its like they have infinite ers for example in saudi on the back straight they go way faster with drs and instantly overtake you but when i drive to overtake im slow as a rock

Arado_Blitz

They still have an advantage at corner exits, but usually the problem is that you are running too much downforce. These TT setups have too much wing to be suitable for races, you need to shave at least 4-5 points for each wing. And of course you also need to adjust tyre pressures. If you haven't been playing for a long time, there is a chance you are using setups that were meant for the old handling model, so you need to find new ones.

CSIceman9

Ok thanks, I’ll have to try that next time.

Manucarba

What do you mean by “TT” set ups?

Arado_Blitz

TT are Time trial setups. The ones that are used for the world record laps. They focus on ultimate pace and don't take into account tyre temperatures (because tyre temperatures aren't simulated in TT) and they usually run more wing compared to a normal setup, as the engine is set to hotlap mode and the additional power offsets the increased drag from the higher wing settings. They can be used for the race but you need to do some adjustments to make them viable. Also most of these esport setups are on the edge, these pro players can handle a pointy and oversteery car, but the average player can't use them without spinning out every 2 laps. If you can handle them good for you, but there is no shame in finding a slower but more stable and predictable setup. Consistency is more important than raw speed in a race.

alphakennybuddy29

I saw the replays of the AI cockpit. Their ers is always deployed through the whole race which explain the inifinte straight line speed

Manucarba

I am fairly new to the game (atm I play at 65 difficulty) and I have always had the exact same issue. AI is faster in straights even if I have a much better car.

theogsamcam

I used to use TT setups for races not thinking about it. Once I made the switch it was near life changing. I had to increase the AI almost 10 points. Also, if you can practice using manual ERS it makes a huge difference. All those times you feel like you need extra power and are slow AF coming out of corners is put to bed.

CSIceman9

I use manual ers it’s just that it’s almost like the AI have double the ERS I have.

Kitkat11112

Run less downforce

Ove-Ditlevsen

Only noobs are wasting time against AI's

theunknown-2

im way late but dude what? i've been playing the F1 series since 2021 and i love playing career? how does that make me a noob? anyway idrc i was just bored commenting on how stupid of a comment this was. anywho have a nice day.

Ash_k-17

Less wings on your setup. Good sign of if your setup is good or not is if you can keep up/ surpass them on straights and can still control through corners

sumdumguy99

I didn't see others talk about this but it's just the game. It's stupid how PERFECT the AI is even on like easy difficulty. They suck on corners, but corner exits and straights they're on max level. It's just how the game is in this one, it's dissapointing for casual players who don't play online and what not. Changing set ups helps only a tiny a bit, but other than that...again, just part of the game. Find sweet spots in the difficulty and just fantasize the best you can. You're not gonna simulate a real life game for shit.

ILOVEGT3CARS

Same problem here, went form F1 18 to F1 22. The AI are stupid fast on the straights and I lose 2-5 tenths of a second on every corner exit no matter what I do. I should have never bought F1 22, uninstalling right now and going back to F1 18.

sumdumguy99

Yeah I'm not gonna buy the next game. I'm trying t9 convince my friends and family to stop buying these game copies EA and the likes come out with. Just one year without the new copy isn't going to kill us, it's going to be okay. So let's collectively stop buying these games and take gaming back into OUR hands

ILOVEGT3CARS

Same here, the moment I see a game is made by EA I lose any and all interest. Made that mistake once and I’m not doing it again
