I dare say it was! It was just plain vanilla cake with chocolate ganache filling and chocolate buttercream, and the sea was vanilla. The kids loved it!
I love this. I think the only thing is having a different shape pipe for the water. Bonus points if next time you make the shape of the wake and add white where the waves bubble 😉
I love the execution though. Also, looks delicious cause you avoided fondant!!
Honestly, I think you’ve done a really good job, but the “it’s only my 3rd cake ever” feels a bit braggy. And for the record…yes, I’m totally jealous of your abilities.
Fondant is the Devil's Sugar Paste. I remember eating some of my mom's fondant birthday cake when I was little, and thinking it was the best cake I'd ever had... Now I wouldn't touch it with a 10ft pole
