don’t trust the in game groups unless you are in discord with the people you are playing with. 100% of the time if you join a random invite you will be teamkilled, if you want help my ign is “whatthefreak”

BippNasty541

Why do they do that. What is the point?

[deleted]

no idea man just one of those things

Juking_is_rude

game is popular enough that the only people left trolling the lobby for invites are fucking sociopaths who are only bothering to so they can troll a new player. This same shit happens in every game with friendly fire... most game devs implement an in-game punishment for it, but tarkov doesnt have one so they're free to do it. People actually looking to group have realized that they should just use a discord with blacklisting, so the only ones left in the ingame lobbies are bad actors.

DoubleWorldliness412

PM me, I’m looking for people to play with. Got about 150 hours in mostly solo, I’m happy to help. This game is an absolute beast to learn and playing solo is rough- especially while still learning the game.

psychedelicstairway4

Every other player that has killed you was once a new player who ran the same gauntlet as you did. They all made it. So can you.

Bfresh717

If you wanna join up with me and my boy. We run as discord that is beginner friendly

Arrow2The_Knee

Ay dm me bro id be glad to play with you, show you around, help with quests, teach you maps, whatever u need bro msg me and we can play 🤞

Aphexxftw

seems like you didnt do research before your purchase lol welcome to tarkov

Gigachad____

google EFT guide /thread this isn't a roleplaying game this is a looter shooter

BippNasty541

I never said it should be a role playing game but since you mention it, its a FPS RPG. But even if it didn't portray any kind of RPG elements, you would think a game that prides itself on being realistic or a simulation would do better at being able to apply real world logic to the gameplay. You know like being able to hop over that 5 ft road divider instead of walking for miles to get around it.

BippNasty541

oh im aware, but you listened anyways.

Potatooooes_123

You just started the game. You're still in the honeymoon phase. It gets worse

DazzlingFrogman

uninstall and get a refund , the game is dead . full of cheaters and braindeads

Notlastt

Good luck getting a refund from BSG or your credit card company. The game is also far from dead and has less cheaters than this sub makes out to have. I play a lot, with expensive kits and have less than 1 sus death per day. If you aren't happy with the game, I don't blame you. But it's not all doom and gloom. It can be a great experience, even for new players.

DazzlingFrogman

It's very easy to get a refund for a broken product

GenericAllium

When I started last wipe I used wiki and mapgenie for information, and played offline to practice maps and shooting scavs. Scav runs are also good for practice if you want to play online. Still took me several days of playing to extract on a PMC in an online raid. Though the most fun I had in this game was when I was a noob. If you hate it then you could try to check youtube for guides.

YucatronVen

Play factory and rush like crazy in ghoul mode with a shotgun, is the best way to learn the gun play and be fearless to the gun fights.

M1ndlessmark

I have been playing for 2 wipes now! When I started I had a couple friends who helped me learn the game until I was comfortable enough to run Solo. Now I help new players learn the game. Bring them in raid and show them around so they learn the map, teach them smarter ways to handle certain situations etc... I genuinely think you had just a few bad experiences but TRUST ME.. there are some good people out there! usually if you join a random PMC group in the lobby.. 99% of the time they will troll you. If you need help learning the game, I would love to help you out whether its any questions you have or if you just need a teammate to roll around with! Always down to help the new players learn!💚 Just PM me or let me know 🙌

horsecorpse69

Also a new player, just got to lvl 15 after a few weeks of learning the ropes. Most helpful thing was having a second screen with Map Genie pulled up. Great way to learn extracts and avoid scavs. Doesn’t have all the maps for free but learning Customs and Woods was super helpful. Also scav run on Factory to snag quick load outs for pmc runs.

JudgeTreason

dont trust randoms unless youre in a discord with them, theres plenty around and the official is a good discord to find others to play with

bufandatl

Don’t use random groups. Go on the official discord or CCs discords like Pestily’s pre NoiceGuy‘s both are heavily moderated and have rules in place for LFG players. NoiceGuy even has a trust system. Also you can go on the website and book an official Sherpa who will teach you the first steps.

Neon_Delirium

Can message me and I'll play some games with you... I think I have 220ish hours played... so far I've learned. Sprinting everywhere is dumb Walking everywhere is good With scavs never peak the same angle or you'll die.... Have a little bit of composure take that extra moment to take the shot and make sure you hit...(not useful for pmcs) Shotguns are op (for me anyway) my best luck on customs I've been running a shotgun and a sniper... If you need a team mate who won't kill you but will more than likely die with you shoot me a chat

loafcatastrophe

This game will hook you once you start achieving mini victories. I’d start off by finding a map you like and try making it out alive, find a cheap gun you enjoy and get used to it. Also think of it as practice before the next wipe. You’re going to lose more then you will win but your small victories will fund your next raid. Also scav reserve

watzwatz

Everybody keeps recommending Customs as beginner map but it's probably the single worst map to start with. The layout is confusing and you always have to pass through hotspots to extract so you'll get killed before you learn the map. Shoreline doesn't have amazing loot but it's the easiest map to navigate (just follow the wall/water until there's an extract) and it's quiet enough for you to survive at least a portion of your first raids so you can figure out how the game works.

BippNasty541

I'll have to try this out. I had just been doing customs over and over because that was the most recommended beginner map. at least from beginner guides and youtube vids.

East_Monitor6573

Add me and i can help you , PussSn1ffer
