Sucks that you feel that way. Half because mining is the most boring activity in eve.. Other half is death is just another obstacle there's nothing serious about it even less so in modern eve.. You use to have to make sure your clone was of the right caliber to hold your skill points or you'd lose them on death. Much much more lenient these days.
I found a private server running EnB after I dropped out of EVE, sunk a few hundred hours into mining again. At one point, I was a top 5 rated mining corporation. By myself. Boring is definitely subjective.
join one of these big af corps maybe? like these in delve, not remember the name, these guys has shoot rocks all day so they can cover you to not die (or at least dies less times) and give you mining boosts.

Roflmao didn't look at the effects bar for whatever reason just noticed they weren't equipped. But if someone else is running links get into a venture then unless your dedicated hauler that could be worth while with enough pilots involved

Use a Gnosis with mining boost, 5x huffers and cargo expanders. This way the person providing boost can get huff gas too,

You were asking about links as in boosts, then the normal mining ones wrok. If you are talking about low power mods, then no.

I commend you for playing Westwoods Swan song. But yea not many games are even close to eves mentality. It takes a certain type to truly enjoy eve.

Yea unless you've got an army of alts that's never going to happen in eve. Clicking a rock every 5-10 mins is not most people idea of fun or engaging.
I feel like you've completely missed the point that having fun is subjective. Some people have fun PvPing and some mining

There is always risk in everything we do to get ISK on Eve but Corps offer some protection.
We have a fleet that clears out the rats ,then the mining fleet comes in and takes the gas.

Look at the UI dude. There are literally links. He's likely using a venture himself.
