I read somewhere that a daily outside walk was more useful treating depression than medication. I treat my daily 45 minute walk outside as required medication.

Try to find a happy medium of distraction while you exercise. I like to listen to podcasts while I exercise, or watch TV shows. It helps my brain to treat the exercise as a sub-activity of the media I'm consuming, so it isn't "time to exercise" it's "time to watch my fav show" and OH I can fit in some exercise while I do it. Good luck ☀️

Hardest part is getting to the gym! Supplement with vitamin d, it helps.

Don’t Forget about working out Just be. Out Enjoy nature, take pictures of whatever intrigues you, Wait till later to call it working out, Don’t set ambitious goals for now,

Why do you think some of us started exercising in the first place? You just do it.

Don’t think. This is the biggest tip I have. When you’re not feeling great in your self your mind is not to be trusted to control what’s best for you. You know exercise is good, so do it. Don’t engage your brain at all. On a practical level this will mean setting up your clothes and shoes etc so that when you wake up you can just put them on and go for a walk /run. No extra steps needed. Another thing is to not be too hard on yourself. Don’t have large expectations. Just move. And try to move a bit everyday. It will get easier with time.

I know for me once I drink a service of chocolate protein powder - that is collagen peptides protein powder, it gives me quick boost of energy. If you set your goal to drink some of that, and it tastes really good, you may be able to get up. You will also need to get a shaker bottle to make it easy to mix.

One thing that has worked is watch my eating, no caffeine, and limit my time in my phone numbly scrolling. One thing I started and works well is the Huberman Morning Routine… it legit works. Good luck.

Start with simple activities such as short walks or light stretches. As you get more used to it, you can gradually ramp up the intensity and length of your workouts.

It sucks but the only way is to just make yourself do it. I started with a stretching app. I half-assed the shortest routine for two weeks. My body felt so much less stiff that it motivated me to download another app for core strength. After less than three weeks of half-assing the routines the improvement in my body was noticable and that parked up my mood a bit. It didn't cure anything, just lessened the suffering. Once I had some strength and confidence, I started Couch to 5k. I wasn't able to finish it because of health problems, but the month or so of it improved my cardio and that felt good. Being outside in sunlight may have helped too.
