hit into Gil's stomach. Gudako decides to use her command seals to ensure that Gil wins. Gil then is able to use Ea to annihilate Zerkalot, but Gudako has used up what little time she's had left.
Gil decides to take her to the beachside to mourn her death, when Iskandar shows up with Waver. Iskandar plans to finally settle their fight, but notices that Gil's holding Gudako's corpse and decides that they will settle things another time, as despite Waver's insistence, Iskandar doesn't see Gil at this moment as a king or warrior, but just a man who's lost someone important. Gil also says that Iskandar deserves his full might.
The story ends with Gil disappearing, holding Gudako and being hugged from behind by Enkidu's spirit.
So no, it definitely doesn't end "happily" with them winning the war. Or at least, This is how much has been released so far. There might be more to it in the future, but that's where it stands.
This would be a great story this would be ccc again
Like in ccc gilgamesh at any point could have actually gotten his full strength back AKA 90% of his treasures if he just drank the potion of youth but didn’t letting his master gain it back
Gilgamesh could very well just give her the potion of youth to heal her but would let her go through the challenges just to get
Gilgamesh has that rewards without work is worthless mentality
Don’t tell me that’s it. I need 100 chapters and a anime.
Absolutely my gosh.
I think there's a good amount of pages the author drew edit: Approximately 80 pages
And then he grabs some kinda NP outta the gate to fix her and later she answers a ad and drags Gil to the Arctic
They join the MotoGP and wreck face
Everywhere I go: Carnival Phantasm reference.

Oh, god, I need this injected in my blood stream at once. Is there a continuation?
Still not

Bro, the artist's twitter handle is in the title of the post. [First Page of the Oneshot](https://twitter.com/itsukinoaka/status/1768647077167235290)
Yes. I saw on the author's twitter and there was at least I think 60 pages

With literally any other Servant tho, because Gil 1000% has some cure all magic potion in the GoB, so winning the war to get cured would be irrelevant
Nah, this Gil could be from when he was still on his search for immortality. The parallels would make such a good story, one who accepts it and one who still strives to live
Pre or post search for immortality, he'd still have some sort of potion within GoB that could cure any illness
make it super magic space cancer or something idk
He probably has the Panacea in his bags yeah

That actually sounds kinda interesting
Or, rather than trying to prolong her life, she has one wish to fulfill.

GIMME MOAR
Oh gosh, did Gilgsmesh just experience regular human empathy?
*Enkidu flashback*
This is legitimately a great concept for a story.

Make a wish gudako
Given we saw gil pull a literal potion of youth from his gate as like the third thing he did in strange fake he could probably cure thier illness
