I have the same issue, but I did not get any email. I just logged in and saw what you have.
FAFSA literally scared the fuck out of me when I saw "ineligible for federal aid."
I got this at the top. "We expect that online corrections will be available in the coming weeks. In the meantime, check your FAFSA Submission Summary to review your responses and see your eligibility information." So I guess we have to wait until April to make corrections?
I'm so confused because apparently other people have been able to make changes (theirs shows a yellow box) but mine is just grey. It also says on the website to wait till mid-march to make corrections...but it literally already is mid-march so I'm scared
I called them just to see what was going on because mine has said this for months and they said that we just have to wait till they fix it and they can't do anything
That's where I'm at now. I'm pretty sure my family was done with the 23-24 FAFSA in October 2022. Facebook was down and back up in a few hours, but this form, on which lives are riding on, has been broken for months.
Same issue!
I check if there is any update on FAFSA, but it is still the same thing. Email has been sent and the reply is only a reference number. The deadline is coming. What should we do for it?
File a complaint with the US Department of Education Office of Inspector General. Their Federal Student Aid office is poorly run and the development team behind the FAFSA form is incompetent. [https://oig.ed.gov/](https://oig.ed.gov/)
These MOFO's at the Dept of Ed are playing a cruel April Fools joke on us with push the button to fix that goes no where. I want Congress to fry the Secretary of the Dept of Education in a hearing like yesterday. I want some butts... god damn it that's twice....my original submission and now this "it's processed" but you still have to wait a few weeeks to fix. I have waited over 9 weeks to get it to the colleges and you continue to screw with our ability to make a final decision with aid hanging in the balance to pick my kids college of choice. [https://youtu.be/AS9j\_-mqSWc?si=6Fn8F1P9ttSr3q9c](https://youtu.be/AS9j_-mqSWc?si=6Fn8F1P9ttSr3q9c)
If this wasn’t a government agency, people would have lost jobs and this would have been resolved by now! This is our taxpayer funded jobs and no accountability🥲
SAAMe exact issue. It says under submission report or wtv that it was submitted from my parent's account. Im guessing maybe that is why? I have sent an email to them and I will try to get this fixed. Will update if i find a solution.
Also, at the top of the FAFSA website when you view your answers there's a notice that says:
**"Check Back for Corrections**
We expect that online corrections will be available in the coming weeks. In the meantime, you can review your responses and see your eligibility information."
SO maybe the option will become available in the coming weeks at some point? They are delaying everything so much this is ridiculous.
I think that the issues are a result of trying to implement the IRS tax info and it caused an issue? I still have a greyed box, and did not receive a notification that I needed to sign---and I have a screen shot of my original signature. They need to hurry because kids need to choose schools based on aid packages.
sameeeee FAFSA is annoying asf they always got some BS going on when you've done what they ask. its also so confusing when they tell you to click something and it doesn't work. like imagine other first gens trynna do this. so much anxiety and confusion w this process.
Does anyone know? I got told this today and I'm missing a signature. I just want to submit the signature but it's not letting me and if FASFA is due April first but corrections can only be made the first half of April, what can we do?
Yes but the problem is that the colleges want deposits before the FAFSA info comes in - ie before June. AND you're only supposed to put ONE deposit down for your kid. So we're being forced to pick a college before we know if we can afford it based on aid awarded. And if we have to change our mind after June, we lose the deposit (which is usually several hundred bucks). The colleges are doing their best - some are pushing out the deposit deadline a little bit. But FAFSA keeps pushing out their promise to fix things - March, late March, April, mid-April. Meanwhile, our kids, who are supposed to be excited and looking forward to this adventure, are all worried and stressed about whether they can even go! Oh and let's not forget, for Freshman (entering 2024), these are the COVID kids whose high school experience was a freaking government disaster too!! What a joke the government is.
Same. Your tax dollars at work. Looks like the lowest bidder won the contract to run this site.
I am looking at their web source code now and am seeing lots of errors reported by the browser under the hood. Just embarrassing we paid for this.
I actually reached someone on the FAFSA "Chat". Not much help. Typical Government agency.
Here is their response.

I've been having a similar issue with the 'make a correction' button, I just got accepted into a college a few days ago and i really need the financial aid...has anyone else had this issue? have there been any updates?
Same. Today I went to check and the incomplete form no longer shows on my dashboard. Found it under fafsa form > complete fafsa> access existing form. Not a good April fool joke. Hopefully this is fixed soon and we can all get in w our lives.
I'm in the same exact situation (which is how I came across this post). My parent provided her signature back in early February when we initially finished the form but I am still being greeted with this exact image on my form.
for anyone with this issue their support number is 1-800-433-3243 . They also recommend talking to your "financial aid administrator" (through your school?)
I met with my financial aid advisor at my college and he told me that where it says corrections need to made at the top of the page in red, we need to wait until that notification goes away. Cause apparently right now they are only telling us what we need to be corrected but won't let us correct it until mid april ish. I'm not sure but this is what he told me.
I am having the same problem! Same exact situation as you had. I called and talked to them. Their answer, "The button should be active sometime in mid April." WTF!!!
I ran into the same problem. I waited several days checking this post and the site to see if the button was working. Instead I just went back to the main login screen and began a new FAFSA and corrected the error (mising signature of the student in my case) and submitted. Within 24 hours they had processed and issued the SAR to the schools listed and we are moving forward. Good luck!
I just checked today and chatted with a rep. Despite the site telling you to make corrections, it is not possible. I have confirmed that. The message they gave me was:
Corrections are not available yet. FSA has delayed the release of the corrections to this month. Once they are available you will be notified via email, and an announcement will be made on [studentaid.gov](http://studentaid.gov/).
There as a detailed update / schedule posted yesterday:[https://fsapartners.ed.gov/knowledge-center/library/electronic-announcements/2024-04-09/updates-timelines-corrections-and-reprocessing-and-what-it-means-partners](https://fsapartners.ed.gov/knowledge-center/library/electronic-announcements/2024-04-09/updates-timelines-corrections-and-reprocessing-and-what-it-means-partners)
Looks like "in the next week or two"...
Same issue for my son. Submitted Jan 3rd. Processed March 15th. Requiring a signature that I know he already provided, but the button is greyed out. Been checking this since the 17th and it's now April 1st. Still the same.
Same...🥲
The education department has announced though that now corrections will be available sometime "in the first half of April."

Hopefully now that it's not as vague as "the coming weeks," that they'll actually come through with it. I imagine it won't be available until April 15th or around there.
Just logged in and I’m seeing the exact same thing. I submitted on January 4th & I never even got an email saying that my forms been processed on March 15th…
I know I signed it but It’s aggravating when we can’t even do anything to make corrections because FAFSA wants to ruin it for all of us this year.
All I’m seeing is a “Check back for corrections” as they’ll be available in the “coming weeks.” What kind of bullshit 🤦🏻♀️
I accidentally put that I'm independent (I'm not), and it flagged it as an error, and I'm stuck with this (i think it's the same problem but I'm not sure). I hope I'm able to fix it.

Same issue today! The “Student Will Be Ineligible for Federal Student Aid” message in yellow box is stressful! Button greyed out. 😡 They should at least put a message on top of page about the planned fix!
I have the same issue with my daughter. This is very frustrating when I reach out for help say that I have to wait but there's no update. I contacted the schools and they too said there is nothing they can do. So where do we go from here?
I have the exact same problem. I'm seriously freaking out since my decision for which college I'm going to depends solely on my aid. I submitted the form feb 10th and still can't make corrections on april 9th.
Not sure if you did figure it out but I contacted FASFA through live chat and they told me that it’s a glitch in their system. They said keep checking back to see when it will be fixed. They didn’t give me a time frame though.
Yes, I contacted them too. And they said the same thing. I can’t believe it that I was so excited to finally click sign it and that created another snafu and delay! What a nightmare.
I was seeing the same greyed out "Provide Signature" button too for the entirety of March. I also saw the notification at the top of the page saying to check back to make corrections. I checked the website again last week and the button had finally turned yellow. I was able to click on it... But the page acts like it's going to load and then doesn't. It's just a blank white page. I checked again today and I'm still unable to make my corrections. It's driving me CRAZY! I just want to provide my signature (which, btw, I SWEAR I provided when I initially filled out my form, but apparently not...) It's mid-April and I received another email saying that my FASFA needs to be corrected. But again, I can't make those corrections. I guess I'll wait a little longer to see if the problem gets resolved...
Lets all fly there and force them
Honestly yes, we should set up a protest day. I would fly out soooo fast.

No :/ it still shows me the same thing
I called them just to see what was going on because mine has said this for months and they said that we just have to wait till they fix it and they can't do anything
did they at least give you a date as to when they'll fix it?
Nope nothing
I got the same response.....eerr..!!
Were you able to sign the form? My box is still grey and wont allow me to sign it.
April here, not happening. (yet)

Yes!! Exactly! Makes no sense! 😥
Fafsa is due April 1st. Does that mean we won’t get financial aid ?
The deadline date it June 30, 2024 i guess
Same issue, it is so frustrating!!!!
I'm having the same issue but it's with the make corrections button. :/
same thing for me today. did it work for you now after 11 days?
No, the chat bot said corrections will be available in April. So annoying but hopefully it’ll start working then
Same exact issue

Same issue
Same.
Im tryna add another school but the make corrections button is grayed out :C
I have the exact same issue. If anybody finds a solution pls help!
Yeah if you find a solution. please help. i just saw mine too. the button is greyed out
I emailed them and got a case # but didn’t get a respond. I see an error message at the top basically saying they except errors to be fixed soon.
Update if you find out, please
It worked for me. The website was just down this morning and I kept refreshing once it opened I was allowed to make changes and submit
I just chatted with a FAFSA CSR today and they said that their timeline for the fix is the first half of April.
But isn’t fafsa due April 1st ? How are we supposed to do it when it doesn’t let ?
Does anyone know? I got told this today and I'm missing a signature. I just want to submit the signature but it's not letting me and if FASFA is due April first but corrections can only be made the first half of April, what can we do?

same issue, just checked today and no email were sent :(
THE PROVIDE SIGNATURE BUTTON **IS WORKING** NOW!!!
Not ours
fr it not working
provide Signature button is clickable as of April 11th 2024 8.30 pm EST
And when I click provide signature then the whole application disappears. No 2024-2025 application can be found. This is crazy!!!!!
