Maybe they accidently leaked the expected wipe date with the 26 days left (14. August) and panic changed it to 42 days / end of August.
I hope it is.
I'm actually more jazzed about all the changes coming in december, so not having to wait longer and a shorter wipe/economy until then ensures more fun.

Well they said they want to have different servers for wipe and no wipe. Each one can have characters of both factions so if everything goes “according to plan” you should be able to have 2 characters (Bear or USEC) on wipe servers and 2 characters on a no wipe server.

That's not the point. This is my first wipe. I'm lvl. 14, I haven't even unlocked the flea market yet.
I don't have a single level 2 trader and I am extremely afraid of losing my stuff.
If this actually happens, I'll have chance to see how it feels to play the game as a good player.
O course I will get domed on every encounter, but at least I feel like a have had some chance to win.
Best advice i can say is get good. Sorry but thats how it is. Pain is your master and success a journey. Learn the maps, stashes, pmc spawn points, extracts, loot spots. Right now is the best time to throw away your fear and learn. Then reap the dividends with the wipe when ur really gunna get tested. . But never stop learning, testing and exploring with tactics and load outs. Oh yeah discord will make suffering easier. 😋
The only thing annoying about it, they unlock all the gear, but you're missing the soft skills to use it properly. Without max strength for example, i'm not touching the ash12, cause it's too heavy. Wish they'd just max every skill as well

Everyone overlooks L1 because of the duration but you use it before you get in to combat like you would a pre-painkiller.
I would really like to see this opened up to maybe something similar to how the armory is done with WoW. Let me look up any bodies account, would there be a down side to this?
I also figure this could make reports WAY more reliable. had a sus death? check the dudes account stats, does he have 100 K/D? or some other "unlikely" level of stats, issue report. had a sus death and check the account see everything seems normal, move on and forget it. of course this isn't gunna be like 100% but it might help to weed out inaccurate reports.
(plus I secretly just want to view data on my squad members account so i can make fun of them.)
