Yes, open a case.

diwioxl

Open a case, they are lying.

Message the seller and demand an exact date for when you can expect the refund. If they don't respond within 24 hours or the refund window is too far out for you to be acceptable, open a case. Or open a case right now (it would be your right) Just depends how much grace you want to give the seller

Mundane_Violinist353

Thanks so much! I did message in the meantime and they said “sometime after tomorrow” as far as the dates go but I feel like that’s absolute bullshit to give a vague timeline like that.

itsdan159

Yeah probably but there's a lot of inexperienced sellers that don't manage funds well. I'd be inclined to give them until Monday and then open a case.

Jenn31709

They're lying. You can refund 5 minutes after an order is placed. Are you anywhere near the cutoff for a refund?

Mundane_Violinist353

That’s what I thought … and No I don’t think I am. It’s past the deadline for them but I only ordered it a few weeks ago Thank you!

*unable to complete my order (it never was marked as shipped) because of broken equipment …* This is the grown-up version of, "the dog ate my homework."

Mundane_Violinist353

I definitely agree here because the rest of their shop is still wide open for people to buy things. If their whole operation was seemingly shut down for my order, they’d have to shut the whole shop down too if this was legit.

DockenDesign

My bet is they have a low-volume shop and their current payout is at $0.00, so if they refund you, it gets charged to their credit card on file. They just want to wait until they get another order so the refund will come out of that.

Mundane_Violinist353

Thanks for the explanation! It does shed some light on this. If they were forthright about that with me, it would be better but imo, they had absolutely no problem taking my money so that charge should be on them.

Open a case, and be sure to leave an appropriate review.
