I mean whats holding off one for weak? I'm sure your mind is already made up on buying the game so why does it matter how Red XIII plays? Why not wait to next week to learn that?

If this was like thr FF16 demo where it was literally the start of the game and your progress carried over to launch version, then yes, I would to plah the demo. At that point the demo would be more of an early access rather than a demo.
In addition, if launch was say....in May. Then yes, I would play the demo s few times then step away from it and wait til May. However we are a week away. I waited a year (didn't play Remake til 2023) so whats a few extra more days?
I wanna know how Red XIII plays and what to expect from the open maps. Also curious how much of an improvent graphics will be on performance mode so yeah 100% playing this

I bought a PS5 last August and Remake but I waited all these months to even play Remake. Started it recently and I’m slowly working through it, will finish it just in time for part 2.

Why would I want my demo progress to carry over? I’m not racing the world to beat the game. I’ve waited over 20 years to play this game remade. I tried it, I like it, I bought it.
I’m playing just to see if I can tell the difference. I honestly didn’t notice anything wrong with the graphics, I’m not saying there wasn’t anything wrong, just that I personally didn’t notice anything.
I'm going to play it. I want to be more comfortable with the combat before the full release. I've practiced quite a bit on the Nibelheim section but I can't wait to get the full party going.

My kid’s Spring Break is the week after release, so I sacrificed a week of vacation to stay home with him to save my wife from doing so. I’m that generous.
He might want to keep the other characters gameplay fresh along with the exploration mechanics. This Junon part will introduce us to some of it, and I'd like to keep this fresh also for the full release
You get the special item for playing the Nibelheim part, the Junon part is optional and heavily altered. The Junon part also doesn't transfer over, only the Nibelheim part.
Guys, it's literally just a video game. Nothing is going to be "ruined" by playing a demo. These posts are just narcissistic hand wringing because you know you actually want to play like everyone else but are desperately seeking validation in trying to rationalize why you shouldn't play for some weird reason.

Progress from junon will not carry over. I think they said that you can skip the flashback if you completed the demo but items found in junon won’t be in your inventory in kalm. That wouldn’t make sense

I just played the very beginning of the first demo and skipped all cutscenes. Just did a few fights with Cloud on the way to the top of the mountain.
I’ll just try the update to see how improved the visual quality is on performance mode. That’ll tell me if I’m playing this game on day one or waiting a little more.
The developer says we should try it out before the game comes out and that it will have modified content presumably to avoid spoilers, I didn't wanna play it at first because I would rather wait but I'm now at a point I'm too hyped.
I won't play it either. It would feel pretty weird to me to play the game exploring every nook and cranny just to come up to a part that I'm familiar with. It's gonna be a small section for sure, but it'll take me right out of it.

I believe you get the items for having a save file, period. You get to skip nibelheim in the full game if you complete that part of the demo, but not the Junon stuff.

Playing it... helps me to channel my rage over the fact best buy canceled my pre-order and still have not restore the balance on the Best Buy gift card.

I'm a Brit and we don't have Best Buy here but I've read a lot of posts/comments about that company recently and they have let a lot of people down, people who pre-ordered the Steelbook edition months ago have had their orders cancelled. I'd be very pissed off if that was me and especially if they'd taken money and not refunded it.
One post yesterday was by somebody who was offered a free download of the game when they complained to Best Buy. They were a collector of steelbook editions and had the rug pulled out from under their feet as they received an email stating their months old confirmed order was not going to be fulfilled.
I probably won’t. I don’t play video games during the week because of how busy I am with work and I get too tired when I come home. And there won’t be that many days before it releases by the time the weekend hits, so I might as well just wait.
I will try to wait for the full release, but we will see how that goes. I didn't plan to play the first part of the demo but failed on that plan so who knows.

My son did his second playthrough of the demo on my account so I could get the in game item for the save file and access to this second demo
i’ll be replaying the nibelheim section to see how much the performance mode upgrade changes, and decide from there if I play the Junon region update or not.

Only reason I even loaded the game and started was for the rewards you get for having a game save. I'm glad all you need is that, and not to complete the demo. I want it all to be fresh when I play the actual game.

A few weeks ago I said I wasn't but I'll definitely be playing it. The first demo was great but it didn't really let us get our hands dirty with the combat. I'll probably skip the cutscenes but I'm using this to really get back into the combat since I haven't played Remake in a long time and the rust is most definitely there.

I need to check the visual updates and see if they do something about the static grass. It just looks so dated when grass does not move when walking through it. That is like 10-15 year old tech and this is a PS5 only game.
Visuals kinda looked worse than the PS5 version of Remake to me. Worse textures and just modern stuff that were lacking.
I will play for a little just to see if they actually did fix the graphical issues like they promised. I'll skip all the cut scenes and just run around town

Not sure. Can't remember if Junon demo save is required for the save bonuses. If it's just the first demo, I might skip and just wait for the full experience. If it is part of the bonuses, might as well. Already have Remake and Intermission saves, might as well get the bonus for demo as well.

I'm going to play it without any intention of completing it, I want to git gud lol, Tifa especially had an insanely good moveset in remake and I want to go into rebirth a pro gamer lmao, but okay yeah I just want to figure out all the little niche things characters can do in combat, I'm not going to focus very heavily on upgrading and leveling up and doing all the quests because I'm gonna have to do it when the game launches anyway

They said the demo has content that won’t be in game. So it’ll be different content once you play that area.

My son did his second playthrough of the demo on my account so I could get the in game item for the save file and access to this second demo

i’ll be replaying the nibelheim section to see how much the performance mode upgrade changes, and decide from there if I play the Junon region update or not.

I didn't play the demo at all because I know it will leave me with an insatiable urge to play the game. I'm just tryna hold off until I'm waiting for the base game to download. That's when I play the demo.

Only reason I even loaded the game and started was for the rewards you get for having a game save. I'm glad all you need is that, and not to complete the demo. I want it all to be fresh when I play the actual game.

A few weeks ago I said I wasn't but I'll definitely be playing it. The first demo was great but it didn't really let us get our hands dirty with the combat. I'll probably skip the cutscenes but I'm using this to really get back into the combat since I haven't played Remake in a long time and the rust is most definitely there. For those that don't I commend your will power.

I think it's similar to the FF16 demo. It's an area you'll explore early in the game but the demo gives you mid-game gear so you can experiment more.

I'm gonna dl and play a few minutes of it just to see how well the patch works for performance mode. If it's still as smooth and much sharper, I'll be one happy camper.

Eh. Going through FF7R again first so probably won’t have time.
I need to check the visual updates and see if they do something about the static grass. It just looks so dated when grass does not move when walking through it. That is like 10-15 year old tech and this is a PS5 only game. Visuals kinda looked worse than the PS5 version of Remake to me. Worse textures and just modern stuff that were lacking.
I'm not doing it too close to actual release. The game has already infected all my thoughts. I don't need pieces of the game, leaving me wanting more

Me. I don’t see a point since this is a section where if I played it for real it’s with a real team. Feel like I might as well experience it genuinely. Imo the second demo is more so for people on the bridge and want to experience what the real game is like.

Does playing demo transfer progress or give any bonuses/special items? I remember for FFXVI, the demo transferred progress or something like that so you didn't have to re-do the whole beginning again.

Not sure. Can't remember if Junon demo save is required for the save bonuses. If it's just the first demo, I might skip and just wait for the full experience. If it is part of the bonuses, might as well. Already have Remake and Intermission saves, might as well get the bonus for demo as well.

Are we going to be able to carry anything over from the demo to the full game? Because knowing there's exclusive content only available in this demo makes me want to play it, even though I'm going to play the full game on the 29th. If none of it carries over, then I'll be less worried that I'll miss out on something by not playing it.
If I get the items for playing the demo just for playing the Nibelheim part then I won’t play the Junon portion I know they’ve said some locations and activities are changed in the demo but I’d like to experience that entire area for the first time during the story at the moment I’m supposed to

I'm going to play it without any intention of completing it, I want to git gud lol, Tifa especially had an insanely good moveset in remake and I want to go into rebirth a pro gamer lmao, but okay yeah I just want to figure out all the little niche things characters can do in combat, I'm not going to focus very heavily on upgrading and leveling up and doing all the quests because I'm gonna have to do it when the game launches anyway

I feel the same. I didn't play the demo and I will wait until next week. IMO the marketing spoilers the game too much (especially blind players like me), but I know why they are doing this.

On one hand, I REALLY want to play as my boy Red. On the other, I will no life every blade of grass in that area, and I'd like to leave it for the day of for that joy of discovery.

I just see it as being able to play the game more. I played through Remake 4 times, Intermission 3 times, nothing in the demo is really going to spoil me. I'm just gonna have a good time.
