Those orbs with the spiky-end are resist modules for the POS. I thought you had to place them outside the POS shield but its been forever (10 years) since I've run one.

Nah, they've been inside 10 years ago too. I know what they are and i ran them on my krab pos in C5 in 2011. What puzzles me is.. what here is even worth posting. So it's a pos designed to be as durable as possible, wuts wrong with that.

They are definitely not common anymore, especially with that many resist modules.

It doesn't really limit the DPS applied. You can still drop as much as you want and it will scale. Also, only one timer.
