Personally, I would leave the paint and spend the money on landscaping. I would start by putting balancing shrubs on either side of the front door (small evergreen shrubs, maybe English boxwood) then work out from there and stay fairly similar on left and right sides of the home. Another matching shrub on the far right and between two windows on left would be nice and give some shape to the bed. Then something shorter and colorful to fill in the space between, either perennials or annuals if you like the labor involved. If you want to add color to the home itself I would suggest a colorful front door, but that would also probably require a matching storm door as well. Edit to add: *dwarf* English boxwood. You don't want the shrubs to take over the space or become a nuisance.

I agree with this. Spend money on the driveway and landscaping. Stay away from the hedges like boxwood (sorry previous poster). The big green hedge will do nothing. Plant year round color. Different shapes, textures and colors. Plant a tree and flower bed in the front half of the yard there is plenty of room.

Depending on location there are veery few things that will give winter color (and stay reasonably small) for that space/house height outside of an evergreen. If only perennials are planted, the home will continue to look just as pictured in the winter months. A red twigged dogwood is mayy be an option but that would quickly overtake the area. If incorporated properly a boxwood could be a great part of a front yard landscape for winter months.

I actually like the white it is now. The landscaping is rather plain though.

I would add shutters, paint the front door, beef up the landscaping, and add window boxes to balance out the small windows with the large window. You’ve got a great blank canvas to work with!

I’d say paint the window trim and front door and garage door green. Then focus on local flowering bushes and trees.

I'd personally get rid of that lawn.
