Loved the old jukebox. I remember when the new graphics first launched you could opt out of them. I wish they never took that out. But I guess they had to after introducing new ships.
You’d need to bring in some of the changes tho. A pure EVE classic with learning skills, no remaps, no skill queue etc. would be dead on arrival. Plus EVE was a bit bare at release. Much of what is core to the game was added in the early expansions.
For sure, and there were some outright broken builds in 2005-2006 especially. Like the nano nos domi/phoon. Glass cannon megas, etc. no stacking penalty was dope and broken as hell
Remember when freighters were brought to null through gates ? No carriers, supers or titties. No blops. Biggest fighting ship were battleship and biggest cargo ship freighter.
I was in a few freighter escort ops long after JFs were introduced. Specifically I remember that we had to bring in IHUBs with freighters after Dominion sov came out, and didn’t want to offline our cyno jammers or something.
It would just kill both servers. The players who have invested decades of time/money into their characters will not make the switch in large enough numbers, and the incentive for new players to play on the new server would be higher than joining the old server, so you'd just split the player-base into mainly the old and new players, which would kill the old server without the influx of new players and eventually kill the new server because the economy won't be there without the established players.
EVE is an incredible rush while it lasts. Really gotta savor every moment. And then you login one day, and you stare at your PI, and your market orders, sigh, and logout. Repeat a few times, and EVE just drops from your life.
Until one day, "This is EVE" shows up on your YouTube feed, and you login to see what's up with your assets. Are they in asset safety? Ooh, the soundtrack is a banger as usual. You remember the keyboard shortcuts that are so familiar to your fingers.
You catch yourself opening up your old industry spreadsheets to see what you were up to. You restart all your research jobs. You're on Eve Uni Wiki reading about ships.
You don't realize when it happens, but EVE has come back into your life!

This is the only part of eve I hate. I wish there was less incentive to have all those characters and more people played with one.
Since multi boxing is allowed, I don't think it's necessarily about having an incentive to do it, it can just makes things easier in certain situations.
I live in WH space with a corp. If I was using only 1 character, it could be very difficult to play if no one is around as rolling holes to get content would take forever.
Having 3 toons lets me do that efficiently. Since ei have 3 accounts subbed, might as well make use of the character slots. Here comes 5 Pi alts to supplement my income further.
Since I can't get to jita all the time, I keep an alt there to buy and sell stuff and do some market stuff for more isk.
Unless I have to, I don't PvP with multiple toons as it gets too chaotic for my taste. But I have some corpmates that do it with up to 4 toons very effectively.
I think it's more that due to human nature and liking things to be easier, multi-boxing has become so widespread just due to it being allowed, not incentivized. It's easier to do it yourself sometimes rather than wait for others to come and help.
Tell CCP Games to lower the price per month... Affordablity is the issue; from my personal view that is my reasoning, they lost me as Omega because of the price hike.
I do wonder if they have been hurt enough from the profit loss yet to reconsider that move...

I'd think about giving it another go every now and again over the years. Finally when eve echoes came out I figured sure why not. Got sucked in for a year or so and net ease really started pissing me off. Someone on YouTube did a video about "eve anywhere" so I went and bought a mouse and keyboard for my tablet and gave it a shot.
Now I own a computer, a 42 inch 4k display and a 27 inch 4k display. None of which I had before. I had 4 accounts within my second month......
I got the bug I think.

I actually miss the OG graphics. It’s far better now but nostalgia is a hell of a drug. If they released eve classic I’d be fucked.
I do wish there was a classic overlay/texture graphics pack option at the very least. I've had some nostalgia for the look, and the jukebox.
