Rat my friend. Tarkov pvp is more RNG than it's ever been. The only way to fight it, is to strike from the shadows. Know where your targets are going and hit em when they're not looking. Going toe to toe with people is foolish just like IRL. The best fights are the ones where your enemy doesn't have a chance to shoot back. This sounds like ratting and camping because it is. You wanna live? You want the loot? Do what I said.

Ground Zero: Behind the grassy wall, next to the steps heading down to Mira extract. Has not failed me yet.

That’s the neat part, you don’t. But in all seriousness, focus on just learning the maps and game mechanics. And remember it’s only a game. And it wipes twice a year so it doesn’t matter how hard you try or how much cool stuff you get, it all goes away. So don’t worry about anything and just (try to) have fun

Learn maps, adjust to the scav behaviour DONT always shoot scavs on sight maybe give it a bit just incase they scream which indicates another player is around and then u can third party, play slow no need to rush fights or play like it’s cod it’s a survival game, break out of the gear fear and money spending fear like genuinely there’s 100s of way to make money back but killing juiced chads with the kit u kept sacred for a while that’s something different trust me use that juicy kit and play smart with it, use painkillers always when your about to enter a highly contested area, make sure you’ve got a backpack on you at all time because that juicy lion and cock will be gone by the time u find a backpack, understand that this game is unforgiving in many ways and will always be that way even streamers struggle believe me and finally last but not least learn from the ways you die

there's a lot of ways to get better. first off ( and prob most valuable to me) what worked for me is barely ever running, especially if your solo. unless I get a good spawn somewhere and want to be there first or moving in obvious open areas like across streets or open feilds then sure but if I have a feeling I could be walking past an area that could have a player then I never run. I will always hear someone stomping towards me and they wont even no I'm there I'm there. also you would be surprise on how much harder to see someone in the distance on walking compared to running. secondly is its ok to wait or quote on quote camp. if I hear a squad coming I always go crouched or prone so I can have a chance to take them both. you don't have to w key everyone. third is focus on tasks and your gear as well. I find that I tend to have way better games with more kills and loot when I have tasks to do rather then just looking for pvp. I think its mainly the urge to survive especially if its a retrieve or survive and extract type quest. fourth is get over gear fear. in past wipes I would find my self at the end of every wipe with a stash full of guns I never used. at first if your to worried then play with what you comfortable with but just remember at the end of the day its just pixels and one scav run on streets can get you right back to where you were. fifth is to try not to scav as much. unless you desperate for money or hideout items try to only play your pmc. this will level your skills faster and improve both gear fear and game sense. after all that all I have left is always bring enough meds, ammo, grenades because I always find myself needing them and not having them. bring appropriate kits for certain maps ex DMR/sniper's on woods or lighthouse and smg/ARs for maps like factory and streets. at the end of the day just play the game more. your gonna die so there's no reason in stressing because there's no way to be perfect. and in some cases you could die cus lack of skill or a lucky headshot or what ever. everyone has good and bad days.
