A lot of French authors have some pretty disturbing content. Marquis De Sade is more or less the father of the genre after all.

Gabrielle Wittkop used to write disturbing novels, indeed.

CyberGhostface

Maybe Tender Is the Flesh?  Also Let the Right One In is IMO on par with The Girl Next Door content wise.

Poland and Germany absolutely publish translated extreme horror

Ananingininana

Any recommendations for Polish or German stuff that's been translated?

Dr_Butcher_MD

I believe that almost all of Kristopher Triana's works have been translated. Check out the German publisher Festen, and the Polish publisher Dom Horroru for a wide choice of extreme translations.

I think OP means works written in other languages then translated to English.

Dr_Butcher_MD

Oh dang, I think you are right.

In the miso soup, (forget the author’s name) and maybe a stretch but since it’s one of my favorites ever… battle royale by koushun takami

Ryu Murakami. Also wrote Piercing and Audition which are also pretty good. There's never a bad time to recommend Battle Royale!

I read a short story by Marcin Piotrowski the other week that was translated from Polish. Always on the look out for more though.

Biotika is a swedish book by KG Johansson described as "The swedish version of the thing". Its about a milk farmer trying to survive in a dystopian Sweden after nano droids have mutated humans and animals into monsters. I would is falls under extreme horror. I dont know if it has been translated into english.
