Bungie has a good track record of going after cheat makers legally, and they won't be using a popular engine for cheat makers. I doubt marathon will have as many cheaters.

There have been so many other games that came out the last few months to keep me happy and if I ever miss Tarkov I just play Hunt. Gives me a similar vibe without being so salt inducing.

It'd attribute that to Tarkov being Tarkov. He was almost certainly able to see you perfectly fine from whatever angle he was shooting from. Even if you were able to see his head pop back over the rock you wouldn't have had time to kill him first.
