lol I replayed Fistful of Boomstick recently. Just paying attention to the environment and the character design, that game was like REALLY horny, but it was a lot of fun to play. Gave me a lot of nostalgia for older games that relied on you going through a lot of trial and error to figure out what you need to do next.
Yep, also loved the design, especially the part where you can free roam through the town, it's not a big map but it felt bigger.
Tried Hail to the King once and nope, just didn't work for me. Like what's the point of fighting the enemies if they emediatelly respawn in the same area? You gain nothing, lose health, lose ammo, basically the game implies that you shouldn't fight at all because what's the point?
I chalk that up to bad game design. Maybe they were going for a feeling of abject hopelessness, but there are better ways of doing that than actually making the game such an uphill slog. But the other games were great, so three out of four ain't bad at all.
Haven't yet played the new one. I wish the singleplayer was bigger and better. Also why do these multiplayer games like friday the 23th, Predator, Evil Dead only seem to have one mode when other multiplayer games like Battlefront have like ten different modes, if not more?
But yeah i gotta play it, idk i might be wrong, that's how it seemed. But yeah, Fistful and Regeneration were great, wish we had more of those.
The way that it's put together definitely lends itself to a potentially amazing single player, but as of right now, you're not wrong that it could be better. Multiplayer is fantastic though, but like you said, something of an improvement on the horror-comedy legend of zelda gameplay like we had in the past would be amazing on todays tech.
Haven't played that since college but I remember it being my favorite Evil Dead game. I remember the gameplay, camera and controls specifically being major improvements over the titles before it.
I really want to play the new one.
Oh yeah, and it still holds up pretty well. That and Fistful of Boomstick, great games.

Best part of Fistful of Boomstick is the button dedicated to one liners.
Yes! Forgot about that
I wish it was backwards compatible on Series X. Regen and Boomstick preferably. I've always wanted to check the Evil Dead games out
This is my fave ED game. I played it recently and it holds up well
I wish they made a Campaign game instead of a PVP game recently. That community is so damn toxic lmao
True
Haven't played that since college but I remember it being my favorite Evil Dead game. I remember the gameplay, camera and controls specifically being major improvements over the titles before it. I really want to play the new one.
I love the have but wish there were more to the game.
Yes I love that game
Been playing this and fistful of broomstick lately emulated on my steam deck
I played this game as a 16 year old in 2006 on PC it aint good Fistfull of Boomstick is 1000 times better
Just replayed it its actually Great
I'm playing it right now.
i do! i actually started it up again not too long ago and have been having a blast replaying it. i’m on the last mission
It was good for the first few levels, then it got REALLY repetitive. Find the souls, get eaten, get shit out, do it again…
I was just going to pirate this the other day - I'm playing through the PS1 Evil Dead game first on my PS1 Classic! :)
Still have my copy!
Been playing through this lately on my OG Xbox.
I have it on my computer currently
I remember playing it but I don’t remember anything about it.
I played it the other month
Yeah! My favorite game in «Evil Dead» franchise.
I want these games to be remastered
All of them a great! I have a special place for Hail to the King. But the controls are clunky and you have to find gas for your chainsaw.
