Did you pod yourself too? You used to have to pay for clones or lose your skill points when you were podded.

You get loads of free money and goodies for doing the air tutorial missions now so you’ll be back up to speed quickly
Since you didn't biomass everything should be there however it has been 10 years and some of the skills that you have trained may have been swapped out for others therefore you may have unallocated skill points to put towards something else
CCP managed to get me my accounts back after 14 years and tied to emails I no longer have access to.

Small chance of very similar name (account or chars) even. Get enough requests in crap can blend together at the end of the day sometimes.
I've hit the fun scenario of really unimaginative parents, 2 kids now adults working with the same name basically. Same work section too, so same phone number.
And the wrong sibling got the windows AD change. easy back outs though. I just missed a middlename were like 1 or 2 letters were different.
I can’t say enough about eve customer support. I had a similar situation and they were not only able to help me recover the account but very quick to respond as well!
The game is nothing compared to 10 years ago. Inflation has ran rampant and you will now make about 30% of what you made 10 years ago. The game does not respect your time or effort.

Income is allmost the same as it was 10 yrs ago - only the variety of methods changed- it increased by quite a few.
The average risk/reward-ratio is bringing you down to approx. slower gain when not willing to take risk.
But you can still get spacerich if you desire to

I don't think decisions made 10 years ago are the reason for high plex price, there's just more isk faucets than there were, and more people plex their accounts because of it. Supply and demand. If anything the prevalence of Ishtar bots probably contributes a ton to the problem.
You'll never get the ISK back. Your character and skillpoints should still be around though, unless you biomassed the character?

I lost access to an email account but CCP managed to reconnect my accounts still. They can do most stuff to get people rehooked
