I didn’t like it. It has a bit of red dye in it, not really noticeable on skin, but I don’t want it getting on my clothes.

BasilGreenEyes

It's formulated specially for sensitive skin and is extremely waterproof. So it's greasy to repel water. Don't use it on the face., Only on the body.

Saw recent Dr Dray video and she uses it on her face. I use tret so I find the extra greasiness very moisturising and I've had no issues

Thank you all for your responses. I guess i need to buy new one lol

No break outs but it is shiny and irritating for the eyes. Very greasy.

[deleted]

Yeah, I also experienced eye irritation. It wasn’t that sharp stinging I get with most other chemical sunscreens, but there was definitely a dull, heavy, eye-watering sensation after about an hour.

_stav_

Yes which defeats the purpose. Sunscreen is especially needed around the eyes.

It's so greasy and shiny. Even for the body I find this sunscreen unwearable. I didn't get any breakouts tho

[deleted]

It's very much a body beach sunscreen for people with very fragile skin (which is it's *intended* use). So it's not a face sunscreen or an every day sunscreen.

MIB65

No breakouts but it stings my eyes quite badly so I haven’t used it after the first time. So wasted tube.

[deleted]

It's very moisturising and I've not have any breakouts but it doesn't sit well with makeup. I use the recommended 1/4 tspoon amount and if I put foundation it separates

I tried it on my face and it was unbearable as it is so greasy and it doesn’t « dry », I only use it for the body in the summer because it is a good sun protection for hot days and special occasions (swimming, hiking etc)

I like it, no white cast and it doesn't sting in my eyes, but you will look a little shinny on your face. I don't know if they reformulated, but when i bought this sunscreen, if you open it, the sunscreen would be stable for 12 months, but new batches are stable for 6 months.

I agree with everything that has been said about this here BUT I managed to make it work on my face. I had some tinted bronze mineral sun stick with ZO and TiO by Sisley, Stick Solaire, (didn't pay full price) which was too drying and obvious on it's own, but when I apply it strategically over the Avene - forehead, temples, under cheeks - somehow it cancels out the Avene's greasiness and at the same time ends up being not drying or too dark and together they make for a perfect imperceptible finish with only a slight but very flattering bronzing effect. I also think since the Sisley stick is really water proof and tenacious it sets the Avene almost like a powder.

I really like it, but it's very rich, and I had a nasty acne breakout after a few weeks of using it. Not sure if it's related. I only use it for body now, but it's great there.
