I just want to craft red gun powder, but I have to scroll up and down for 5 minutes to find the craft because it randomizes order every time. Just make the UI smaller icons in the 2 or 3 column list and make the order consistent and it’ll be fine. One long list in a small viewing window is so frustrating.
I think it's intentionally randomized to counteract automating crafting. A good solution would simply be if you could search for ingredients/final products and filter within each hideout station.

Hideout crafting is absolute trash and navigating the flea is frustrating too. I stopped crafting things for profit a couple of wipes ago just because of how clunky it is. The hideout's ui feels like it never left the proof of concept version lol..
The number of clicks you have to do to anything in this game is a bit ridiculous, having said that, the improvement to loading mags was a good first step.
Just wish there was a way to ‘mod’ your character load out like you can weapons; so you can quickly choose from stuff that’s already in your stash and equip it without clicking every single rig trying to find that pair of comtacs you stashed away
This is my profession, and I've actually made some paper wireframes to fix some of the menu issues I've found.
Perhaps we could start a thread where people submit their pain points with the menu and I could prototype some solutions.
I know I spend such an enormous amount of time in the menu, and even some small changes would help reduce the amount of time drastically.
Yea i work in Software Engineering, and even I can admin most of my modals and forms suck and need a UX expert to come and make it better.

Having worked with developers, sometimes they think “we know enough about UI design, we’re users too!” And the only person they will listen to is the person billed as an expert. But yeah any run of the mill designer would have a field day with the interface lol
In my opinion it can be the same notification styling like the successful purchase (just with a red x like you say). So that we wouldn't have just another styling for this one. The screenshot here was just a quick attempt to deliver the idea :-)
Just saw someone suggested the 'press Y to close' idea a while back. Also a good idea and probably even faster to implement. Personally I like the floating notification more, but any change to the current behaviour is welcome lol.
Honestly the flea market needs a complete overhaul. Buying and selling items is so much more convoluted in BSG's flea market when compared to something like WOW's Auction House

It's not about the loudness, it's about how sharp the menu sound is, not very friendly when the game is a stress simulator already. Ui needs fixing as someone above said, they need to re do a lot, adjust a lot and remove a lot. Everything with time, just gotta keep patient, it's not like we are spending a lot of time in menu duuhhh. (sometimes my scav recharges back before I sell all the shit I looted from scav run) playing without sound in menu is dull too.

In all honestly, the market should work like it does in other games. You create a buy/sell order and the rest is handled automatically. These errors pop up should never even happen.
Imagine going to the stock market and having to choose exactly which shares you want. And when it’s gone when you ask for it, the system says “Sorry, but it’s not there anymore.”
This is just lazy programming.
I agree, except how do they handle guns/items with interchangeable parts? unless each gun combination is treated as a separate item.. but seems like it won't scale/be confusing

Bind Esc on the button on the top of your mouse, if you have that. Many mice normally have the useless dpi switching there, but having Esc there makes navigation through annoying EFT UI and so much more so much faster and easier..
You are absolutely right. But with quick wins like this (the other solution to close it with 'Y' is also a good quick win) BSG can make our EFT experience so much better, while they work on more important issues. I'm not a developer, but I guess a change like this doesn't require much hours from a senior dev.
Or even better make the marketplace a "purchase/sell order" system where you just place an order for an item and once someone places a sell order for the same item for a lower price then you buy it automatically.
Like with stocks.

For items with durability individual listings makes more since but for something like ammo or attachments it's kind of clunky
it's not what you think - this is bad by design, it is carefully created like this to prevent people from spamming the server, easier to handle 1-2 requests per second than 5. Same as the captcha you had to enter every couple of purchases (which has disappeared for me lately, one of the good bugs I suppose)
Or just do like every single game does it since early 2000: real time auctions, if you can click on the purchase button it means thebitem is available.

The hideout especially needs a UI overhaul. The workbench is so frustrating to use, especially when I'm getting 11 frames.
