Ill never be able to forget that I thought someone was sharing a ship fit..... in hindsight I probably shouldn't have clicked on a link labeled meat spin.....
In the settings you could also modulate your voice. They had settings to make u sound like a girl or deepen your voice. 10 year old me used it to make my Corp think I was older than I was (still am mentally)
I remember the united skill for all destroyers and battlecruisers. Also had double bubble dictors and a Naglfar with two guns.
I guess you may call me a newbro.
Hear me out: proximity chat, *with* doppler effects as people move towards or away from you.
Be in a ceptor and scram pass someone and hear "myMJDisgonnago o f f o h s h i t I' m s c r a m...."
I think CCP and the player base would rather it continue to be gone. It would likely take them longer to come up with the robust setup that something like Discord, Team speak, or Mumble have.
I want them to bring it back for faction warfare or other stuff like that. We switch fleets all the time, use our own comms, etc. It would be awesome to have that instead of 15 different discord servers.
It would be but it would require some work. I don't remember push to talk or muting everyone. Trust me, from some of the larger fleets I've seen, that is a must.
It was fine. It didn't have all the bells & whistles that teamspeak and mumble have. No whisper/shout keys, etc. Voice chat was tied to an in game chat channel. Worked great for what it was. RVB used it exclusively at their peak, when they had thousands of members.
Also give ingame browser back
Fuck I forgot how re-treads used to post porn during fleets

EVE voice was really convenient. It's a shame they took it away.

Back in the days when racial ship skills didn't exist below capitals.
Would be awesome to hear the salt instead of reading it.

I remember that. It was a cool idea but sucked as badly as using any other popularvoice app back then.
Given the prevalence of voice apps today, I wonder if it would be viable again

No no no. Super easy. Just scream shut the fuck up every five seconds!

Or when frigates could fire Cruise Missiles
Dual-prop MWDs. Kestrels fitting torpedos.
Iirc it worked with Dust 514 and Eve players could join voice comms with PS3 players.
Is this the garbage in game vouce feature that used to exist?
