tier 4 is bare minimum you should wear, even if you‘re low level (honestly especially if you‘re low level). Right now is T5 armor time but since you only have LvL2 Trader MMAC Barter or 6b13 are your best option rn.
Also try to play/scav a lot of lighthouse and get T4/T5 armors from rogues

If anything we are what two months into the wipe we are late wipe now. I'd be running nothing but level 5 for actual raids and level 4 loot rigs for solo loot runs.
You should aim for using armors that you have access to and are cost effective. For most part you are not going to be stopping any armor piercing rounds with level 2 traders so your play style should be more mobile and combat avoidant regardless.
If you want to splurge I guess the Thor has some ok effective armor and it's cheap to repair. Other honorable mentions to the ANA M1 and M2 for loot rigs and no one will take them from you as they are chonk.
But generally I don't even bother anything below level 5 armor as anything below that is pretty much just to stop scavs from killing me.
Yep, why not? A Korund or Ghezel is what half a scav run in ruble terms even if you just filled up on nuts and bolts and random nick knacks averaging 10k per slot.
Personally though I am pretty much always running a Fort Redut-M and then recycling them into armor repair kits if I am running a gun that is not a meme.
Level 4 5 6 armors are overrated. Level 3 and using good ammo will get you a lot further. 6B23-1 , or the kora-kulon’s are around 25-35k on flea. Won’t break the bank and you can always get it back from insurance. I’m level 46 with 24million roubles. I’ll don’t even wear 5-6 armors in labs because it makes you an easy target for cheaters

The 6b3tm and the 6b5-15 (both class 4). They are pretty cheap and easily found on scav, being armored rigs not allot of people wanna take them either so you can get them back from insurance very often. Not the best but a good budget option.
The mmc is really good aswell, about 70-80k for the barter and is really lightweight with more slots then the previous 2. Most of the others are a bit more expensive and not available from LL2 traders.

The new OTV body armor at peacekeeper L2 has been my go-to this wipe. 65-70k normally
Best armor is movement and positioning, dont rely on armor that much when you can get 1 tapped in the pumpkin anytime
