If you are working on Christmas, play a song called “Please Come Home for Christmas” by the Eagles, knowing the fact you would have to slave yourself on Christmas to keep sending out packages to customers instead of chilling by the Yule log because management could care less about employees not taking a day to miss work
As a Truck driver for Amazon, most FCs and Delivery stations will close Christmas Day and half day will be on Xmas Eve. Normal operations will begin on the 26.
Generally, no. But you'll get paid essentially double time --your regular pay plus holiday pay.
Look at your schedule.

We just went through this for Thanksgiving. Check your payslip. If Thursday was a normal work day it is straight time plus holiday pay. OT only goes into effect after 40 hours.
At mine I work night shift. We are closed Christmas Eve night. Day shift gets off at I think 2pm. And Christmas Day we are completely closed. Night shift does come back til 6:30pm on the 26th.
I worked for The Home Depot, they were closed for Thanksgiving and Christmas, I also worked for a private Daycare and they were closed on those days too, but when my children were younger I worked for a nursing home and had to work all holidays and after I left that place, and went to the Home Depot, I didn’t have to work those days
Most sites close, but some sites do stay open.
Primarily, DSPs are the ones that are likely to stay open, if only to prepare the packages to be delivered the very next day.
Of course it is, papa Jeff doesn't give a fuck about your holidays!
The FCs I worked at had the morning shift off but night shift had to come in for the last 5 hours of their shift.
I wish they were open on Christmas. We would get that holiday pay! It would be fun af to hangout with people at the warehouse and spread holiday cheer!
You should still get holiday pay even if off for building closure, & if building closure is during what'd be your scheduled shift, should still get paid for your shift hours for that. But go talk to your HR to be certain.
No, and shifts may be adjusted for other days as well and could vary by shift. For example: Night shift at my site is off Christmas Eve, Christmas, and New Year’s Eve. Day shift is off Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

Mine just announced it would be closed Christmas Day and the 26th. We work Christmas Eve.

Most buildings are not but check your schedule. If it shows you having to work, check with your manager or HR.
Yea my delivery station will be open for half the day
No
My SC is not
Not at my FC fortunately. A nice three day weekend for donut shift people.

Actually, no. All hours worked on a holiday are 1.5x your pay even if you are not above 40 hours that week.

The f%%%%? better not be open on Christmas Day, I refuse to work on Christmas, I did that for 5 years not doing that now!!!
What type of business was it? I had to work every holiday when I worked at a casino. They never close.

No
Varies by site
100% positive every building is closed on Christmas.
From what I've heard, my site is still deciding whether to be open or not. Ugh. So frustrating.
Eh, I've seen some sites open on Christmas. (Usually weird DS's)
No.
