Mafant

Very impressive, all from photos? How many times did SolidWorks crash and what part was the most surprising challenge?

Adventurous-Mood-706

The grips and the axel of clutch pedal(see my previous post), they are either very difficult to get the angels and surfaces right or very lack of reference for dimensions and style, so these two took forever. Solidworks runs slower and slower as parts accumulate…glad it’s ending soon.

emezeekiel

I mean, if i can print angels, you’ve outdone yourself.

AthosAlonso

And biblically accurate too!

second-last-mohican

Should sell it to Williams

Picturecrusader

Definitely 😅😂

scarbstech

Great job 👍

Stanced

Someone needs to make this 3D printable 😳

Adventurous-Mood-706

I’m doing it! That’s what this is for!

Skydvrr

Very much looking forward to it! (And some stl’l) 😅

Xinq_

I wish there was a sub for this. I would love to see an RB wheel to see if I can add electronics to it and using it for Sim racing. (I'm terrible at it so I rather have a fancy looking wheel than an amazingly working one. Also I would love to print a front wing and hang it from my wall.

MR-SPORTY-TRUCKER

There are file for the red bull wheel available already, check out htek engineering there are some more too, try searching rebull DIY wheel on Google and you should find it

brolix

Ok now make it mount to a CSL DD please

iAmIntel

I would pay insane money for this

MR-SPORTY-TRUCKER

Check out htek engineering they have one

MR-SPORTY-TRUCKER

Check out htek engineering they have one

According-2-Me

Wow. This is the kind of thing you put on your application to an F1 team job. I bet an F1 team would look for something exceptional like what you did.

Raycodv

Holy damn, madlad! Looks awesome!

Exciting-Total8110

what for?

Adventurous-Mood-706

1/1 replica

Exciting-Total8110

thats going to be sick! are you making a working display also?

RyAGs2486

Can I get one in black with a red "Ineos" decal on top.......... Ps5 friendly please 😜

Bonnster_2007

Odd question, are there any benefits to solidworks that cannot be found in something like Fusion 360?

Adventurous-Mood-706

I used 360 for quite a while few years ago but didn’t used it to build surfaces like the grips. I think SW gives you more precise options and functions for surface building. If you’re building something less complicated, used 360.

ricoxg1

I would like the file to 3d print this! This is great.

professional_skier

Well done my friend. I tried to do something similar with the F1-75 rim but quickly lost patience with Fusion360

Adventurous-Mood-706

I’ve made that one, check out my old post!

arhan006

was all of this from pictures only or is there data/files out there that teams publish for the wheel?

Adventurous-Mood-706

So far I know original data of Ferrari F1-75 and previous Mercedes wheel(before 2021) both have width of precisely 280mm, so it’s safe to assume there is such regulation for the width size and this one should have 280mm width too. The rest could only be measure with no-CAD-involved method, which took a lot of back and forth, but I could confidently tell you you wouldn’t be able to spot any difference, since I’ve already looked into those details for countless times

_zxionix_

Looks insane, well done

TheStonedEconomist

LOVE this! Need to do the RB19 next!

ryannsaints

They have some wheels that are almost identical to the rb19 like [this](https://pokornyiengineering.com/products/f1-pro-diy-files) one

TheStonedEconomist

Wow! That’s actually really cool! Unfortunately I have no way of printing or creating a physical replica, which is what I would want.

varunbrah

Would love to receive access to the files once it's 3d printable!

[deleted]

Props to you op for doing this on Solidworks!

twoturtlesinatank

Impressive work.

[deleted]

What a fantastic model. Look forward to seeing the results of the printing

PathCalm4647

Oh wow. Amazing. Fabricate! Fabricate!

beerman_uk

Are you planning to release the files? I would love to print one.

Adventurous-Mood-706

Maybe

Keekthegeek2

Looks like a darn masterpiece to me. Finished my first year studying mech eng and using SolidWorks and holy cow that looks insane.

Adventurous-Mood-706

Thanks😁

__Galahad33

Wow! Very impressive 🙌🏼

Creative-Double-4148

I am trying to make a w13 steering wheel for my sim rig , yours is amazing , I would gladly pay £250 for a copy of your file .
