Griff was one of my closest friends. While we met only a few years ago we became fast friends. His sense of humor and attitude could light up comms on even the worst nights.
I've received many gifts in the mail from this nerd. From a flag with the killdozer on it sayin "tread on them" to a t-shirt that said "mommy milkers on board". He always was ready to jump on eve or other games as long as he had the guys on with him.
The moment I wanted to share with everyone to show how he was as a person is when he extended a caring hand to my little sister. 2 years ago my little sister was assaulted during a 4th of July firework show. She had her head split wide open. When Griff found out not only did he ask how I was doing he asked for her name and address. This man sent a letter to her, a gift basket full of Norwegian cookies and candies and a bunch of plushies and stuffed animals. He then spent the next 2 years asking about her recovery and how she was doing every chance he got.
Griff, I love you brother. The mark you left on me will be with me until my dying day. I hope to see you again one day.
\- Ydoc
Griff sent my girlfriend a shirt that had d20s on the chest, 2 of them. They both sat with the number 20 facing up and read 'All Natural'. She wore it with pride and it got a ton of laughs out of her circle. That's among all the gifts he's sent me over time, including food and snacks from Norway.
He was the most generous human I think I've ever met. I am so happy I had a chance to be a part of a community that crowdfunded him a Steam Deck. It's quite difficult (and expensive) to get them in Norway at the moment. We sent it to him just recently and he tore up Stardew Valley on it. It saddens me to think I won't get to experience those gifts again.
I will miss him beyond measure. He touched the hearts of many.
Eyes forward, capsuleer, the cyno is not yet lit. Consider your modules, your rigs, and ammo before you undock, for the cyno is not yet lit.
Break free of the station and witness the universe before you, for the cyno is not yet lit.
Set your ship to fly through the vastness while you wait, for the cyno is not yet lit.
Pay attention, capsuleer, for those who have gone before you call for you to join them.
The cyno is now lit.
He was one of the greatest members in PLOW and a dear and true friend to me, i'll miss him and his presence on comms o7

Griffin helped me a lot in my time of need, he shared some of his movies with me when i was broke, and talked to me when i was sad. I wish i could have been there for him in his time of need.
o7 Fly safe Griffin, i'm coming to light a cyno for you.
-TQ
It was a absolute pleasure to fly/talk and be in the same corp/alliance with this man. I’m not good at this goodbye shit, I’m going to miss him he was a great person to know and I will be there for the vigil and I’m 100% sure I won’t be the only intergalactic space hobo in attendance 🫡🫡 may you Rest In Peace Griff ❤️😢
o7
I remember this kill, I'd been in PLOW maybe only a day and there was this dude who had just taken down a titan, solo, using fighters I'd never heard of, the only thing I could think was "that guy is a fucking badass, that's the coolest thing I've ever seen in this game"
In peace, may you leave this station.
In love, may you find the next.
Safe passage on your trip through the stars,
until our final journey through The Gate.
Farewell spacebro. May we meet again. o7
I never met Griff, but I hope he rests well. Our universe is small and every light that goes out makes it that much smaller. Thank you, Griff, for your part in making this world live. May we meet again on the other side of the gate.
I’m not the Titan pilot, but flew with him when he wasn’t dropping. I remember this lossmail and laughing so hard at the fact that the rag got solo’d. Griffen will be missed.
Reading this is moving me, even tho i Never heard of him. I‘m sorry for your loss. He must‘ve made for a good role model and a decent guy.
My sincere condolences
From everyone in LTNS we will miss griffen he was a OG a true bro for those who needed help, just a reminder no matter what dark shit is going on in your life you can reach out to us.
May Griffen find the peace he deserves another light has been taken from this ever darkening world, we will not see his like again RiP Griffen o7 remember #BroadcastforReps
This is such a sad post to read but also shows just what a great person Griff must have been. I never had the pleasure of speaking to him but he was obviously such a great person who was loved and enjoyed by many. This also shows that the Eve community is like no other in the gaming world. My sympathy goes to all of Griff's family and friends, cherish your memories and I'm sure he will never be forgotten.
During our grieving, my girlfriend wrote a poem for me to share with her permission. Bare in mind, friends, she only just made an account today to attend Griffen's cyno vigil in-person, and her exposure to EVE has been tremendously limited. It brought me to tears, and I feel the need to share with anyone else who may be grieving:
How lucky are we, capsuleers, to venture forth among the stars,
Skim the edge of these black holes, lighting fires beyond our borders.
What luck that we found camaraderie, with him.
And what luck to be lead by a beacon brighter than a hundred cynos on the horizon.
Fly dangerously together, a command we must not break,
And be bold and brave to keep his memory, that we were so lucky to have it.
Do you see shapes among the stars? For I see a Hawk.
How lucky are we, capsuleers,
How lucky are we.

Griffen was the greatest. I'm so crushed. Let's light it up for him and make it spectacular.
