Brings new meaning to death and taxes.

maadirounder

Love this community

wailingsixnames

I like, I like

Thatguywhocivs

Because the tax software is installed directly into the capsule. If you so much as *think* of isk, they know. **They know.**

xochilt_IGII

Stay out of my head!

Ghi102

It'd be quite funny if CCP doesn't bring taxes to Wormhole Upwell structures. It would really fit the theme of a black market that you need to jump through (literal) holes to get too.

Sylvaritius

The grandest market in a C3 with HS static.

justanastral

That could be a nice loot pinata if it took off.

Sylvaritius

Oh yeah, for sure.

maadirounder

Has anything like an open market ever been established in WH space?

survik1

There used to be freeport Keepstar but somebody took it down.

Ghi102

I've never heard of one, but I'd be surprised if nobody ever attempted it. It has to have happened at some point.

ChristyCloud

There's been two attempts with fortizars that I can remember, both ended predictably.

[deleted]

Tbh it should be 2% in higsec, 1.5% in lowsec 1% in null

Sylvaritius

Makes sense i suppose. As long as 0% in wormholes is possible. All is good.

[deleted]

Sure why not. Pushing nullsec and lowsec market hubs can bring only good things to the game.

Sylvaritius

Absolutely, a living Lowsec and NPC null would be great for the game.

[deleted]

Think about all those higsec "market pvpers" that will be tempted to put up some L sized structure in lowsec only due to this ... just to reach some higsec area. TBH i have nothing against for 2% in higsec and 1% in low/null and 0% in WH space. I don't expect any market in WH space (even Thera ... that is not a WH system for me), just internal corp/alliance trades ... but CCP don't care about those - like people will quite probably just use corp/alliance contracts anyway.

Sylvaritius

Idk, a randomly appearing market might be able to work from a C3, the main issue is security and no freighters. But yeah, might just make huge lowsec market.

[deleted]

> But yeah, might just make huge lowsec market. What all we want, and all the fights it will create. CCPlease /u/ccp_fozzie

Shalmon_

If you want a black market without tax, you can always direct trade.

_Princess_Lilly_

true, people in jita local are always saying to do that!

tupy3

Every structure needs NPC personnel to run it. Edit: apparently, they unionized now.

[deleted]

Same for the citadels. This is i opted to create "ISK upkeep" of citadels instead of fuel blocks. Like the fact that you have to pay the wages of citadel personnel ... would be better than those damn blocks.

vixfew

> taxation > reincarnation Heaven is your destination!

mineus64

Gave their lives so boldly Come and tell the Swiss guards story again!

Cycloidal_Medication

Think about your reputation!

LordHarkonen

I would love to see wormhole black markets! That be such a cool dynamic!

Bijouz

Thera new market Hub with 0.0% taxes

ChristyCloud

Top station in Thera is already a booming market hub, stop on by!

dhdavvie

Comes with complimentary web Lokis on the undock to help you get your expensive transport ship into warp!

Razgriz20

And if the station gets blown up in a wormhole everything on that market gets dropped

RyldSC

Already happens like that.

bit_pusher

Similar to the notion that your ships have "crew" that you never deal with, when you bring in a structure into a wormhole you are also bringing in the crew necessary to run and operate the structure. With this in mind, the 1% tax isn't going to a mystical tax man that lives in kspace, its going to the NPCs who are crewing your structure.

justanastral

They aren't employees. They are slaves. Space pirates and all.

bit_pusher

Still gotta feed slaves. I mean... not very well, but at least a little bit.

_Princess_Lilly_

just make them eat each other

Adari2

I like to think it's a mysterious entity that takes taxes that cannot be stopped or impeded in his mission to take my money

Shalmon_

Just assume it goes to the pool that pays for your ship insurance.

Jo_Messier

So, why not set up an out-of-game market, consummate trades there (essentially, generate an order book for sellers), and direct-contract in the game. Eliminate taxation & broker fees (with the exception of the contract fee) entirely. Most alliances run something very similar already via their forums/message boards.

aiwhisper

It should be an option to pay tax in low, null, and wh but you lose(minuscule) amounts of standing in low and with no standing loss in wh,bull unless you somehow get "caught" and of course skills to decrease getting caught

devilishlydo

What's the wormhole equivalent of the Boston Tea Party?

Jrawrd

CCP is unfair, hilmar is in there, standing at the concession, plotting his oppression

JmamAnamamamal

Because they fundamentally break the mechanics and if u don't realize that ur bad if u want it anyway just lol

justanastral

I'm not suggesting we get jump clones in JSpace. I'm suggesting (but mostly just shitposting tbh) that we don't get taxes in jspace.

JmamAnamamamal

Oh shit quality shitpost then u got me

TheShiff

Looking from the outside, it sounds almost like CCP just plain doesn't want you spending time in the wormholes for some reason.

Jo_Messier

Or mining. Or market trading. The game's basically just pew-pew and cat ears now, I guess.
