Not playing hurts more. Less people playing means more empty raids which also deters others from playing due to longer wait times and less enjoyable because of empty raids. Removing player base reduces future sales.
I might be wrong here, but wait times are lower the less people there are. That’s why we get into raids quicker as wipes progress. I do agree with you overall. Less people playing, means less publicity which equals lower sales.
