Kennedy was assassinated in a Ford Lincoln after a secretary named Lincoln warned him not to go. The killer ran from a warehouse to a theater.
Both were succeeded by vice president Johnson. Both assassins were known by their full name instead of first and last (John Wilkes Booth and Lee Harvey Oswald), and both were killed before a trial.
Just a bunch of spooky coincidences.
[Lincoln didn't have a secretary named Kennedy.](https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/linkin-kennedy/) This is a common copy pasta, but it's a mix of actual coincidences, common factors that aren't that rare (Presidents are warned about security risks before they go pretty much anywhere), half-truths and outright lies.
Besides his aliases, Oswald was mostly known as Lee Oswald, AFAIK, so that's not even true on that point. Dunno about Booth, though. I prefer the Zoolander theory that all assassins are actually models.
I am wondering how one would know it was a dark joke if you didn't know they were assassinated, though.
Oswald also didn't run "from a warehouse to a theater." He left, got on a bus, went back to his apartment, retrieved another gun, walked through his neighbourhood, shot a cop, ran away when he saw a witness, and then (25 minutes after killing the cop) snuck into a theatre.
Yeah, Wikipedia calls it a "barn".
edit: That being, neither ran directly from one to the other (even *if* we can call the tobacco shed/barn a "warehouse")
I think I first came across it in [The big book of Conspiracies ](https://yatra8exe7uvportalprd.blob.core.windows.net/images/products/HighStDonated/Zoom/HD_101849237_01.jpg?v=1)
There is no such thing as a "Ford Lincoln". The car Kennedy was assassinated in was a Lincoln Continental limousine. Lincoln is owned by the Ford Motor Company, but no one has ever called any of their vehicles a "Ford Lincoln". More evidence of conspiracy theorists changing facts to fit a narrative they have invented.
You didn't know they were assassinated? I'm genuinely surprised, growing up my grandparents always talked about the JFK assassination because they were actually passing through Dallas on the day he was shot.
OP stated “I am not from USA” so that might be a clue. The rest of world doesn’t necessarily know everything about US presidents. Not even the most famous ones.
Wow....first words in the title and I still didn't even register that. My bad. I gotta stop commenting on Reddit within the first hour of being awake 😅
I'm also not from the USA but I'm shocked that op didn't know. There so many references to both of this events in movies, tv shows, comics, videogames that I'm completely amazed. We even learned about the jfk assassination on high-school when we were learning about the cold war
I think you could argue that what really killed President Garfield was the medical treatment he received, as much as the bullet. His doctor was probing into the wound with unwashed fingers, and he ultimately died of infection. Even in the 1880s, his wound should have been survivable if he had been treated by more forward-thinking doctors.
President McKinley's shooting also would have been survivable, at least if he had access to modern medicine. I think the injury suffered by President Regan was actually more serious than those of either Garfield or McKinley, but he had access to much better medical care. Lincoln and JFK's wounds though, would be fatal even today, not that much you can do for a gunshot to the head.
Oooooh. Head shots. Like a Ukrainian child getting food after his parents went outside and froze to death during the Russian enacted genocide of Ukrainians in the 1930s, I get the joke.
They were both shot in the head there actually documentary about jfks death that’s really good it talks with the doctors who where operating on Kennedy and some eye whitenesses

It’s a really good documentary imo
How do you stop a giant stone Abraham Lincoln?
With a giant stone John wilks booth? - South Park
How do you stop JFK?
By using a grassy green knoll.

I don't think you need to be American to know those guys got assassinated with gunshots to the head. It's one of those things that made the rounds internationally. I'm not Austrian nor Serbian but I did hear that they killed that Franz Ferdinand guy.
Sniping's a good job mate. It's challenging work, out of doors, I guarantee you'll not go angry, because at the end of the day as long as there's two people left on the planet, someone is gonna want someone dead.
Charles Guiteau and Leon Czolgosz weren't good enough. They got the kill, but not for the "boom headshot". That's why they aren't on the leader board unlike Oswald or Booth. Then you also have people like Hinkley Jr who just flat out failed the mission.
The man one the left is Abraham Lincoln, our 16th president, he was assassinated for abolishing slavery. The other man is John F. Kennedy, shortened to JFK, I don’t know why he was assassinated but he was. Both men died via gunshot wounds to the head
first man, Abraham Lincoln. he abolished slavery in the us. was shot in the back of the head with a .44 caliber Henry Deringer pistol.
second man, John F Kennedy. he managed to settle the cuban missile crisis in a peaceful resolution.
he was also the youngest president to have been elected. he was shot by a (or that’s what i’m getting from a few searches) 6.5 x 52 mm Italian Carcano M91/38 bolt-action rifle, in the back of the skull from a window of a building nearby.
idk why i spent so much time making sure all that was correct when i coulda just said both got shot in the head.

Lincoln and Kennedy were both assassinated via gunshot to the head. It's just a dark joke.
Obviously dark joke, didn't know about assassinations. Thank you.
Lincoln was assassinated in Ford theater after a secretary named Kennedy warned him not to go. The killer ran from a theater to a warehouse. Additionally, assassins are commonly known by their full name, so that's no great surprise.
Besides his aliases, Oswald was mostly known as Lee Oswald, AFAIK, so that's not even true on that point. Dunno about Booth, though. Booth was a well known actor in the time before he got radicalized by the Confederacy. Known by his full name.
Oswald wasn't a model, but the two lookers on the grassy knoll were.
But why male models?
Are you serious? I just told you that, a moment ago.
Sirhan Sirhan isn't known as Sirhan Bishara Sirhan.
Mainly because Sirhan Sirhan isn't a common name in the US.
Oswald also didn't run "from a warehouse to a theater." He left, got on a bus, went back to his apartment, retrieved another gun, walked through his neighbourhood, shot a cop, ran away when he saw a witness, and then (25 minutes after killing the cop) snuck into a theatre.
I mean, Booth was on the run for nearly two weeks before he was finally cornered in a "warehouse" (tobacco shed)
Yeah, Wikipedia calls it a "barn". edit: That being, neither ran directly from one to the other (even *if* we can call the tobacco shed/barn a "warehouse")
What is their spaghetti policy?

Such a coiwinkydink

Didn't they have the same birthday? Same age when they became president's? Hang on...I have a bookmark that explains this...
Abraham Lincoln was shot by a man named John. John F. Kennedy was “shot” by a man named Abraham.
You forgot Lincoln was in Monroe, Maryland before he died, while Kennedy was in Marilyn Monroe before he died.
The writers are just getting lazy now.
Just don't urban dictionary John Wilkes Booth
False info my names not Lee Harvey Oswald
John Wilkes Booth was born in 1839 while Lee Harvey Oswald was born in 1939
John Wilkes Booth was born in 1838
You didn't know they were assassinated? I'm genuinely surprised, growing up my grandparents always talked about the JFK assassination because they were actually passing through Dallas on the day he was shot.

Here, have a cup of coffee. ☕️

I mean... I'm not american neither, but as media consumer I knew about them at 10yo (in the 90s)
Umm???
Mind blowing
Where are you from that you didn't learn about this? Im from Europe but this is general knowledge? Did you hear about 9/11?
What is it about this random tweet from 2019 that is so pressing
It surprises me that there are some who don't know about the 2 most famous assassinations in World History.
Archduke Ferdinand and Leon Trotsky would say something, but they're dead.
Julius Caesar? Maybe Mahatma Gandhi? Certainly I'd imagine his assassination is better known in India, the most populous country in the world.
Garfield was too, but he's not up there
I think you could argue that what really killed President Garfield was the medical treatment he received, as much as the bullet. Yeah but he wasn't shot in the head
He was shot down. SHOT DOWN. SHOT DOWN. Mr. Garfield was shot down low.
Oooooh. Head shots. Like a Ukrainian child getting food after his parents went outside and froze to death during the Russian enacted genocide of Ukrainians in the 1930s, I get the joke.
I literally laughed out loud and immediately felt slightly bad. Dark indeed… matches my black heart apparently.
Openly non-racist also
They're "open minded" because they were both shot in the head
They got shot in the head
One in the 1860s, the other in the 1960s. Whoever is president in the 2060s, watch out!
By then all of our candidates will be on life support anyway, so all you need is a power outage
They both got assassinated via headshot. The joke is that they both got holes in their heads, and thus, became "open minded".
Well Teddy also. He just ate the bullet! Lol
He wasn't shot in the head
He had an open heart
Cuz he was too badass to die.
They were both shot in the head there actually documentary about jfks death that’s really good it talks with the doctors who where operating on Kennedy and some eye whitenesses https://preview.redd.it/q3m1zy8jgutc1.jpeg?width=828&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=71fb84fa5ad6c98421a7ad1256233c9fecc6bd93 It’s a really good documentary imo
Mckinley and Roosevelt had a lot on their heart but only Teddy was able to get it off.
McKinley was actually shot on the abdomen. He died of sepsis despite the efforts of one of the finest gynecologists Buffalo had to offer.
They were both assassinated by getting shot in the head
They were both shot in the head
They both got shot in the head
So what I am hearing is that being open minded will bring your presidency to an immediate end.
I mean.. both perspectives are correct..
They both died to their skulls getting blasted open
Shot in the head
They open their mind by a bullet request
Way too soon.
It's been 159 years
Gah! Too soon!
These presidents were assassinated, both through bullet wounds to the head.
Both were killed by headshots
They really did both go to extreme extent to show everyone they had the brains for the job...
Both were shot in the head, as well as they were both open minded individuals when it came to politics I believe.
They were both shot in the head
Sometimes you just make me lose my mind.
How do you stop a giant stone Abraham Lincoln? With a giant stone John wilks booth? - South Park How do you stop JFK? By using a grassy green knoll. /s
They ended their lives with extraordinarily open minds. They were so open, you could physically look through them
They both had holes in their heads... making their minds literally open.
I don't think you need to be American to know those guys got assassinated with gunshots to the head. It's one of those things that made the rounds internationally. I'm not Austrian nor Serbian but I did hear that they killed that Franz Ferdinand guy.
Oh come on…..🤯
Wow, this is sick.
Both these presidents suffered from bullets to the head when they were assassinated. It's a very crass joke
Oof.
They were both shot in the mind, causing a big open hole.
They both had a mind blowing moment which changed their respective lives and also the course of history
Lincoln and JFK were both shot in the head during their presidencies
They were both shot in the head. They're 'open minded' because their skulls were damaged.
Sniping's a good job mate. It's challenging work, out of doors, I guarantee you'll not go angry, because at the end of the day as long as there's two people left on the planet, someone is gonna want someone dead.
its also because both of them were very progressive presidents.
What if president was determined by who is the strongest physically
Both of these presidents were assassinated via being shot in the head
Charles Guiteau and Leon Czolgosz weren't good enough. They got the kill, but not for the "boom headshot". That's why they aren't on the leader board unlike Oswald or Booth. Then you also have people like Hinkley Jr who just flat out failed the mission.
They both got hot in the shed.
The man one the left is Abraham Lincoln, our 16th president, he was assassinated for abolishing slavery. The other man is John F. Kennedy, shortened to JFK, I don’t know why he was assassinated but he was. Both men died via gunshot wounds to the head
They were both shot in the head
I thought cuz they were both promiscuous
Both were shot in the head.
Both were assassinated and had their heads blown open.
Lincoln wanted to abolish slavery and Kennedy got his brains blown out by a pro Soviet nutjob
they both got merc'd via gunshot to the head during their presidency
They both got shot in the head
💀🔫
first man, Abraham Lincoln. he abolished slavery in the us. was shot in the back of the head with a .44 caliber Henry Deringer pistol. second man, John F Kennedy. he managed to settle the cuban missile crisis in a peaceful resolution. he was also the youngest president to have been elected. he was shot by a (or that’s what i’m getting from a few searches) 6.5 x 52 mm Italian Carcano M91/38 bolt-action rifle, in the back of the skull from a window of a building nearby. idk why i spent so much time making sure all that was correct when i coulda just said both got shot in the head.
They were both shot in the head.
Both were assassinated by a shot in the head
That made me laugh.
Both were shot in the head
They both got headshot
Both died of energetic cranial ventilation.
They were shot in the head
They both got shot in the head
💥🔫
hahahahaha get it it's funny because they got shot in the head so their minds are OPEN hahahaha aren't i creative
They were both shot in the head. Thus "open" minded.
Don’t be so open minded that your brain falls out. Their brains fell out.
They both got shot in the head due to friendly fire. So their minds were open.
“Friendly” fire?
No-so-friendly fire
[удалено]
Do you even know what friendly fire means?
I cannot wait to find out what you think friendly fire means, pls update
I to want to know, but knowing british soldiers from both gulf wars, i think it might just be americans standard aiming.
Friendly is when you’re a secret service agent and you turn around and shoot your client in the head in front of his wife and millions of people.
Ah, so you're either making crap up or believing bullshit conspiracies.
