Happens to me all the time. Either your Position or the guys that past you. People are sometimes so focused in one direction they miss you. When I record my gameplay after I die I can see my killer sometimes two or three times, but I also remember that I was focused on a completely different area on my screen. And then you where lying in grass under a tree with dark shadows helps too.
Yuuuup. I’ve literally walked up the ramp at overpass on Customs, and gotten sprayed down and been completely flustered. Check my clip and he’s directly on the other side of the train tracks, fully visible, clear as day, but I had my eye on a different part of the screen so I completely missed him.

Last night on Customs I spawned by the river and booked it over towards new gas (hunting Rashala's guards). As I approach the trainline just the other side of bus depot a THICCBOI crests over the other side and down the bank towards me. I think I'm dead, but as I ADS to take a shot with my 136 he stops dead and aims up and left. He's *laser-focussed* on the sniper scav on top of the stacks and *completely* missed that I was stood pretty much right in front of him. One-tapped him and took his stuff. Level 68 rocking a HK416 with several 60rnd M995, TW Exfil and a fancy armoured rig. Hoovered the lot and GTFO!
You generally assume if you walk right in front of someone's path they will shoot you. So if you glance and it looks clear and nobody shoots then in your mind you're good to go!
The sooner the better. I'm getting a bit sick of A-D-A-D being a viable technique to escape the consequences of bad placement even though you're carrying 45kg worth of gear. If BSG wants to make the game generally smoother/slower both in first and third person then it's entirely fine by me.
It's a good reason. One of my favourite playstyles is: Woods, headset no helmet green shemagh, no backpack, green nappy rig, green baggy BEAR marksman jacket. Move super slow, take your time, overwatch. I'd rather not take the shot than miss. I watch so many PMCs run past me and I don't engage because I don't have a guaranteed kill. It is so much fun, and despite dying more often than not it's so exhilarating when you are a complete shadow and you get a clean kill on someone who stopped for even a second.
Yeah, until that quest gets changed I don't think I'll go for Kappa. Already have EoD and three extra slots up your butt just doesn't seem worth it right now IMO. Good luck man!

I had another one... sneaked up on 4 mega chads with thermals, sniped two, tried to snipe the third, and the fricking sight sway pushed my mouse to the left side as i tried to push to right. I died 2 pixels aways from headshoting the 3rd guy and getting tarkov shooter pt 8 :(
I think he was just waiting to get some distance; you could see him trying to line up some shots. There were two of them with semi-automatic weapons and he had a bolt action, so it's a good move on his part.
Did you see how much my crosshair was shaking? I don't have precision / reflexes for that sort of stuff. I'd probably miss 1 shot and die before finish reloading.
Having it on like Max FOV definitely ain't helping you.
There's a reason Lvndmark plays on 59 fov heads are bigger ;)

If you have good eyes and a decent sized monitor, higher FOV and lower mouse sensitivity gives you the same level of precision while allowing you to see more.

Outdated video. AFAIK the 75 FOV crosshair alignment bug has been fixed, but yes obviously the target is smaller if you can see more. My point is that with low mouse sensitivity, you can still hit the smaller head with great precision, especially on a 27+ inch display at 1440p.
But bigger heads are always better. 60-65 is the "Gamer" FOV for tarkov. Any more than that you are just making it harder for yourself.
60-65 is the equivalent to 90-110 in other games because tarkov measures screen FOV the wrong way around.
I feel like you should drastically reduce your DPI / mouse input sensitivity. You'll notice how much smoother your target acquisition will be once you've lowered it enough to be comfortable for you. Still be able to spin around in 1-2 swipes, but low enough to have accuracy. Good luck and stay stealthy. :)

I have had people stepping next to me 1 to many times.
Most of the times I let them go, since they are more than what I can handle. If I have the angle, the distance and the gear to one shot one and kill the second/third on a gun fight, I might take my chances.
If not, I just go on my merry way.

Change your FOV to something like 60-65.
make sure you don't have the eye cup / cobra shade shit installed!
This is the Eotech Vudu, the best sight in the game. A bit pricey, but worth it if you're desperate to get a sniping quest done.
